Cuasimodo in Colina, Chile

For more than 175 years, Catholics in Chile’s Central Valley have gathered on the first Sunday after Easter to accompany the Eucharist in a vibrant horseback cavalcade known as Cuasimodo. Colina's Cuasimodo organizers claim theirs is the largest in Chile. In 2023, some 2,500 cuasimodistas traveled on horseback to accompany the horse-drawn carriage bringing Communion to nearly 100 homebound people.
