Ran to my Pinterest board on costumes when you asked the question, rather than get ready for work. Lol. One year i had my mom make "little devil" costume for my boys (22 months apart) red cape with jagged edge, little hood with horns, all black clothes. The Great thing about that was they were bright red so easily spotted (and since they matched, when we went to a big event, I could keep my eyes on them more easily) Cowboys are always fun (and easy) hat, vest, jeans, bandana, hobby horse, fake mustache (if he lets you). Cute family costume - inner tube that looks like a donut for him and bakers costume for you and hubby. Have fun! Miss those days!

Hi love your stitching and congratulations on your wins. My son dressed as Mario when he was little, all I did was get overalls, a mustache and a Mario hat and we entered him in a contest and he won first place. He looked so cute, he was in kindergarten, one year he also was Harry Potter and he won again two years in a row. Have fun and have a great day.😊

When my son was 4 years old, I sewed a dinosaur costume from either Simplicity or McCall's pattern. Not only did he wear it for Halloween, he wore it for playtime fun. The year my daughter was 3, I made a large (over the head) elephant mask out of felt. She wore gray sweats with that. Perfect for cool Illinois weather. Again the mask was from a commercial pattern. My sewing skills are advanced beginner & I thought both of these projects were simple.

A couple years ago my little nephew was a pilot and my sister made a cardboard box airplane to fit over his red wagon! It was sooo cute and also, as an added bonus, he could hitch a ride whenever his little legs got tired! I'm trying to talk my youngest daughter into being a gingerbread (wo)man, haha. So far no takers! But I saw those big lollipops and other candy themed Christmas decorations they have at Hobby Lobby in the Christmas section and thought they'd be too perfect for a costume.

We don't "do" Halloween at our house hut when my boys were little we went to the harvest party at church with the three of them as firefighters...all wearing their dad's helmets. How about a pumpkin costume? Not sure how you would stuff it but he might like it as it is not scary! Your Every Opening Flower is soooo gorgeous!!! The deep reds in the flowers just pop on your linen fabric. And every time you show another pattern using Colour and Cotton threads, I am just loving what I see. I’m stitching with those threads for the first time using A Stitcher’s Garden pattern which I believe you used too? It is a great thread with lovely variegation😊 Loved your Remember Me pillows for your friend at church❤️ Congratulations on your new job and I hope you enjoy it from day one!

I love your previous finishes, you always do such a great job with them. I can't believe how close you are on At Home. It's gorgeous. I have a hard time with boy costumes, I only have a little girl. She was a cute spider a couple of years ago. I do think a scarecrow would be cute, I've seen that mentioned. My 5-year old wants to be a ghost this year so we're kind of doing a ghoul, and she loves it but says it's kind of creepy every time she sees the picture. I hope it goes well.
