I think it's hard for an american to understand how much French culture there is in this movie. A lot of time you seemed shocked by the dialogues but there is no flaming or moking him. He's just being himself; a street guy talking to a rich man.

Pick a cold night and let these gems warm your heart. As with all recommendations, check these with a trusted friend.
There is no puritanism in France, thankfully. So, sex jokes, being direct with women, cannabis, and Hitler jokes are just fine. This actually allows more freedom in speech, especially in media like cinema. This freedom is threatened these days, though.

I can't forget the story and what it deals with because the acting was top notch, the story was very well written (and the music/bgm is as excellent as the rest). It's one of these rare movies for which I can't find any flaws. Sadly too few people talk about it or even know about it. It deserves to be known and talked about.
thank you Nia Maki , with the time the intricate power hidden in this film, on what is really important in life.
a feel good movie for sure, and lot more
thank you
Loved the movie, such a wholesome friendship between them!
I love this movie. I've watched this at least ten times. Greetings from Finland.
Encore merci. Thank you very much.
This movie deserve 9.0/10 on IMDb, super underrated
I am glad you watched this movie ,I am a French myself ,its a great movie😊
Omar Sy is really good in Netflix's Lupin series too
Love this movie! So glad you got to experience it. There is a Kevin Hart remake, but pails in comparison.
The upside was horrible, i don't understand why they can't dub the original for the people who hates subtitles.
So glad you did this movie, especially the French version which is my favorite, i just love this movie:)
it was an amazing movie!
The French version is the original version
This was the first movie i watched in 2014..i am T2 paraplegic since 2014...it helped me !
Thanks for reacting to this film, its an old favourite of mine :)
such a wonderful feel good movie!
the music in the movie is outstanding, the piano songs are by Ludovico einaudi.
the greatest French sentimental film
It is absolutely necessary to watch the filmography of the directors (Olivier Nakache and Éric Toledano)
The Specials, C'est la vie!
11:15 Frenchman here. No, not all of us smoke here. The gesture you did is a stereotype that doesn't match with reality, but I get that was the joke
I’m french and happy for this react! 😃
omg was a French Girl i'm so happy to see someone react to it
The paragliding flight was directed towards my home in Savoie France
Great reaction! I subscribed and I'm gonna watch your other stuff now ;)
Another great French movie: Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis. It's absolutely hilarious. I'm not French, but that's my fav mainland European movie. For the UK I really recommend the "Cornetto trilogy": Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead and The worlds end. I would start with Hot Fuzz :)
I love The Upside, the remake of this movie…unpopular opinion, apparently…but the original, man…I LOVE the original! Omar Sy is amazing.
Really love this movie!
Me too!!! All the feels in the end!
Excellent video, thanks from France 🙏
And great movie.
Probably one of the best French movies l have watched. Up there with "Brotherhood of the Wolf"
I love this movie so much
LOVE YOUR REACTIONS!
I watched this on Netflix some years ago. It’s a great foreign flick ✌️🔥
Best réaction you have beautiful soul and as we say in French «vous êtes rayonnante »!!! Thanks ! The real Philippe died the 1 June 2023 RIP😢 !
This is way better than the remake with Kevin Hart....
It's not about the pay, it's the humane connection!
Un film très émouvant.
This movie incredible popular in Russia
The real Philippe is dead last year 😢
11:12 Me, a Frenchman, lighting a cig as you said this. Yup, you got a point lmao.
ah, the movie every person in the world has to watch for french classes in school
I missed out on French class!
It's horrible to feel like a victim and thinking yourself as damaged goods. But this movie shows that things do get better if you get out of that mindset! I think of them on most of my days.
I came for Omar and found your cute lil self, awww girl ❤ great reaction. Followed on IG too. I'm a mixed girl, Black but sub the Japanese for white and indigenous. And i'm either infj or infp... Who knows...
The two directors of the movie did another with Omar Sy and the woman who interview him (the one with Dali's painting) on it years before, " Nos jours heureux " who takes place in a summer camp
Je regarde ce film chaque 6 mois , j’adore ! ❤
Pareil, l’un des films les plus touchants je l’adore 😍
