It might work. I had a serious air filter problem on a 48" Ferris mower with a Briggs & Stratton 44T977 engine. The air intake is down low and and quickly got plugged with material, especially in the fall when mulching leaves. I had to design several modifications (adapters and brackets) in order to use this filter. That video will release next Saturday.
Good to know that the outflow pipe rotates. I'm seriously considering using one of these on my 500cc UTV.
