I don't agree, many of these are high in carbs and will NOT be satiating long term - and should IMHO not be included in any diet, yes... I'm reeking all the benefits of Keto/Carnivore diet for plus 1 year, no longer type 2 diabetes - and OMAD, however, good to see the proteins up there... eggs, fish and cheese should be on any list (animal fats =satiating), as well as some crusiferous vegetables and some berries - only just some times... rest is garbage... sorry, just my 2 cents worth... eat more meat and animal fats, this is the only food that will keep you satiated and feeling good long term ;-) Calories in calories out is basically nonsense. Cheers :-)

I’m 54 and I’ve struggled with my weight since my mid-late thirties.
4 months ago I was warned about my pre diabetic blood levels.
I quit: Beer (actually now about once a month as a treat)
All white carbs (pasta bread flour pastries) crisps
All processed sugars (including brown or cane)
    All wheat products.
Most dairy except some goat/sheep cheese, yoghurt and butter.
I cut back on carbs in general and eat a much smaller amount of brown rice noodles, brown basmati rice, sweet potato, Yam, buckwheat, green bananas.
I eat copious amounts of frozen wild salmon (it’s surprisingly cheap!) tuna, sardines, herring, mackerel, haddock, snapper, dorade.
    I avoid farmed fish.
(Edit) I eat broccoli, Brussel sprouts, Bok-Choi, mange-tout, carrots, peppers, chilis, chick peas, kidney beans, white beans, lentils.
I avoid almost anything in a packet or anything with an ingredients list longer than the essential food itself.
I lost 11 kgs so far and have never felt better in my adult life.
I have about 7 or 8 to go I reckon.
The other day while moving a guitar amp I put it on the scales and it weighed 10kg.
As I picked it up again and walked with it I realised that I had been carrying it’s equivalent in fat all these years.
Eat lots of good proteins and get rid of all those poisonous white sugary carbs...

i Agree, this video is ok but its still based on the old theory of calories..... Carbs and processed foods and sugars are all you need to cut out.... this will automatically reduce calories anyway. Carbs, Sugar and Processed foods cut that out do some basic exercise and you will loose weight . Ad intermitting fasting which simply means just skip breakfast and will totally increase weight loss.

WelL G.C. Morocco, your a rare disciplined person but I admire your determination. Everyone knows what they’re weakness is in terms of food. Some people can do what your doing but most can’t.
If you can get down to a health BMI for your height often this will be enough to drift your numbers for diabetes back into a healthy range. As a wellness nurse for decades helping people with cardiovascular & pulmonary rehabilitation and diabetes education. Goal is eat less move more. Avoiding white starchy foods and starchy vegetables and nothing’s eliminated it’s all about how much (serving size) and how often.
      Wishing you good luck 😉

      Thanks for the comment Simone!
But I assure you I’m really not very disciplined.
The worst part was the first couple of weeks of not eating pasta, bread, or rice dishes.
It’s those very things that cause the cravings of “hunger”
Once the body gets used to it, it’s really not that hard.
I think the trick is to concentrate on the foods that you absolutely love eating outside of sugar and processed carbs.
For me it’s Ceviche, avocado, Mediterranean fish and veggie dishes, stir fry veg, salmon steaks, super salads...
Also the cold fear of diabetes and other related chronic illnesses helps to keep my fingers off when someone offers me a beer and a pizza!
I’d like to see my granddaughters grow up...
Hope you and yours are keeping well in these difficult times!

The #1 thing is planned and structured diet, because the only way for your body to burn fat is to use it as energy. Basically, you need to eat below your energy maintenance level (in terms of calories) and your fat cells will be used to compensate the missing energy (calories). That's how your body works. There are other things to consider as well, such as hormonal status, diseases... but caloric deficit is a must. You have a lot of online diet planners and calculators. I have used dietarize for example, or even prodietbuddy... Losing weight is just a simple math, really...

Dont do that. Dont eat less either. You need those calories or your muscles will break down. If you want to lose weight healthy fast. This bitch has no idea what hes talking about. This is healthy food. But to have a balanced diet you need protein and calories. When you fast its healthier because your body produces a growth hormone that keeps your body from losing muscles while you only lose fat. They also did studies to show fasting is healthier for the brain. If you want to lose weight you should eat normally but exercise. When you eat less your metabolism goes down as well meaning you're much more likely to gain that fat back. It's a willpower thing tho. If you have any questions about fasting properly I gottchu. This guy has no clue what hes talking about.

After reading books, articles and watching RUclips videos on dieting for 30 years, I am declaring that this 11 minute video is all you need to lose weight. It is the best in the business. Forget the magazine subscriptions, the specialty meals and supplements. Watch this video, throw out all the junk food, and go shopping according to what this guy recommends.
I had invented my own diet 10 years ago. Eat one can of standard Progresso or Chunky Soup (no weird cream or cheese bases) and one bag of popcorn (even WITH butter flavor) every day. No cookies or chips. Eat as much of anything else I want (realistically). I lost 20 pounds in 6 months. Glad to see soup made this list. You don't see that too often even though it is obvious. I haven't heard good things about potatoes in 20 years. Glad this guy explained it. And I have avoided oatmeal because I had it so much as a kid. Going to give it another try. THANK YOU.

