One of these Onieda bow will be my next bow. I've been shooting the same bow 12 years, time for a new one. I have always done all my own work on bows been making strings 25 plus years. When you do your own tuning and set up you get to know your equipment. When I put the silencers on the string I split the thing and slide the material through the string and then tie it in. I take scissors pull the rubber jig material and cut it makes a nice ball on the string. I like the double knock point kisser button and eliminate buttons shot that set for years. Get out the eyecrometer when setting up your bow I like it. Thanks for the videos.
Best part is Oneida doesn’t completely reset their bows every year. By the time you feel like you want another, they’ll just be coming out with what you need 😂
You’re talking powerstroke my man!!! I’ve been trying to get this discussion going. Some bows aren’t ‘fast’ but they can send a heavier arrow down range with more energy than a speed bow that’s built around a 350 grain arrow
Coming from shooting traditional ive been looking to get one of these oneida phoenix bows. My question is what is the best let off modules to have to be good at shooting with just fingers. Ive tried shooting just fingers with a compound and i couldnt get it down but with my recurve i did better at releasing because of no let off lol. Any info will help thanks.
Just ordered my Phoenix yesterday I’m in remote Alaska and not many around here to ask questions thank you for the video and all your help still looking at biscuit rests and a quiver online any suggestions on arrow grains and sights ? I imagine I’ll be pulling around 50# any advice would be appreciated .take care love the family and the Airedale.too cool.
Thanks buddy, go with the 340 gold tip hunter or warrior shaft with a 125 grain point, sights would be totally up to you, anything would work. My wife shoots the IQ bow sight and the whisker biscuit on her Phoenix short
I just got one of these delivered yesterday after watching your videos, 30-50 medium. What would you recommend for arrows? I left it at at the factory 40lb draw and I have a 29" draw. I got some fancy easton arrows that are 400, 10.2 grains per inch, 31 inches long, but they don't seem to fly well with 100g target tips. Any ideas to help with this?
Thank you Very much ! Do you leave the string on all time ? And does it stretch out ? Also, have you tried drop away rest - Viper trail ? Thank you - I have RPM Striker
Excellent. I am new to Onieda with a Phoenix on the way. Can you tell me what bow quivers can be used and what you use? I know you like to take a bunch of arrows; did you have to adapt the bow to make the quiver work? And which one do you use? Thanks

Man I would love to have a lefty bow like this or even a longer one. 1k+ is a bit out of my reach. I live in different times as I use a Hoyt xt2000 to this day.
Are those cheapie gold tip hunter arrows? At Lancaster? Really wanna use those. And do you have to hold on to your arrow on your rest when you draw back? I used to have to do that with my old American bow or arrow falls off track.
Yes goldtip and I get them wherever is the cheapest at the time Finger holds arrow on sometimes but don’t have to, gotta pull more with your middle and ring finger to keep the arrow on the rest during the draw
@@TRIBEDRAKE I have the old school muscle memory to hold and finesse arrow on the old style arrow rests. Had a flashback when I saw Fitzgerald doing the same in his old videos. I shoot split , bottom of nock point at 1/2” that puts the top of your nock at 3/8 , 3 under you may need to go a touch higher, shot a bare shaft and start at that setting and see what happens

I see that milwaukee knife! Mine has the replaceable blade. Absolutely love it. Especially the screwdriver on it

Goldtip 340’s with 125 grain points should do the trick
Wow! There still are normal humans. Glad to see it.
Just a few left

String up All year round
No stretching, made from 452x material

Hi, have you ever experimented a problem with power cable getting out from the hinge?
Nope , should never come out unless it out at one end of the hinge on the install

If I shoot 35 lbs recurve and 60 lbs on my compound, should I be getting the 30-50 lbs or 50-70 lbs for a Oneida Phoenix?
Get a 50-70
What quiver do you use on your Phoenix? Can’t seem to find anything but a 5 arrow quiver
It’s a Martin super quiver
They don’t make em anymore
They told me everyone wants 4 arrow quivers and they discontinued them, I thought that was bs
I like max 50 most likely 45 lbs w you go 30 to 50 lb limbs or 40 to 60 they can make. ok if maxed out at 50 or better not to max these out?
I maxed my wife’s 30-50 lb Phoenix out and it felt awesome, I’d definitely get a 30-50 if I was you
