Hey guys this was a great chat! Born in 1990 so both perspectives here were great.
Different topic but would you guys ever consider doing an episode on top 5 post punk/noise rock albums eg Birthday Party, Jesus Lizard, Sonic Youth etc. would love to hear your take on those genres. Keep it up guys love the videos I’ve discovered so far
5: Unplugged
4: Bleach
3: Incesticide
2: In Utero
1: Nevermind
Loved the podcast guys!!! My list goes
1.In utero
2.Bleach
3.Nevermind
4.Incestiside
5.Unplugged
There will never be another Kurt Cobain.
In Utero is my favorite album by them. Scentless Apprentice is their best tune
I was so into Nirvana back in 91,92,93. When I met them I was so excited to spend a few hours backstage but I was gutted to find Kurt quite juvenile. Grohl was a far better person to chat to.
When I was in middle school, every single kid I knew was listening to Nevermind. Needless to say my expectations were soaring. When I got the cassette, I did exactly what everyone else did when they got it.....I listened to Smells Like Teen Spirit over and over and over again. Once I got that out of my system, I decided to listen to the rest of the album. About halfway through, I remember thinking to myself, "huh. You know what.....this really isn't all that good." It definitely had it's moments, but I kept excepting another thrilling "ear-gasm" track like teen spirit. Disappointingly, it just never came.
There's no denying the impact that Nevermind had, but I reach for In Utero or even the Unplugged session anytime I get the rare itch for Nirvana.
Great video really enjoyed it. Great to have the 🇺🇸 🇬🇧 perspectives too

I’ve only heard the 3 studio albums and I rank them this way:
1. Nevermind
2. In Utero
3. Bleach
