Dustin your are the best !! Thanks to you I own an Osprey, Gnat and just bought an old lever bow off ebay. It's either a Tomcat or a Screaming eagle.
You introduced me to the LEVERBOW !! Thank you for your love of the sport and many hours of your personal time to share with the world. You ever get up to North Dakota, bring your boots and bow we will get them both slimed up !!

Everyone talks about these for fishing, but the SE is a darn good hunting bow, just get used to the length... its less things on these to screw up.

I'm about to fix a oneida eagle T-III that was given to me...needs string, rest, maybe a stabilizer I've got some vintage toxonic sights I might put on it...but I've binged watched a few videos...man you've been excellent...I'll probably end up selling because I've got a jacked up shoulder but from everything I've seen and heard about these bows is awesome...I hope I'm able to at least shoot a few times... won't know til I try...it's a 50-70 Medium...I cleaned a little rust off her but I've been told it's in excellent shape...we'll see. I'll have to come back and let you know how it goes... excellent channel man for the oneida bows.. I enjoy the classes...lol 👊😎

You can have the limbs shaved to lower weights if that means you can shoot it. Light oil all moving parts especially the hinges. Good luck 👍

Could the outdoor mentors do a video on changing the let off on a H500 or other older Oneida bows? I can't find a video anywhere.

      @TheOutdoorMentors  5 лет назад +1

unfortunately you can not change the let-off on most of the H-riser bows. Only Phantoms with a "I" cam or Tomkats with "K" cams can you change modules and change the valley and let-offs.

I recently bought an old oneida because I love shooting recurve but wanted that extra umph these have while having that smooth draw I prefer. Problem is, A) I'm not sure on model since no badges, stickers, or labels & B) draw length is too long for full draw. Next yr I plan on investing in a new model osprey, only started bowfishing last year, bought a pse kingfisher & love it. Would like to get this old Oneida set up still, just not sure where to get shorter outboards to shorten draw. Not sure on not shooting full draw, hate to ruin it right off the bat lol.

Is there any way to adjust the draw length on a screaming eagle

Someone had an oneida eagle on craigslist at a garage sale.
I knew I should have driven out but it was 30 minutes away.
I texted him but he didn't get back to me after 5 hours.
He sold it for $100. 😭😭😭

Great video! I just bought a Phantom literally today at a flea market for $25, I've always been a fan but never could really afford one. Where is the best place to get information and parts for it? Thanks in advance.

    Hi!
In first my words I apologize for my English, I learning myself a few years! :)
I found your channel on YT and I noticed, you have similar bows like my and you know what you talking about. :)
So, couple weeks ago I bought old Oneida bow on ebay, the seller affirm it is Oneida H500.
String on that bow is to long to me (I'm 6 foot tall man and I have 29 inch draw lenght on my hoyt 3G carbon element and hoyt ignite ).
This Oneida has 30 inch, but I don't now how may I shorten this string on 29 inch, because scope is 29-30 inch.
I looking for modules like on new oneida, but I don't see anything that reminds me of the modules , mayby that bow don't has modules on cams, maybe is diferent way to shorten string, I don't know, I don't find in internet how to shorten string on that bow.
This bow is first Onaida in my life, and in my country is "few" people who have that bow and I don't know them, unfortunately!
And only one more question, how many turns per bolt I need to make to reduce the bow force / draw waight from 70 to 50 pounds.
As Bugs Bunny said, that's all Folks!
I hope you will read my message and help me with my problem, greetings

I had a buddy from work sale me his old aero force x80 i worked with him for years and he recently passed away RIP. But the bow needs a little work and a good tuning can i send it to you to get it back in good shooting condition. I shoot instinctive no sights i figured you would be the one to ask.
    Thanks,

Maybe you can help me out. I just picked up a eagle phantom with no string. Can't find a string size on the bow. Sticker was removed. Was wondering if you could tell me what length I need and what is the best string to get. With no string the bow is 50 1/2" from tip to tip.

I need short K cams for my bow I got a Med Aeroforce its as short as it can go and its way to long

They have not made parts for those for 20yrs. You might find some but you will have to re cable it as well. It will be much easier to find a short and sell your medium.

Not as annoying as my shirt. Lol I worked 12hrs today and I still got a video uploaded today. It is a poor quality and quite embarrassing but there's no such thing as bad video only bad content. There is good advice here if you can find it in your heart to overlook the rushed 1 take video before I left for work. Keep in mind this is the 25th consecutive day with a upload. They cant all be gold but I'll try harder.
