Mate, the first time I opened and set up my ps4 (the Christmas just gone) it literally told me that if you click R3 it can be a motion control keyboard. Who doesn't know any of these things?

I can turn on my PlayStation through my tv. And I don't even need to touch the PlayStation controller, I just use the tv's remote controller.

No you don't you just need a TV with regza link,arc link,or various others most post 2010 models have one it will probably on HDMI 1 and you may need to enable it on TV settings but that will turn on and on some turn off the ps3,ps4

These are not HIDDEN features, anyone can do these things just by going through the menus and a bit of reading. If someone can show me something thats not on the standard menus, like developer options or something, then id be impressed.

I think the video poster needs to learn the definition of the word hidden...
For example, you can put the controller into Bluetooth Pairing mode by holding the Playstation and Share buttons together. Then you can pair it with a mobile or PC with bluetooth and never need to plug it in again.

If you hold down the options and the ps button same time your controller will go to bluetooth mode and you can connect your phone to it and play your phone games with ps controller.

Motion control typing takes longer to use than using the D-pad so it's fucking pointless
or you can leave pop ups active and be curious and read those tips, I'm not a power gamer I must play like three or four hours a week and I knew everything except the PC streaming, thought it was only supported by PS Vita

What isn't widely known is Double tapping the PS button can bring you back to a previous screen you were on for instance messages party screen double tap to get back to game or vice versa, its been in since launch im sure

FYI: If you sit close enough to your PS4(or PS3) you can use a USB keyboard for quick and easy messaging. There's also multiple apps you can use with smart phones to write messages and some even allow for speech to text so you can say what you want to write and voila. So no need to use the on screen keyboard or the motion control crap on the controller.
Not only that but the TOUCHPAD is what is constantly draining the battery on the Dualshock 4. I get around SIX measly hours on a DS4 as opposed to 20+ with a DS3. That's with the onboard speaker turned down, rumble OFF and the light dimmed. Most developers don't even use the touchpad as anything more than a glorified SELECT button anyway.
I just want to say thank you so much, just recently my old man died and because of that I've had to stay around with my mother as she doesn't like being alone, then there's my autistic sister who I'm a carer for, albeit 24/7 at the moment...literally, this meant I couldn't play my PS4 and that's kinda what I needed to do to take my mind off of thing's, now I can play my PS4 downstairs on my PC which is a massive help, thank you dood. :'D

I always wanted a ps4. Also I always wanted to play in a console game of my own. I sometimes go to my friend's house and play it. Once my parents came to know this and they beaten me so badly. I'm always scared to ask my parents to buy me a ps4. Even my parents don't like me if I do my homework and get good grades. I'm only allowed to watch RUclips. I never celebrated my birthday. My friends tried to surprise me on my birthday but they couldn't because of my parents. I'm totally burden

Thanks for posting this. I guess I'm not just as "power-user-ish" as some of these people, so I appreciate you pointing these out. I'm just getting a PS4, and while I likely would have stumbled across these as I explored or as the need presented itself, you saved me some time.
Also, nice production value on the video. I enjoyed the music. One recommendation, would be to add a voice narration, as I like to run these videos in the background while working on other things, and it would have been nice if I didn't have to stare at the screen the entire time.

You can also listen to music on your PS4 controller with headphones by opening the Media Music app and plug in your USB
Mo Pie you can do that without plugging it in, just go onto Spotify and listen while ingame

I knew all of this. I expected to find something I never knew about but unfortunately my expectations weren't correct.
Hell, I just didn't know you could dim that light, so many games played with slightly more light than necessary (should be able to shut the damn thing off). Shows how I'm focused to the point of being oblivious, I've been in that menu a dozen times to shut the controller off, and never saw that option.
I don't understand why moving your finger is more effortless than moving your wrists.

I know pretty much all of them and I'm not even an expert in technology or play video games all day. I just know the Remote Play one, and the fact that you can stream games from the console to a PC is like, DUH???, I discovered the motion keyboard myself when the console showed me how to do it, I know the light on the controller, "turn on your PS4 and instantly TV turns on too", WOW. And I know the changing buttons one.
