Honestly i'd like a 10-episode limited series following dipper and mabel as teenagers or young adults and cover darker and more existential themes with some eldritch horror sprinkled in. But a stan and ford miniseries could good too. Its just that personally if we get more animated stuff, i'd want to see it with the pines twins
A spin off series with mable and dipper as teens going through highschool and the experiences that come with it or as young adults with an element horror incorporated with be actually be ideal in my opinion.
What would do the series wonders is either a What if gravity falls show, or just a special every now and then, exploring adventures that flesh out the characters more, or side characters, some specials wouldn’t even feature the Pines Family.
Ngl I would LOVE a version of each episode that has multiple additional parts that shows the aftermath of the pines failing. So the episodes play out basically the same but they are different to lead the pines to loosing
Id honestly love to see a series meant for older viewers like F&C, but centered around Stan and Ford, like them travelling the world finding and solving new mysteries, maybe even an "Antigravity Falls" like the upside down from stranger things could come into play!
Nearly everyone: “if we get a more gravity falls I want it to be about where everyone is today” Me: if we get a more gravity falls I want it to be about Stan and Fords adventures in the arctic
@@Supasmartguy I do think it’s funny that Alex wrote this deep heartfelt post about why he made the series, how it’s representative of the feeling of growing up and how summer doesn’t last forever, how proud he is of a making a series that actually has a concrete ending… And all fans can think is “Well sure this is super heartfelt, but IT’S BEEN TEN YEARS SO MAYBE he changed his mind about this whole ‘the theme of the series is childhood and how nothing lasts forever’ SENTIMENTAL CRAP and we can have MORE CONTENT FOREVER”
@@cartoonishidealism582 Disney already confirmed that they're in discussions with him, and the end of season 2 very heavily hinted that they would return to Gravity Falls the next summer, and the show could simply become less about growing up and more about transitioning into a life when you're older for season 3.
Anti-Gravity Falls would be a great way of making a show that shows what Stanford Went through after “A Tale of Two Stans”. Picture this as an opening to the first episode: It’s a black screen with the echoed voices of Stanley and Stanfords fight but as we hear Ford shout “STANLEYYYY-“ as he’s sucked into his portal the screen flashes as we see Ford exit the portal on the other side leading right into what was written in the journal 3 book. Then we see Ford’s episodic adventures as he’s exploring, escaping and helping people from bill and his henchmainiacs.
man. the mabel in the thumbnail looks so sadistic that feels like bill is really controling her body.good job making that. good video too. this is hard to finde these kind of masterpiece
Gravity Falls: The Other Side Prequel series that follows Stanford after he got thrown into the multiverse by his portal. I could imagine the intro would go so hard
I've been following since the days we were making/solving the codes and theories on this channel and while I've been off and on watching since, gravity falls content I consume is all by you
Main things I'd want for a Gravity Falls Season 3 is more interactions between Dipper and Pacifica, really felt a lot could've still be done with seeing how Pacifica's parents reacted after she finally stood up to them. Really felt there should've been more there.
Considering that Bill is something of his creation, and therefore a part of his mind, that is a genuine possibility. Because he technically is Bill, so Bill IS trolling us. Or maybe the events of Gravity Falls actually happened to him and his sister when they visited their aunt in Oregon as kids. Just a thought. Absolutely ridiculous, but fun to think about.
If we're getting a Season -1 with Stan and Ford, then I want Shermie Pines to be in it too. Be great to see them visit Ford at his lab and staying in touch with Stan during the first half, then dealing with Ford disappearing and Stan taking over the Mystery Shack.
now thinking about it the potential for a story about stan and ford has so much potential with the old series being centered around childhood a prequal could be about adulthood and the growing pains that come with it and with it being for older audiences it's the old fan base that is going through the same problems and also theres stories that could be made after gravity falls with the stan o war and to keep the trend of being about stages in life that could be about old age and coming in terms with it which I feel like could be hard for ford
15:55 OKAY BUT WHAT IF AT THE END OF SOME EPISODES, YOU SEE STAN AND FORD WITH DIPPER MABLE AND MAYBE SOOS AND WENDY AND THEY ARE TELLING THEM STORIES. IT WOULD GIVE THEM A CHANCE TO AGE UP CHARACTERS IF THEY WANTED TOO !!!!
