    I love all your videos - you are such a wonderful player and are able to bring the best out of every piano vst you demonstrate for us. Would you consider doing some lesson videos in the future - I love your flowing chords and runs - they sound beautiful .

    Finally A dry recorded library that is fantastic. The CFIII I downloaded last night feels great with little to No tweaking on the velocity.

    Hi Simeon,
    Excellent presentation and superb playing!
    I find in testing Pianoverse for a review, that the sympathetic resonance (harp resonance) to work as I would expect in regard to the sustain pedal. As long as sustain is held, and keys are released, the resonant strings ring on, but as soon as I release the pedal, they are damped and do not return if I then depress the pedal again. If I hold notes with the keyboard and have the sustain pedal depressed, then release the pedal, the resonant notes damp out while the chord being held stays.
    A fascinating effect is to vary the Harp Res control while depressing the sustain to swell or drop the resonant effect. This kind of effect can be added to the other great FX provided to take the pianos out of this world.
    Thanks for your excellent presentations.

    Incredible sound!!! Another delightful presentation! Speaking of delightful: Gforce Software came out with a brand new synth (and inexpensive): Oberheim OB-X. I am blown away by the sound quality. Awesome presets! WOW!!

    Simeon, your keyboard playing is amazing. You are able to make most any library sound awesome!
    May I ask, I’ve been watching your videos for a long time now. I’ve noticed you’ve most always had what looks like a separate small midi controller (with sliders, etc) sitting atop your keyboard. I think the one you use lately is different than the one you were using, say, two years ago. Could you tell us what controllers you’ve used in this manner, and which you can recommend? Thanks!

    • @PraiseTracks
      @PraiseTracks  10 месяцев назад

      Alan, the fader controller is the Studiologic MIXFACE and it has a lot of potential. I use it a lot for transport functions and as a supplement controller for CC11 Expression and of course CC1 Modulation. CASIO sent me one of their new Privia PX-S7000 keyboards that I have enjoyed using over the past month. I do see my SL88:Grand coming back into view soon. Thanks so much for your kind words and support and please let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Does pianoverse have any felt pianos?

    • @PraiseTracks
      @PraiseTracks  10 месяцев назад

      Not yet it appears, but you possibly could get some interesting felt like tones using some of the piano model settings, especially the tonal shift and convolution effects. Let's see what happens ;^)

      @PraiseTracks  10 месяцев назад

      No, it is still here and will be moving back into view soon. CASIO sent the Privia PX-S7000 to me and I have been enjoying it for the past few weeks. I am curious how the SL88: Grand will feel once it gets back into action. Stay tuned.

      @@PraiseTracks oh I can tell you that after playing that privia for a few months when you go back out to the sl88 you are going to feel it , but in a good way .

    Hello teacher, I would like to ask you, why did you decide to change your SL88 Grand for the Casio? Did the keys on the grand seem bad to you? Are they very heavy, tiring? I would like to know your opinion on the SL88 Grand. and also if it is noisy, especially when touching the keys. thank you so much.

    • @PraiseTracks
      @PraiseTracks  10 месяцев назад +1

      It is always my pleasure. So, the SL88:Grand will be coming back soon. I have enjoyed using the PX-S7000 and such a blessing for CASIO to support me in sending it my way to use in the studio. I am planning some other things with it to highlight where it’s strongpoints are. Stay tuned for more adventures.

    • @electedmusic7685
      @electedmusic7685 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@PraiseTracksOne last question please my friend, does the SL Grand have a feeling of exhaust at the end of the touch? Or do the keys go down to the bottom without tripping? Please Simón, thanks my friend

    • @PraiseTracks
      @PraiseTracks  10 месяцев назад +1

      @electedmusic7685 , I think you might be referring to “escapement”, this is the feeling of a little bump or break when you are playing the keyboard. The Casio and the SL88 do not have this feature and honestly it is not something that is a must have unless you were trying to fully realize a piano feel and performance.
      Using a controller of this type in a production environment will find you doing drums, synths, strings, guitars, you name it and the escapement feature could actually hinder in playing these other instruments.
      That is also why sometimes you might need a non weighted keyboard controller to achieve certain things that a weighted controller might not be able to handle efficiently.
      The key is feel and the return time of the keys in some cases. Playing fast repetitions require a keyboard that can bounce back quickly enough to be effective.
      Again, this all depends on the instrument you are playing and each one has a different approach. I hope that helps. Joyfully yours.

    Are The low notes on the Steinway has a smaller dynamic range or it's the curve that makes them sound like that? It's like those notes only have 5-7 velocities
    What's your opinion simeon❤

    • @PraiseTracks
      @PraiseTracks  10 месяцев назад

      I think this could be a side effect of the Just Noticable Difference approach where some key ranges might vary in the number of sample layers, but don’t quote me on that. I will see if there is a way to test and find out more. As you mentioned it could have something to do with how I had the velocity set up. Stay tuned.

      @@PraiseTracksi hope they fix this... And if they don't want to, i really hope they do it better with the upcoming Hamburg Steinway

    • @PraiseTracks

      @headsman2023 , yes, I was thinking that this is sort of a breaking in period so to speak with working with this new concept, especially a new sample playback engine. I am hoping with all of the feedback they should be getting will incorporate some refinements in future updates. Thanks so much for your kind support.
