In Utero is my favorite album by them. Scentless Apprentice is their best tune

I was so into Nirvana back in 91,92,93. When I met them I was so excited to spend a few hours backstage but I was gutted to find Kurt quite juvenile. Grohl was a far better person to chat to.

When I was in middle school, every single kid I knew was listening to Nevermind. Needless to say my expectations were soaring. When I got the cassette, I did exactly what everyone else did when they got it.....I listened to Smells Like Teen Spirit over and over and over again. Once I got that out of my system, I decided to listen to the rest of the album. About halfway through, I remember thinking to myself, "huh. You know what.....this really isn't all that good." It definitely had it's moments, but I kept excepting another thrilling "ear-gasm" track like teen spirit. Disappointingly, it just never came.
There's no denying the impact that Nevermind had, but I reach for In Utero or even the Unplugged session anytime I get the rare itch for Nirvana.
