STL hometown girl here lol. I marked my calendar for the C&C grand opening! We really need a local needlework store. Excited for it because our closest is Branson and that's pretty far! I had to smile at your little boy's needlework mishap. Definitely save that piece as is, it will be a treasure. Those memories become golden when they grow up ❤.

I don’t know if it’s just me or what but they seem to be getting worse along with the climate I guess who knows I really don’t know what I’m talking about. Hello Mrs Jones - I am new to your channel and what a whak of ideas for finishing. I never thought of cutting up a long piece into sections. I will certainly think about that next time I do something like this.
Hoping to make a trip to St. Louis too! You look beautiful in your floral shirt! I love your projects, floss and fabric choices….esp Itch to Stitch. Marlene who sat at our table in WPB told us to choose our finish and fabrics before we start and pick the floss to match which is exactly what you did. She owns a store in Canada. I hope it’s not too soon to say this (and you’re handling this much better than me), my kiddos love to snip straws. They are fun to cut. May head off a situation if he has some kid scissors and things to cut….although nothing is prettier than the floss you were using. He could put the straws on strings or a lollipop stick ( all good fine motor activities). I’m so sorry.
Good morning. I love your finishes. I was sad to hear about your cross stitch piece. I have made the mistake of not cutting my fabric incorrectly or worse started one with the fabric turn wrong. I am always concerned when my grandchildren come of them getting my scissors. Prayers for your family and the damage they sustained. I can not imagine.

Enjoy having your MIL with you. We live with my MIL and it works well for us. I could never get into Maynia because I can have that many WIPs. I do better with a couple of projects.

Colour and Cotton just seems to have more vibrant colors with more variegation. It also has 8 yards on a skein instead of 5.
