I'm a massive fan of Cosgrove Hall's The Wind in the Willows and I was born just under 10 years before it was first broadcast so thank you so much for uploading the continuinity leading up to it 😊

I think these contractuals existed because if somebody was under contract elsewhere then they were contract and couldn't appear in anything else anywhere, even a repeat unless their show was advertised. I seem to remember it often at the end 'Allo 'Allo.

Why don't they do that "XX is currently appearing in Run For Your Wife at the Theatre Royal, Droitwich" any more...?

Oh well, you live & learn. As it happens, I don't really have too much of an opinion on either group really; I've just always thought it amusing to go from '21st Century Schizoid Man' to 'The Land of Make Believe'. A bit like thinking about Leiber & Stoller going from 'Framed' to 'Pearl's a Singer' - the mind boggles!

@Maundervision the best Crimson stuff had Richard Palmer-James in the Sinfield role anyway.

Swansea 0: no change there then. Roll that pudding! Original version of 'Tutti Frutti' on the K-Tel ad, too, which is a surprise (it tends to be rubbish re-cuts). Speaking of rubbish, which member of King Crimson did all the Bucks Fizz stuff?

@jonnyhaw I'm really not sure. I seem to recall reading somewhere that in the BBC Presentation dept they were known as "contractuals". Maybe the contracts the artists have with the theatres no longer have that bit in...for whatever reason. Shame, anyway, quite miss those announcements.

@RobinCarmody Cheers - good to put a name to the blame!

"The Land of Make Believe" was intended as an anti-Thatcher song, not that much of its audience would have got that.

@BillyIsATwat23 Yes, indeed it is that Disney Time, I just felt like calling it Sidney Time. I am a card, and no mistake.
And hello all you Creamguide people (or the ones who click on the links, anyway)!