I still think that Alex is working on a Gravity Fall Spin Off show with Bill as the main character, but having a Prequel about Standford and Standly would be Wild!!! Only time will tell. Also, Animators have RIGHTS, please support them!!
My personal hope and theory us that Season -1 is going to be Bill's Story, showing us his early life leading up to the destruction of Euclydia. We've been getting SO much Bill lore lately! Including the names of his parents. It really feels like they're leading to a full-on Bill prequel mini-series
it would be neat to have a season 3 and have it just side episodes, like things in the past or future, like showing bill before he destroyed his universe, ford while in the nightmare realm and the stan-o-war exploring the anomaly that was detected at the ending of the last episode, things like that
Season -1, more books, and a movie! All three! You’ve already given an idea for a prequel, but I’d add in that the Stans are sharing these stories while off sailing around the world to catch up. You know, there should totally be an episode about Stan and Eda’s weekend in Las Vegas, because we all know that Eda is Marylin. As for the movie, Dipper and Mabel’s variants seek revenge. See you next Summer. It should also have Dipper and Pacifica finally getting together: they’re the best ship in the franchise! But when it comes to the books, the sky’s the limit. There could be one about Dipper’s new Pine Tree Journal detailing his and Mabel’s teenage years. Or a book about Stan and Ford’s adventures at sea. Heck, give Pacifica a book about what happens to her Wendy and the others after the twins leave. The possibilities are endless. But what about Bill? Well, I say they name him return as one of the primary antagonists an omega crossover between all the Fisney cartoons! An homage to Secret Wars of epic proportions. You name it, it’s in it. Just imagine Kim Possible fighting side by side with Dipper and Mabel. Or Luz with Anne. Star with Phineas and Ferb. Perry with Stitch. It goes on and on until they all come together to fight and bond in harmony. It could be an epic 1 season show.
I think it would be cool to have a Bill centered surreal humor series or smth like that, half funny nightmare fuel, half existential crisis. I really liked how The Book Of Bill turned out and it would be so cool to get to see more of him and his narrative style in general
I think a sequel series of the kids going on a summer adventure with Stan and ford on the stan-o-war 2, visiting different countries and mysterious islands finding more paranormal activity would be lit
if they could combine this idea with the Stan twins's adventures in Antarctica, like if a ton of the series was them telling stories of what they've been through + Ford in the Nightmare realm and the much creepier cryptids Stanley encountered in his years at the town, I WOULD BE SO SO HAPPY!
im definetley a new generation gravity falls fan (started watching in 2022) since i was a nick kid growing up, and literally only watched loud house/spongebob. however, it'd be really cool to see another gravity falls season since i wasnt really consious when the show ended (i was 5-6)
An idea that I've always liked is since Season 1/2 focused on themes surrounding childhood and the finite nature of it, what if season 3 is following Dipper and Mabel returning to Gravity Falls as adults and them facing the struggles that young adults face?
I think they should atleast do a three episode special centered around Bill, Ford and Stan just for a quick check in and to see how the effect of weirdmagedon on gravitfalls have changed the town.
Gravity falls came out while I was in college and I totally missed out!! Watched it on Disney Plus over lockdown. All you RUclipsrs who made videos about it really made me love it so much more. It sounded like an incredible fan base and the cipher hunt sounded SO cool! I am SO happy and greatful for the Book of Bill and that I get to join in on the Fandom this time💖💕 I would just DIE for a show about Ford's time in the portal. There is SO much potential there.
What if, -1 series, antigravity falls, is set in the winter time? Like back when Stan and Ford re-meet up? Basically telling more of the stan-bro's backstory.
If we're getting a season 3, it'd be cool if it was focused on Soos's kids, and Dipper and Mabel hung out with them. And it's set in 2025, so they're 12
Honestly, for a sequel, I'd love a show that focused on Stan and Ford. As a sequel, a technical season 3, we could get everything you talked about and more. We could see them go on their adventures as old men and, because they're older, they're going to reminisce on their adventures as kids and even sit down and talk about everything they went through while they were apart. They might even video chat with Dipper and Mabel, telling them some of the stories, especially as they're preparing to leave middle school and transition to high school after the next summer. We'd get to hear more about their experiences in high school, including more information about Stan's relationship with Carla. However, there's an idea for a movie that Chestnut Tanuki came up with based on a theory she has about the book of Bill's canon audience. It's not us and it's none of the characters we've seen, but they're closer to the characters than you'd think. She believes that the reader of "The Book of Bill" is none other than the twins' father and that this could be set up for a possible continuation. I agreed with the idea and how it could have us pick up where we left off. Dipper and Mabel arrive back in Piedmont, we get to see their home situation as well as their transition back into their daily routines. We see how their time in Gravity Falls changed them and get reminded of how they were before by their classmates and parents, much like in the first special in the third season of "The Owl House" and the comments and flashbacks about Luz. The twins later learn that Bill has gotten to their father and they call Stan and Ford for help and, in the end, their father chooses family over anything the isosceles demon can offer him.
