I've been playing with it for a couple of days. I found it also works very well on "clean" bands pulling out very weak signals in conjunction with the preamp. Makes the difference between just about hearing some one in the noise to being clearly audible. The volume slider under spectrum scope helps a lot.
Also worthwhile for stronger stations, filtering out all the background noise it's like working D-star but your on SSB.
If you click on the far right of the spectrum scope you can reduce the latency but I think this reduces its effect. You can also go into the advanced settings of the usb audio codec and set it to mono with a lower sample rate. For SSB theres no point in a strero 48khz sample rate any way.

If RM noise could remove UK 50 Hz mains hum harmonic noise, from frequencies between 10 KHz down to 0 Hz, without removing the VLF ELF Sferics. That really will be a big game changer, for the tweeks and whistlers listener like me. Interesting video, this is certainly the way forward for removing unwanted noise.

thanks for the video ! i think it needs to be updated because you can now setup an "account" without the need to email the developer - Andy.

Great video. I have been using the not yet released 21-9-6 beta version with my Yaesu FTdx101MP with the newest version of Yaesu firmware that improved the DNR processing. RM-Noise stil beats the Yaesu as good as it is! The audio from RM-Noise is crisper and more enjoyable to listen. I do think it helps with extremely weak signals that are buried in the noise just like the Yaesu but with a clearer audio. Note as good as FT-8 pulling signals out of the noise but extremely good none the less for audio and CW. Nice thing is that you not need to upgrade a reasonably current ham radio that does not do digital processing since the RM-Noise does it for you, and likely better than what comes with most of the newer digital processing radios. I don't think that Randy is a Ham, I read that his father is. This is one product that does in fact seem like a game changer for not just Ham radio but other services as well.

I’ve been using RM Noise for about a month now. It is an amazing bit of tech and works better than any other NR I’ve ever used. The results are akin to AI noise removal for images.
There are two things however that really hamper the radio operator who uses RM noise. 1) it sometimes starts hiccuping/stuttering for no apparent reason (maybe network latency or server overload?).
    2) There is a constant delay between the real signal and the processed audio which makes it almost unusable for time-critical radio operation like contesting.
    Is it just me?

yep, it certainly is, annoyingly this technology has been around for years, just no one applied it to ham radio !

Hi Colin, yeah I was impressed once I finally got round to testing it :) easily as good as the Yaesu DNR maybe even better.

Wondering if it's possible to route the audio from the Yaesu SCU LAN software into the R M Noise removal software as I run a remote setup ?
