      Flip the guitar upside down so people can see what it looks like learning. Jesus. Flip the tabs too. You want to look down at it not like a crowd member.

      Honestly the first minute of the videos sums up music theory. It’s not supposed to be complicated but business is business. Truth really does set you free.

  • @TheOrigamiPeople

    This is an advancement on all other theory+example videos.The format with fretboard ,guitarist and close up of hands on fretboard is the big 3.

    • @doubled5383
      @doubled5383 9 месяцев назад +1

      Totally. The fretboard diagram is worth a ton. So much better than “ok, put your first finger on the 3rd fret of the b string, then put your fourth finger on the 6th fret etc”. This is so efficient and it immediately works for beginners who need to see the tabs, and advanced players who are just watching hands and using ears. Well done.

    Your user interface is the best I've seen over 20 years of looking for guitar tutorials. You not only animate the notes you're playing over the fretboard, you even put your hand on top semitransparent so we can see how dynamically your hand works over the fretboard. Simply fantastic!

      Yeah this is fucking great. I've been playing since I could hold a guitar, around 30 years now, and understanding exactly what I'm doing still eludes me. This really helps me visualize the neck in a way that opens up so many doors for improvising.

    • @Soviecik1
      @Soviecik1 Год назад

      @@sergedenovo2389I'll try to put it as i understand it. All of the folling concepts are in my view crucial to fully grasp the knowledge shared in the video:
      - Note names and their placement on fretboard,
      - intervals,
      - Scales, blues pentatonic, major, minor (look that the last E chord in the progression is not in the key and is relative to the actual key of the song - Em,
      - Scale degree names,
      - Triads,
      - Triads placement on fretboard (which is the point of this video).

    Nice to see someone have the same approach, and everything is clear.
    Idk why some people don't like the caged sys, but when you understand they don't consider this sys for the right task.
    The caged (maj and don't forget the min third) is the key for understanding and visualizing triads, penta scales then modes, for chords and embellishments, arpegios shapes, voice leading, transpositions, minor relatives, the ambitious side of the blues, and more...
    I wasted so much time without it during the 7-8 first years when I started guitar 25 years ago. And it's the most powerful knowledge tool for your compositions.
    Also your solos will be better when you consider there are some boxes and blocks beside each others interconnected, it allows you to understand an horizontal approach, a non linear way of doing a scale, find another box, use pieces of the same scale on different boxes...