i would honestly much prefer a prequel. the way dipper’s and mabel’s story ended was satisfying and finalizing. but having a prequel just makes so much sense w everything we’ve been teased w ford and bill, etc
So from what I’m getting at: Inside Job was cancelled because there was a lot of shit going on at Netflix. I wouldn’t say it’s *entirely* their fault, even though it sucks that Inside Job was cancelled
I feel like he could do 2-more gravity falls seasons where it’s about growing up and being a teenager about to transition into adulthood and like after that summer dipper and Mabel leaves to college
Given the series finals or Amphibia and The Owl House being more mature I wouldn't doubt that Disney may sign on Alex Hersh to make a new season or a new show. There is more than enough fans to would watch. Financially it comes down to Disney's choice in funding animation. Dana Terrace recently joined an animation rally on 8-10-24 to fight for animation jobs to be employed by artists over AI artwork.
It would be nice to learn more about Shermy Pines. I know the baby in the flashback is not considered canon. In a Q&A, there was a miscommunication. It would be nice to see his timeline and more interactions from the past, especially related to Stan and Ford's relationship besides just being brothers.
What I want is a remaster. Every single adventure in the books, shorts, everything, animated as a full length episode. From their parents telling them they're going to Gravity Falls, to them coming back home. And give Wendy and Ford WAAAY more screen time. It is criminal that they did not use them enough. They don't even talk to each other. Not once.
If anything, maybe shorts, it won’t be as exhausting as a fall on episode and still something the fans can enjoy. We can still get a lot from shorts, for example chicken nuggets is a short run show, so I think that could work
Possibly a hot take: I would rather Inside Job get a season 3 than Gravity Falls I love GF to death and Alex is such an insanely talented creator who deserves the world, but god damn do I love Inside Job
It would make sense to make Antigravity falls for one season produced like a play by Bill to get the casual viewers on the same page as the hardcore fans, ending in a massive teaser for season 3.
If Weirdmageddon was made as it's own seperate TV movie and the episodes it took up in Season 2 proper were used for a few more episodes to perfect the pace, I think gravity falls would be nearly flawless.
Hi 100% think the anti-gravity Falls thing is just a gag because. It’s just going backwards. And anti-gravity Falls would either be a different timeline. A different world. Or just being in the weirdness dimension, but we already got that in the journal… so 100% think that it’s fake
When I watched the last episode of Gravity Falls. I feeled bad about the shows ending and immidiately feel better because doing a series that doesn't explain Stanley and Stanford's lives would be a war crime. The bad part is that it was like 2019 and I was about 6 years old and thought the show ended recently💀
I do think the “anti-gravity falls season -1” was just a joke/troll on the website with the intention that you would enter season 3 first and have the website troll you with responses there could possibly be some more animated gravity falls content on the horizon but I don’t think that this was the teaser we were looking for😅
I always thought a sequel series had poignant stories to tell. Anyone who grew up with summer away from their regular friends and neighbors knows the potential themes- wondering who's still there, coming back to shifted social landscapes. Relationships maturing, or disappearing. Great respect for standing fast when the idea ran out, but gravity falls is staying with all these people for their whole lives, and going back as an adult still has all those same themes. All to say, I hope Hirsch will one day open up to explore this universe again.
