Beautiful work piece, I love it. Thanks for teaching it
That glue looks like PL400. Strong glue but doesn’t set that quickly so rope may move around as you wrap. Also that type of glue is quite messy so it will show on the exposed part of rope. Someone mentioned about occasionally screwing rope down ? I also agree that the bottom piece of plywood suddenly became thicker.
This is the best video thank you
Wow great idea its on my to make list.
Love it
Thank you.
For sure I will do it
Wow!!! Thats pretty easy and awesome!!!! Fan from Philippines ❤️🇵🇭
Muy bonitos prácticos y fáciles Dios los bendiga x compartir su arte
Omg ! Its sooo beautiful !! So boho chic !!
It really is!
Jesus! That's beautiful.😍❤
Super! That's what I want.
Enjoy!
I want to try and do this to an office chair to give a more boho vibe. Once I figure things out and find the right glue
what size is the rope and how long
This tire looks brand new, and expensive, to do a DIY ottoman.
What thickness of rope do you use. Is it jute rope? how much rope did you use? If you use about say 30 metres the cost is about £46 which is more than I would want to spend on a garden planter which is what I want to make. Any ideas?
how much rope is needed?
What thickness rope do you use, and what do you apply to the ottoman to protect it from outdoor weather?
What do you have to apply to the rope to protect it from rain
Forgot to mention that you screwed done certain points on the rope to the tyre
plllllllllllllllllzzz tell me which type of glue used?
How much rope is needed and where do you recommend to get the rope.
What size tyre is this, then how much rope will you need , this depends on the tyre size.
How many liquid nail are u using? 350g x 2?
How can I figure out how much rope I'm going to need? I mean what kind of calculation I must do?
It depends on the width of the rope used. A thin rope will be used up more than a thick one.
But I can give you a rough estimate (for the size of rope in the video).
Measure the radius of the tyre.
You will need enough rope for the top part (top surface area) + the side (circumference)
The rope in the video goes around the tyre about 20 times. (So, 20 times the circumference)
Now for the top surface. Now the thickness of the rope REALLY matters. But roughly she has used the same amount you used around the sides (yeah I know, not very calculative). So 40 X circumference.
Rope used 40 X 2 X Pi X Raduis
About 250 times the radius. (Again it depends on the rope)
2piR multiply by tire height in cm. Divide by rope diameter in cm
top: PiR^2 in cm divide by rope diameter in cm.
Add both top and side results together.
How much rope did you use? ❤️
Hi
Where can I get the plywood to buy
Is there something I can put on my ottoman to protect them from the weather?
I’m also interested in this question!
Where l can buy rope like yours
Looks nice but it's an expensive DIY even if using an old tire from your car.
Why change the size and thickness of the plywood underneath? I’m thinking the screws wouldn’t work for the legs or something? This DIY isn’t cheap right more with the price of a piece of plywood going through the roof!
is that wood glue?
Rose Musyoka liquid nails
So you changed the wooden disk on the bottom after "saving us some time" and you faked it up like nothing happened? You're not honest!
Yeah what the hell. That bottom disk is snaller than the top ehich is why herslooks so badass and your able to achieve that really great shape! Good eye!! T.v. magic tricks SUCK!
I don’t understand this comment what happened in the video?
I think better to buy a chair than to use a new tyres to make a seat
This comment really need to be noticed.....😂😂😂😂😂
Something isn't right. When she applied the two wooden disks on each side, they were the same size, same thickness on either side, close to the highest part of the tire.
After she 'saved us some time'. She turns around the footstool, and not only the diameter of the piece of wood is smaller, the wood has become alot thicker! :o
Seen that too. She's fake news crew
MnVdV2000 I just saw that, now why wouldn’t they tell us that!
MnVdV200
Thank you for your attentive skills, you have saved all a terrible mistake.x
She must’ve messed the other disc up lol
Where do I get a random tire from?
ANIMALFLYER456 scrap yard or a tip.
Jessica Packer we don't have really have tips in the uk, everything get recycled or burned, you're only allowed to drop off stuff not pick up
I got mine at the local tire place( old one of course) they will be happy to give you one.😊
How much rope do you use. I have a 15” tire.
Did anyone else cringe when those screws weren’t grabbing? Needs full thread to the head of the screw.
Shes using liquid nails right?
Construction adhesive
Circular shaped plywood isn't an easy find...
Home depot will cut it.
That's what I'm trying to figure out lol
But home depot endorses tr ump so I'll check lowes
Vincent Crawford they don’t make circular cuts at Home Depot but some Home Depot’s sell rounded plywood in different lengths (pine edged glued panel round board) that’s literally the description on their website... what a tongue twister 🤩
@@1NeoSoulChild you're gay
@@RRTr0jan ummm okay is that an insult
