I have not seen this and did not know about this issue until today that sucks man! I have not checked you out in some time that tank is so nice! I don’t make vids anymore but I am still running my tanks fresh and salt. You have such a nice bunch of corals in this tank I like it! We are also running a tank at my work almost 300 gallon full Neptune system it is starting to look real cool now also. I hope I never have to deal with this issue good luck with this brother!
I recently lost a torch colony to BJD, literally overnight. I can't say why but I've lost two torches to BJD now, shortly after placing them next to a different torch. I wonder if there's the possibility that the microbiomes are incompatible, i.e. a bacteria that's fine on one torch is a pathogen or causes stress on another...
I'm having the same problem in my DT at the moment. I've lost 4 Euphylia colonies because of it. There is a really good thread on r2r about treating Euphylia with BJD.
does the gorgonian at 6:45 have any specific name? can't find it in the stores and i want this particular gorgonian. Also can you tell the flow-light requirements for this guy?
So sorry to hear, this is my biggest fear and keeping me from really keeping more expensive euphyllia like adding more Gold Torches! That said though, there are some amazing looking soft corals, so that's not a bad thing. 😎
your pepermeant shrimp could have somthing to do with it. when u were taking the head out it looks like one was on the other colony. i had pepermeant shrimp that wiped out all my euphilia.
Whats the name of the second gorgonian you moved please. Ive given up keeping hammers now one of my favourite corals but they do well for round a year and half then they just die. Frogspawn is doing very well tho bit worried bout moving it to my new tank just incase
Great aquarium! Buy to many 💩💩💩💩 that really don’t need!! Plus you’re moving to many thing all the time! Consistency and stability is the key for success in aquarium!
Maybe you should try a TSA tank series where you do exactly what they recommend from start to finish. I'd watch that. WWC already did their hybrid but TSA is boss and I'd love to see that.
If all your other corals are happy and I had the extra money “ I don’t lol” I’d just add a spot light pointing at the acro frags. Maybe a kessil or a prime. Takes the risk out of burning your softer corals
I think in Asia there were tanks that do that, shinning spotlights at each individual acro colonies... although I am not sure if it's for growth or display coloration (maybe both?). Good idea , although I don't have that kind of money! 😂 (I do have enough for a light bar running through the back though, that should help a little!)
Yea a light bar across the back would probably be great, but I’d only add it if you those corals look like they need more light. Par readings can be deceptive with led lights
I was using Phosphat-E and thought I read that somewhere... and stopped using it. Is that the type of products you meant? I am running a CO2 Scrubber (NOT re-circulating), I wonder if that'd had any impact.
Hey inappropriate reefer! Dude, i want to buy a majano wand zapper but i cannot find any info online. Im asking that because i saw it on your videos where you got it from because MarineDepot is gone and BRS dont stock it
Sorry man, there have been a few suggestions in terms of battling BJD, like treating the tank with Witch Hazel. If you still got more corals in the tank and still battling, may be worth a look..
Ima consistent subscribers to your channel with a request. Is it possible to number your new You Tube posts? You have several corals I'm trying to keep track of that could/would be possible future purchases. I'd like to track growth rate, survivability, treatments etc. Thank you for your consideration. I enjoy your channel as a educational tool.
I don't think brown jelly is near as bad as people make it out to be. It seems like all of my hammers and torches have it regularly and they never die. They shrink, expel brown jelly and then go back to normal. I don't even suck out the brown jelly and they continue to grown and split just fine.
I haven’t seen this tank in over a year I’m glad to how far it’s came and what it’s looking like
When my Goni got brown jelly I widened out the dead tissue and then used seachem reef rx to dip it. It worked great
I love that you put the par meter part in. It really helps others to know what is working for you! Keep up the awesome videos!

love the endings everytime man you lucky guy
The BRS customer service team is great at their job and would be willing to help you with your issues. Just give them a call!
Bro I appreciate you shareing your videos
Great video, and love the new frag racks 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
❤ the Acros 😀
I am very curious as to where you acquired that single plug frag rack that you green torch is on.
Can we have a video of the tank in the blue actinic lights? Love to see how it all pops!
It's likely the torch's sweeper tentacles stung it. The lepto is on the opposite side
I was going to say the torch is causing it

Absolutely great video! Exactly what I thought about par very low. Definitely need a big bump up.
Hope the AliE bar will help!

New music, nice ;)
Hi did the brown jelly come back ?
Who did you buy those rocks from? Directly from the guy that makes them?
Hilarious dropping magnet hahahaha the best
may i ask what is the settings of your light in 10g tank the spectra m029?
hello how much do I get a green sarcophyton like the one you have!
does the gorgonian at 6:45 have any specific name? can't find it in the stores and i want this particular gorgonian. Also can you tell the flow-light requirements for this guy?
the 65$ part ahahahahahahahahahahahah
The disease bothered me so many years, so now I only keep the soft corals in my tank.
So sorry to hear, this is my biggest fear and keeping me from really keeping more expensive euphyllia like adding more Gold Torches! That said though, there are some amazing looking soft corals, so that's not a bad thing. 😎
Where you get the yellow long gloves my Asian brutha
I did a water change and my torch coral started to stress and spit out some brown stuff. I was ultra scared! Turns out its just pooping :)

Sorry I am not sure of that particular one (you're talking about the fluffy one that's popular in my reef club right?)
@@InappropriateReefer yep the fluffy one
@Inapropriate Reefer The language you use, are you a nurse or doctor?
That happened to me this week….brown jelly lost 3 torch corals not cheap
Sorry man 😢
Bro.... ask emily dont share the camera.... i am going to faint. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Do you have any of the gorgonian left i am local
I learned the hard way that when a torch gets Brown jelly i just throw the head out.

Emily(?) laughing at you is priceless!
If you are using phosphate remover I would stop if you get clams again. It kills my clams every time. Use gfo instead.

@@InappropriateReefer thank you!
I have been fighting brown jelly over the last few months. I’ve lost multiple hammers and torches. Really sucks.

@@InappropriateReefer I’ll look into that. Thanks for the tip!
Can you link your rock grabber? I love it and need one just like it.
and the gloves plz
Of course: amzn.to/3ijcy5a (although there is shipping cost from Amazon, may want to check other Aquarium stores to compare price after shipping)
@@Alecsreef Gloves: amzn.to/3jgwuVz (Amazing gloves, love mine; just do not get water into the gloves... then it'd stink)
what’s the name of the ost used while syphoning the brown jelly?
ES_Keel - Edward Karl Hanson.mp3
I’ll grab the gorgonion and grandis we can meet up wherever you would like just let me know the price
Does Emily know that the cameraman usually should be quiet? ;P
Brown jelly because low circulation
And this should be a lesson to us all with regard to dealers who sell torches at $1k a head. Don’t do it.