I find it bizarre how some fans just go "lalala no sequel is happening how dare you want one HOW DARE YOU REEEE". Like there's a lot of weird, cool, sad, and dark themes you could address with older Pines twins and their aging grunkles. It wouldn't exactly be Gravity Falls, but then again the best sequels aren't just "the same, but more" they take the original idea and expand upon it with new stuff. Like LOTR
I could see this being a complete backwards account from Season 1. S-1.E20 being the first episode where Ford gets launched into the Nightmare Realm. S-1.E19 is them discovering how Bill plans on enacting the very first Weirdmageddon event. S-1.E18 is the Brother's reunion. And then it tracks backwards until Episode 5 by splitting each episode between the brothers in separate locations. Episodes 1-5 show the Brothers as they first enter Gravity Falls and ending in their ultimate split up. This would round-out the series perfectly with the real introduction to Bill Cypher, Ford, and Gruncle Stan. But for now, it's a theory... Also, with Disney, they won't necessarily announce a show before it's in production. They announced Phineas and Ferb on Dan Povenmire's permission, as he was releasing that info on TikTok already. So if Alex Hirsch asks them to keep it secret until it's ready for production or release, and has that in his contract, they'll do it - especially if releasing that information publicly would cause any form of lawsuit with Netflix which could tie up production of Antigravity Falls.
"legally impossible"?as grunkle Stan once said "when there's no cops around, anything's legal "

Why
@@ntinosaggelopoulos6718 because it would be interesting
Id honestly love to see a series meant for older viewers like F&C, but centered around Stan and Ford, like them travelling the world finding and solving new mysteries, maybe even an "Antigravity Falls" like the upside down from stranger things could come into play!
I just realized you had SPVTWTG music in the background. Also I agree with your suggested prequel series idea, Anti-Gravity Falls sounds awesome
Nearly everyone: “if we get a more gravity falls I want it to be about where everyone is today”
Me: if we get a more gravity falls I want it to be about Stan and Fords adventures in the arctic
Maybe they could make a season 3 and just have it be less about growing up and more about transitioning into a life when you're older.
he stated he dosen't see himself making a sequel...
@@Mayo_Nayoo this very video confirmed that he stated that almost a decade ago. People can change their minds in that kind of time.
@@Supasmartguy I do think it’s funny that Alex wrote this deep heartfelt post about why he made the series, how it’s representative of the feeling of growing up and how summer doesn’t last forever, how proud he is of a making a series that actually has a concrete ending…
And all fans can think is “Well sure this is super heartfelt, but IT’S BEEN TEN YEARS SO MAYBE he changed his mind about this whole ‘the theme of the series is childhood and how nothing lasts forever’ SENTIMENTAL CRAP and we can have MORE CONTENT FOREVER”
@@Supasmartguy mmmm....
Picture this as an opening to the first episode:
It’s a black screen with the echoed voices of Stanley and Stanfords fight but as we hear Ford shout “STANLEYYYY-“ as he’s sucked into his portal the screen flashes as we see Ford exit the portal on the other side leading right into what was written in the journal 3 book.
Gravity Falls: The Other Side
Prequel series that follows Stanford after he got thrown into the multiverse by his portal.
I could imagine the intro would go so hard
I've been following since the days we were making/solving the codes and theories on this channel and while I've been off and on watching since, gravity falls content I consume is all by you
I’d love a show about the Stan bros as kids, little ford is just TOO CUTE. Maybe we could also get to see shermie pines or whatever his name was
Main things I'd want for a Gravity Falls Season 3 is more interactions between Dipper and Pacifica, really felt a lot could've still be done with seeing how Pacifica's parents reacted after she finally stood up to them. Really felt there should've been more there.
Alex Hirsch just loves trolling people. (or is it BILL trolling us?)
Im hoping that if season -1 even exists then I really hope it’s either about what bill cypher did in the past or fords work while he was in the woods.
If we're getting a Season -1 with Stan and Ford, then I want Shermie Pines to be in it too. Be great to see them visit Ford at his lab and staying in touch with Stan during the first half, then dealing with Ford disappearing and Stan taking over the Mystery Shack.
Season -1 makes me think we are gonna get a prequel about bill cipher's childhood/past.
A season 3 of the original show is almost definitely never going to happen. A movie, spinoff, and something like SU Future are all EXTREMELY possible.
now thinking about it the potential for a story about stan and ford has so much potential with the old series being centered around childhood a prequal could be about adulthood and the growing pains that come with it and with it being for older audiences it's the old fan base that is going through the same problems and also theres stories that could be made after gravity falls with the stan o war and to keep the trend of being about stages in life that could be about old age and coming in terms with it which I feel like could be hard for ford
Your idea for season -1 is amazing and I'd love to actually see it happen!!
ALL IN FAVOR!
