-EVERYTHING is unsafe
-every so often the AI has to get a perfect, sometimes in streaks just to demand you
-hellsweeps are useless
-so are mixups and zoning
-Namco hates you

But as the video in the end reflects, the AI is prone to fall victim to optional follow ups to meaty hits since they will try to hit you right after blocking. This is especially true if the follow up is a meaty low.
Thats like all fighting games ever, maybe in the 8th gen games its not so bad, but usually "hard" just means input reading.
oh and lets also throw in:
-blocking almost everything you throw at them
-throwing you when you try and block
-guardbreaking when you block as well
Still ten times better than SoulCalibur VI.
Sure looks fun having the computer perfectly block almost every single one of your attacks

Siegfried had the best voice actor in III. Crispin Freeman's voice fits the character so well
I agree, though I did like the voicework for Siegfried in SCV. In SC3 he sounds truly tormented by what he did as Nightmare, and some of his lines such as 'Time to die!' are quite uncharacteristic of the Siegfried we know in later games. SC3 was the most complex Siegfried's character ever was, shame he turned into a posterboy paladin instead of dark warrior.
I definitely agree, but I think Roger Craig Smith did a fine job in Soul Calibur IV as well. It's not perfect though. I think as you said, Freeman did the better job. His performance has an emotional heaviness that really translates well to Seigfried's brooding character. That said, I still think Roger Craig Smith's performance was genuine, impactful, and fitting. It's just missing that extra something that Freeman's performance has.
Well he did do the voice another tormented character Regal from Tales of Symphonia before this.
2 and 3 had the best nightmare voice.

I hated fighting that stupid statue and no matter what you lose, either from how strong it was or even when it falls on you after it lose!
I used kilik 4 this mission cuz of his range and it went gud till i beat the statue and it just fell so i turned off the system after that.

This is how I beat Colossus as a kid: Nightmare, True Soul Edge, lots of side-walking.
One of the hardest missions in the game, beaten by the classic cheesing of the A.I with Siegfried, who is consistently the A.I.'s worst nightmare in almost every game he's in.
Get it? Nightmare?
For those who dont know, Valkyrie (Cassandras Weapon) raises deffense and offense and regens health overtime. That weapon + a bs AI = massive amounts of yikes.
I miss this voice for Siegfried. Also anyone else hear him yell "yeet!" when he swings his sword?
I was hoping that the statue would fall on him just for the reaction. 😁
Now I want to see his runs on "Beloved" here. That was more difficult & painful to watch than the actual Boss Rage.
He could make a second Boss Rage out of it with how many times he failed XD

Input-reading, just impacts, broken weapons. Those are only a handful of reasons why that mission is hell on earth.
I see Max has been playing a lot of Soul Calibur 3. I still have my copy on my PlayStation 2 still thinking it's slightly better than 2. It has the best create a player options

KuroNoTenno No it doesn't. In SC when you do some attacks you extend your hurtbox during the animation. If a grab hitbox interacts with that hurtbox before your attack hits, you get grabbed, that's how the game works.
Colossus is the most UNIQUE boss in Soul Caliber and the ONLY 'GIANT' boss in Soul Caliber. I bet Tekken used THIS concept for a giant boss battle with AZAZEL from Tekken 6!

I remember this stream. MAX! remember the Beloved mission where you lost to Raph like, 70 times? it exists in SC6's Libra of Soul mode... kinda. if you head NW and do a side mission (while evil?) you should fight a Raph clone and a Mitsurugi clone. they both deal chip damage and have Input Reading Bullshit too.
Never understood the hate for this one.aside from no guest fighters this game had sooo much to it.

I stopped playing SCIII after trying to beat this guy for at least an hour when I was a kid. It was one of the first things I tried in the game and I didn't think to come back to it or try any other mode. Silly me being a big dumb idiot lmao

As Talim, I was so Raged & upset at Colossus in Endurance mode in this event and i attacked the cat either by rocking the chair or punching!
i was expecting him to get crushed in the end, because thats the gimmick. you stop paying attention and dont realized the match isnt over yet.

That mid-low combo exploits a weakness in their programming where that second attack lags enough to provoke them into punishing it, but it's fast enough to strike before they can hit you.

I remember in the easy difficulty and normal difficulty, sometimes the statue would fall over before the match begins or as it begins and getting an instant KO. This difficulty is ridiculous.

Looks like the statue was actually easier than its guardians. Side-stepping was totally the way to go!
Is there anything like this in SC6? I enjoy this type of content, along with special weapons and stages, more than the create a character stuff.
yeap theres a whole story mode for custom characters with all this stuff
Story of Libra acts like an rpg, with levels, weapon stats and a morality system that affects your story for replayability

My dad beat the statue and put away the controller. Something was suspicious when I began noticing the statue still moving.

You need to start grabbing the computer more, that's where you're getting wrecked at.

Nunchaku CAC has a cheese move that the computer cant fight. Even Nighterror falls to it. R1 over and over again I think it was, with a Piercing Nunchuk weapon. They sit only blocking and slowly die.
The Iron Sword has an even easier one with L2. Will block the first, but always get hit by the 2nd.