Sustainable weight loss goals are more likely to succeed than difficult to achieve or unrealistic goals to sustain over time. Find a routine that works for you and stick with it. Mindless eating and constant snacking is a common cause of obesity in America.
Weigh yourself first thing in the morning after emptying your bladder but before eating or drinking anything. Do it in the same clothes (like in your pajamas or in underwear). This is called your dry weight. I recommend keeping a calendar over the scale with a pencil on a string so you can write it on the calendar. One pound loss per week is a goal most everyone can achieve. One can always lose more. Dry weights can more reliably be more accurate comparison from day to day. 4 pounds a month will easily add up. That’s 12 pounds in 3 months. It can be sustainable for most people. Try hard to eat slowly because it takes 20 minutes for the brain to register that your full. Plate should be 1/2 non starchy vegetables, 1/4 lean protein and 1/4 carbohydrate, preferably whole grain. This and not taking second portions at meals while limiting snacks throughout the day can often be enough for slow weight loss to occur. BMI goals 25 or below. 27 is “at risk for obesity”. Just stick to your sustainable goals and weigh once a week only. Daily dry weights are recommended if you have congestive heart failure to look for fluid retention. For those who don’t have CHF, weekly weights should be frequent enough to watch for trends and not too frequent as to not be helpful.

Oatmeal pudding is the king of low calorie breakfast. I usually boil around 75 grams for breakfast in half a liter of water... obviously some of that water boils off, but the majority of the water goes into putting extra weight and volume to pudding, you end up with about 400-450 grams of pudding containing less than 200 calories. From 75 grams to 475 grams, that's a pretty decent increase in weight, and the volume is pretty thick too. It doesn't taste of much though, very boring meal, so I usually add a sweetener as well as cinnamon for flavor. Actually, I mix a zero-calory crystalline sugar-like sweetener with cinnamon and just sprinkle that on top. Very delicious and christmasy ;-)

      Avoid ALL WHITE CARBS!!
Avoid anything in a packet with a list of ingredients that you don’t recognise.
Avoid all soft drinks and fruit juices.
Eat smaller amounts of unprocessed whole meal carbs and lots of good lean protein, fish, chicken, and green veggies!

I dipped them in some homemade hot sauce that I made earlier in the day from boiled jalapenos, tomatoes and onion plus salt for added flavor. I don't know how many calories were in it, but it couldn't have been too high because of the ingredients in it. I ate those two things along with 4 oz of 93% lean ground beef (160 calories) for dinner......everything was very tasty and VERY filling!

This is obviously a different strategy than KETO which I am on. Keto is the only thing that works for me and I'm doing it "clean" without sugars and sugar substitutes. I think the biggest problem for a lot of people (especially with the watermelon) is that it is so sugary it becomes a gateway to other things. For a lot of us, eliminating the sugar eliminates the craving. All the "diet food" did me in last time because of the artificial sweeteners. But whether its sugar, processed sugar or artificial sweeteners - at least for me -- they all act the same way on my brain. I cut it all out, cut out the coffee creamer, cut out diet soda and I stick to basic foods: eggs, cheese, beef, chicken, steamed broccoli and cauliflower and my two snacks: pistaccio nuts and a low carb chocolate protein shake at night and I am good to go. Down about 22 pounds over 3 weeks.

      Well....
That’s looking at it kind of one sided on a octagon shaped glass that’s half full 💁‍♂️
The macro difference between 100g Almonds and Watermelon speaks for itself
      100g Almonds: 579 Calories, 21g protein, 49g fat and 21g carbs
      100g Watermelon: 30 calories, 0.1g fat, 7.6g carbs, 0.6g protein.
So when you look at it like that, it would take 1.9kg of watermelon to Equal the same amount of calories. And youd definitely be full, not just a little less hungry.
      2.9g fat
144.4g carbs (most coming from natural sugars, and 7g dietary fibre)
      11.6g protein

I’ve used watermelon to lose weight effectively. I started it in the summer when it’s plentiful in stores. I make watermelon lemonade. Simply cut watermelon into chunks deseed and place in blender. Add fresh squeezed lemon juice. Roughly one whole 1.5 inch wide whole round slice to 1/3 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice.
No sugar needed. I would drink a quart each morning for breakfast and have my only whole food meal once daily at early dinnertime. I was able to lose weight without feeling weak or excessively hungry. The soluble fiber helps to keep me feeling full and something in it helps keep my blood sugar from dropping while restricting calories. Goal of sustainable weight loss is no more than 1-2 pounds a week. This equates to 4 pounds a month. Most people can accomplish this. Losing more rapidly can lead to rebound weight gain. Goal is sustainable weight loss. So I was able to lose that extra #30 I had gained during my last pregnancy. I lost the excess #30 over the summer. I’ve managed to keep it off.

love the video but cucumbers are fruits, not vegetable because they grow from the flowers of the plant and hold the seeds. I really don’t get why people think it’s a veggie...

for me it really depends how it's cooked. If it's boiled I feel very full, but if it's fried, I could eat tons of it. idk how does this work

I am a little disturbed that the thumbnail has the watermelon rind in the stomach. I guess that would be filling but c'mon...

That's called an icon. So that you know it's watermelon. Should he make the thumbnail show the compressed, masticated paste that is really there?

It could've been a pickled watermelon maybe?

I eat pickles of green chili at lunch
And I noticed that after that I eat a lot less
I lost about 5 kg in a month and I did not feel hungry
At the same time make sure to eat satisfying and nutritious food with lots of vegetables
And fibers. A breakfast that includes whole meal bread and eggs is critical to satiety
    Until 14:00

Watermelon is sugar water with little insoluble pulp material. The water passes through the stomach quickly and into the bathroom.
Eat more protein. Grains pretty much all accept water in a 1:4 ratio. Fried eggs require fat to not stick to the pan, and soak it up like bread or grain if scrambled.

Tramontina professional pan made of stainless steel. I don't want to be extremely careful with storing and washing a non-stick, and unable to use a spoon on it.