6:42 huh deltarune character in a gravity falls video wasnt on my bingo card
My personal hope and theory us that Season -1 is going to be Bill's Story, showing us his early life leading up to the destruction of Euclydia. We've been getting SO much Bill lore lately! Including the names of his parents. It really feels like they're leading to a full-on Bill prequel mini-series
it would be neat to have a season 3 and have it just side episodes, like things in the past or future, like showing bill before he destroyed his universe, ford while in the nightmare realm and the stan-o-war exploring the anomaly that was detected at the ending of the last episode, things like that
Can’t wait for more content from this channel TheRoundtable!
I bet Disney just has one guy waiting for Alex's call that he's ready to make more lmao
Man I just finished the show for the second time I don't need that depressing thumbnail 😭
I'm betting its gonna be a 6 50mins special episodes like distant lands and fiona and cake, if it's a success they might make an actual season 3
4:19 any other bodily fluids?
Hehe
Sounds like he needs some help from a certain talking triangle

Season 3 gang ======>

I am SO happy and greatful for the Book of Bill and that I get to join in on the Fandom this time💖💕
I would just DIE for a show about Ford's time in the portal.
So from what I’m getting at:
Inside Job was cancelled because there was a lot of shit going on at Netflix. I wouldn’t say it’s *entirely* their fault, even though it sucks that Inside Job was cancelled
I feel like he could do 2-more gravity falls seasons where it’s about growing up and being a teenager about to transition into adulthood and like after that summer dipper and Mabel leaves to college
I'd love a series of ford- the dramatic irony of his interactions with bill before the end
Have Stanly stories as B plots
Bro fords stance at 10:05 😭 I can’t bro…
If we get a Stan Bros prequel, we NEED Stan and Eda’s Vegas wedding/scam
What I want is a remaster. Every single adventure in the books, shorts, everything, animated as a full length episode. From their parents telling them they're going to Gravity Falls, to them coming back home. And give Wendy and Ford WAAAY more screen time. It is criminal that they did not use them enough. They don't even talk to each other. Not once.
If anything, maybe shorts, it won’t be as exhausting as a fall on episode and still something the fans can enjoy. We can still get a lot from shorts, for example chicken nuggets is a short run show, so I think that could work
I remember being a little little kid and getting home from school and turning on gravity falls and i was heart broken when it ended
when he said "twin convention", did anyone else hear "twink invention" lmao
Possibly a hot take: I would rather Inside Job get a season 3 than Gravity Falls
I love GF to death and Alex is such an insanely talented creator who deserves the world, but god damn do I love Inside Job
Plus, Inside Job actually has story left to tell
It would make sense to make Antigravity falls for one season produced like a play by Bill to get the casual viewers on the same page as the hardcore fans, ending in a massive teaser for season 3.
I would definitely love to see a sequel series where we go through Bill’s life in the Theraprism, and his growing insanity and guilt.
We can also see how Stan met eda
0:07 I'm surprised there wasn't variants similar to "Gravity Rises" ( The AU where Mabel has Dipper's personality & Dipper has Mabel's personality).
“No one would expect a negative number!”
-Mabel
If Weirdmageddon was made as it's own seperate TV movie and the episodes it took up in Season 2 proper were used for a few more episodes to perfect the pace, I think gravity falls would be nearly flawless.
Hi 100% think the anti-gravity Falls thing is just a gag because. It’s just going backwards. And anti-gravity Falls would either be a different timeline. A different world. Or just being in the weirdness dimension, but we already got that in the journal… so 100% think that it’s fake
A prequel About Bills past and childhood would be fun
That fact that Alex hasn’t come out and said “nah guys we are just having fun and making art” to shut down the movie/season rumours speaks volumes
I do think the “anti-gravity falls season -1” was just a joke/troll on the website with the intention that you would enter season 3 first and have the website troll you with responses there could possibly be some more animated gravity falls content on the horizon but I don’t think that this was the teaser we were looking for😅
0:30 this kinda reminded me of an old weird theory that Bill Cipher was sent back to season 1 after his death, so basically making season 3 season 1
Maybe it’s gravity falls with all the anti characters, anti Mabel anti dipper anti ford anti stan
4:57 funfact Bojacks creator is working around a new show.
Like LOTR
@timsaylor4390 until cannon resolves the issue, I see gravity falls as the children's prequel to the x-files.
If there was a show about Stan and Ford, I would call it Gravity Grunkles
