My favorite design of Raphael is the Soulcalibur V one. I think the hat makes him really cool, wich i think can be said to almost everyone ho gets a hat. Or an eyepach. Usually it makes everyone cooler
I got some more suggestions: since you did Kitana, I think logically you should do the other Mortal Kombat female assassins: Mileena, Jade, Skarlet and Tanya. Skarlet and Tanya haven’t been in that many games, so you could probably use both of them in one video
My favourite is and always be his 2nd in Sc2, it capture his warrior nature more than his noble one and also is perfect for a guy who has to defend himself costantly, afterall he is a tramp in 2 wanted by the French army for killing a noble (for selfdefence thou).
I’m surprised no one has asked for Tekken Yoshi yet! I’ll add him to the docket and let you know when that video’s out. I have quite a few episodes lined up, so it will be a bit of a wait, but hopefully worth it!

Raphael is a good addition to the Soul Calibur series, although I wish they didn’t go with the vampire angle in later games. Looks like Soul Calibur 6 might’ve dropped that for now. His 1P costume in 2 remains my favorite costume from him in the whole series. Great mixture of dark palettes mixed with red, and honestly I liked his voice actor from 2 more as well. Least favorite is tied between his 3P Costume in 2, his 1P costume in 5, and his 3P costume in 6. First example it just looks too aristocratic and comes off as goofy looking, especially with the little red bow holding his slightly longer hair. Second example I just don’t like that hat on him. Third example is pretty much the same criticisms you had of it
Well at least if there’s one thing the devs stayed consistent is that he’s handsome through out the series even during his vampire goth phase he was going through
Am I the only one who thinks that Rapheal’s player 2 costume in Soul Calibur 2 makes him look almost like Captain Phoebus from Disney’s Hunchback of Notre Dome due to his goatee?
I actually like the glasses on Raphael since it gives him this strong aristocrat aesthetic but I may be bias since SC6 is my first game into the series. I use to like the vampire look that he had in the previous games but later on I became more critical on the look. I felt the vampire look made him too villainous and bland to the most obvious way as possible like they keep implying that he is a vampire but never outright call him that. I felt they did not do much with him as a vampire and just use it as excuse to make him a villain. He becomes less of a French aristocrat to a typical vampire and makes his story less interesting to me. Also I find it confusing and a little weird that he goes after Soulcalibur in SC4 for some reason. I know he is seen as a villain but his SC2 and 6 story kinda makes him look like an anti-hero but maybe thats just me. I felt he should be anti-villain or anti-hero since his story is more interesting that way. I know some people want him as a vampire again but it's best if they either leave that idea behind or create a new character, who happens to be a vampire. The new timeline wants to do new stuff while expanding a few things in the series and it be bad to rehash the same stuff that is already been done. Sorry about that little rant. I just wanted to express that Raphael's progression from 2 to 5 was not good.
Thank you for the suggestion! I‘ll add him to the docket and let you know when that video’s out. I have quite a few episodes lined up, so it will be a bit of a wait, but hopefully worth it!

Actually, it does change his hair.
It gets a bit longer and better kept, and he even has a little red bow holding his hair together.
That’s right, I remember now! Good eye. That’s another reason why I didn’t like that costume, tbh
I can’t believe I missed that! I think my point stands, though
Yes you're right, that is why I like his 2nd a lot more, his hairs are massy.

Based on Vampire Hunter D I think.
@@seasonembrace3624 Actually i never played this game. I just love the uniform
My first Soul Calibur main. His Soul Calibur 3 was my favorite design.
SC 3 really made him look like the Evil Dark Lord, he was so intimidating

Thank you for the suggestions (and for your continued support)! It’s a good idea to lump some of the ninjas together
This is the third installment of Palette Swap Palooza! Every single Monday this month will be a new episode of Palette Swap. I hope you enjoy!
Raphael needs to fight Griffith the Soulcalibur Vs Berserk war must continue till we get an official crossover. Lloyd Irving for SC 7.

I never put my finger on why his sc2 1p never quite spoke to me. The lack of contrast is a great observation!
i always laugh at his scene at sc2 opening part
why
French having Napoleonic army in 1590 xDDD
waiting for Voldo and Yoshimitsu "Tekken" part :)

Some people theorize that the potion Azwel gave him in his Soul Chronicle will prevent him from becoming a vampire in the New Timeline
@@Silvershire hopefully that’s true, and hoping there will be a Soul Calibur 7 soon
@@Unknown-us6xh will need a new director though since the Tekken 7 and Soul 6 director left Namco

That’s fair. I did enjoy seeing his return to anti-heroism in SCVI
I see him as an antihero in 2 and 6 as well.
Jann lee from DOA 😊
