@@BrandenBlackford because the transmission in the trd is geared wrong compared to the older camry models 6 speed. The 6 speed transmission made older camrys have a better gear ratio while the trd 8 speed seems so have longer gear ratios which makes it slower. If the trd had the 6 speed transmission it will be way faster than the older camry models. But the older camrys still prove how fast they are.
@@BrandenBlackford Because of all of the space in the gearing, Toyota’s only claim to fame is that extra 30 horsepower boost that is only achieved while the engine is revved above 6,000 RPM. Considering it only revs that high for 3 separate split seconds on the way to 100MPH is what kills the car. Right about the time the V6 is starting to reel the competition in, it’s time to shift into another LONG gear which is what kills it and causes it to barely keep up with the 2007-2017 Camry V6 2GR
Turn traction off and get the car rolling ever so slightly you don’t want to mash the pedal but get a 1/2 tire rotation (prob like 3-4 mph) and then punch the gas
Now that’s how it suppose to run
Exactly, this is how Toyota should have tuned this transmission. That’s how it’s supposed to shift. 🔥🔥🔥
I just love bad- ass trd camry my friends. !!! 🥺😀😄😁🏆🏆🏆🥰🥰🥰
with that tune now its as fast as the 07 v6 camry lmao
You not wrong I own one TRD’s be scared of me😂
@@Blowin.Smoke801 🤣🤣🤣🤣
How would an additional like 30+ horsepower be slower? It went from 267ish to 301? Maybe a 100 pounds heavierish

5 seconds! nice man
Nice
Which octane was this filmed with? Is this the 91 octane tune?
How did you get the tires to not spin? I have a d3 tune with a CAI and in sport mode I spun like shit with traction control on 🤣

Yeah that's just up to your input, I have a stock XSE that spins tires if I just mash the pedal
Same as my es but after I put bigger tires on there there’s way less wheel spins
@@来我们-p7v what tires did you go with
Sounds like a J35 🔥
J35? Come on man. Not even close. J35 sounds like it will blow up. This one sounds just right.
The only thing done was d3???
Mods??
Now just give it the old 6 speed that the previous 20+ years of camrys had and that thing will rip
That transmission doesn’t like that at all judging by the way it pulls on itself.
It's a single clutch made for reliability not performance, it likes it, it just goes at its own pace.
Sure, it'll take some life off it over time. You'd have to be far more religious on ATF changes for sure.
Nice
