    homemade bread crumbs recipe | panko breadcrumbs | breadcrumbs with rusk, cornflakes & noodles with detailed photo and video recipe. an easy and simple way to prepare a basic and essential breadcrumbs recipe made with bread slices, noodles, rusk & corb flakes. it is an important ingredient for most deep-frying snacks which not only helps to shape it but also makes it crisp. in this post, i have shown 4 ways to prepare basic breadcrumbs which can be used for almost any deep frying snack but i would give my preference too.

    I always tried rusk only.small clarification mam, cornflakes and maggi crumbs take extra oil.

    Toasting the bread first and then making powder is more easy than first grinding and then roasting..I guess

      Toasting the bread and then blending them is much easier and saves time . I follow this technique every time I make bread crumbs at home

    I've used corn crumbs and found it to be more tasteful and crunchy. Maggi crumbs is a great idea though!

    Amazingly easy and these ingredients are readily available. However please share options for storing longer period. Is fridge or freezer storing better than the usual kitchen shelf.

    I have once blended poha as crumbs for my patties.... It had come out well.... I thought it makes for a healthy alternative... Btw, love your recipes....

    Can we use cornflakes which we use to have for breakfast (Kellogg's or some brand??) And I tried using rusk that's the easiest eagerly waiting for ur upcoming recipes and also u pls rewrite the old recipes...thank u so much ❤🙏🌹🌹

    For the bread.....I would use more of an artisan (style) bread, but cut off crust...not American white bread.And if going Italiano, add some sun dried (softened) tomatoes and real grated parma. Good tip on the pan toasting. Needs to be dehydrated. But just another random viewer's opinion.

    I hate using bread crumbs as most of the crumbs comes out into oil.. All the oil get ruined and even cutlets absorbs a lot of oil .These alternatives are really useful.. Personally I suggest to use crushed oats which does well 😉

      That sounds like you aren’t dredging the meat in flour before frying. The fluids from the meat seep out while cooking, which causes the breading to fall off. If you dust the meat with flour before dipping in the egg/milk mix, the flour will absorb the meat juices and the outer breadcrumbs won’t fall off
      I doubt switching to a breadcrumb alternative will help, since it’s really the meat juices that are the problem

    One question, how can we store pattie and cutles etc in freezer, so that if can make it and keep and use whenever needed. I am a working mom, so if I am able to make such pattie and cutles at night I can freeze it for morning use. Kindly advise if you know 🙏

      Keep it in an airtight container after coating with crumbs.. if you're making at night nd it's for the next morning, you can keep in the refrigerator only.. nd if its for later use, keep it in freezer.. nd take it out 10 mins prior.. Hope you understood.. have a great day ma'am!
