- In today's video we are continuing our Tank Tour Series with a well over due tour of an immaculate reef system! Art's tank is the first tank we are seeing in our trip to Southern California, and this was the perfect reef tank to kick us off; whether it be the amazing SPS or the field of Jawbreaker Mushrooms this tank has it all!

Great Video! Amazing Tank! Incredible Reefer. I've known Art for many many years, and as a reefer he is true asset to the hobby. He is always playing with cutting edge techiques while at the same time keeping to the basics. And his generosity is over the top. There are so many people in the So Cal area that Art has given those Jaw Breakers to (as well as so many other things he has had success with). And as you can see from the video, he is a "cool cat". He is always that low key and easy going. The tank is stunning. Overr the years I've seen the ebb and flow of his success, and even when he feels the tank is having a rough phase, the majority of hobbyists dream of having a mere piece of such a spectacular failure.

Beautiful Aquarium and thanks for sharing this. I Saw Arts aquarium some years back as he was giving away and AIO aquarium and I added it to my system. This was a nice aquarium, and he has a beautiful home.

Incredible aquarium, enormous corals and incredible fish i’ve never seen before, could you name the three angel fish?? Are not common👍
There are 4 in the tank: Interruptus Angel (Centropyge Interruptus), Goldflake Angel (Apolemichthys xanthopunctatus), Conspicuous Angel (Chaetodontoplus conspicillatus) and Regal Angel (Pygoplites diacanthus)

I personally love the whiter spectrum. To be particular, like a Caribbean clear/blue spectrum. Not sure exactly how to explain it. I do end the light cycle in "gucci" mode for about an hour before lights off.
I am a fan of a similar schedule for my own personal tank! That whiter spectrum really showcases the fish so well! Thanks for dropping a comment!

I am a brand new reefer and love the lighting you did in your tank. I have a 5 ft long by 30 inch deep by 24 high tank that is just getting to the end of the nitrogen cycle. Can you make a recommendation for me for lighting so my tank looks the same? I have not purchased any lighting yet...Thanks in advance!!
Sooo many choices!! Do you want to keep SPS? That will determine how many fixtures you will need. For the spectrum, honestly, most of the fixtures on the market will produce the spectrum I have. I went with Ecotech Radion xr30 g6 and g5 and I love the build quality and customer service I’ve gotten, but you could spend much less and get the same result with other fixtures. Look into the Reefi Uno 2.1s.

Do you use a calcium reactor
i have one but took it offline about 2 years ago in an effort to raise the pH. currently I'm dosing kalk slurry and hi pH 3 part. I am thinking about bringing it back online though and keeping the kalk slurry for night time dosing only. The calcium reactor is such a cheap and easy way to add the major elements
How did the anemone kill every fish?
It got puréed in the closed loop pumps. It was a large magnifica. Actually, the two clownfish survived.
