Im always happy whenever clefs character is mentioned these days. Despite the stuff the author did, the clef character itself has always been one of my favorites .
I thought the point of that was basically saying he scheduled photos to send to troy and he was actually dead cause of the anomaly.

Volgun covered this a few months ago, which was disorientating at first, honestly. While his voice acting is world-class, especially when Troy cursed Clef, I always appreciate your format that adds your own conclusions and interpretations as well. It often feels like a conversation compared to Volgun's "Dr giving a lecture' style.
As a long-time listener but not really commenter, I might as well take this opportunity to say I really enjoy your work and the evolution of your presentation from when you started to now is amazing to watch, as I run through your playlists pretty often while I'm at work.
To be fair to Volgun sometimes he does give some amount of explanation at the end for SCPs he thinks are a bit too hard to digest the first time through. I do think it would be nice if he did a bit more of that for sure though. He IS a professor/trainer/teacher giving a lecture so just simply reading an article to students verbatim is kind of the literal minimum and adding some more to it would go a long way to make it feel more like a learning setting.
@@Pragabond Oh I'm subscribed to and am an avid consumer of both, to be sure. It's moments like these where the two make videos on the same subject/SCP that I can appreciate the differences more than ever.
Personally I hate the lecture style which is a shame because volgun covers alot more scps and has a great voice
@@mrraven7445 For me the lectures are worth it for the full performance of the audio/research logs; that's Volgun's bread and butter, in my opinion.

I always thought this article was too short for its own good.
I really loved this idea that some SCP is so overwhelming not even a foreign star entity of the Orthotans can screw with it.

This one captivates me in a really profound way, djkaktus is definitely one of my favorite authors. I really liked "This Thing a Quiet Madness Made" as well.
As soneome that has played poker for decades, I am blown away to findout the face cards, King, Queen, & Jack all have names. Trivia if ever spoken at a poker table would get the person laughed out of the room. _"Go play D&D nerd!"_
Cards are way older than poker. Originally they were more tarot than gaming and gambling.

Ah, first one of this series I'd heard before. This is a good one. Jumps into a story right at its end, gives just a snippet of what's happened, but it is still so immersive

Right on something to listen to while at work
On the dawn of the end of days, the many eyed titan of destruction descended from beyond to bring carnage and turmoil upon creation. I watched as it opened its many eyes as they wept and brought down bolts of blood, burning shards of ice, and storms of dead souls. I then watched as on the day when the final eye would open, four obsidian winged seraphim mothers arose from the earth and struck it down with their golden sickles, shattering the titan to the seven corners of the heavens. I then witnessed as the mothers traveled the world, their wings ripping the clouds and their feet warping the sunlight as they swam through the sky. Finally, I witnessed as all who gazed upon them were blessed by their boons, ascending as they were now that of angels in their own image who followed them to the ends of the earth… As I too now join them in the flock of their new obedient children.
This is ruining my sleep schedule- worth it

one of the only recent scp’s I read without any prompting, that stuck with me to such a degree that the moment TES started talking, I knew what was going on.
Favourite XK scenario by far I think, poignant, honest, terrifying, and unexplainable.

Thankfully, the SCP foundation has backup plans for backup plans times 50. In the general "canon" there are black sites that exist to outlive exactly these kind of scenarios.
Black sites that are capable of complete world restructuring events.
Sites burried so far down that the core of the planet is closer to then than the surface.
Sites that are literally disassociated from normal reality that once their door close, they could stay there for untold millennia without being any worse to wear.
There is also the Serpent library, which leads to many different worlds and potentially, universes. And the Serpent's Hand has already given permission to relocate folk during events such as this.
There are potentially sleeper ships in space in the solar system. Black site ships to ensure the ongoing ecistence of humanity in case of these kind of events. To head out of the system and find a new world to atl survive in.
But tbf, this researcher would not know about them. Hell, for many of the black sites even the O5s don't remember them anymore, to ensure the highest chance of these places' survival in case the O5 get... compromised.
For this poor researcher, this was the end of the world. For many SCP universes, this is merely a once-in-a-thousand year event that humanity, and by extension, the SCP Foundation will survive, if quite worse to war tbf.

This is one of my favorite stories.
It is 10 AM for me, a Saturday breakfast SCP...
I love how the girls wake up and become what the world prayed for, Dieties, but like Troy suggests; if the girls were scared and confused upon acending to godhood, what would new, terrified, Goddesses do? Secure their worship to maintain their existence, even if that turns everyone into mindless, limbless drones. They can NOT stop worshipping them upon any recognition of the Four Goddesses
And thats horrifying

I feel the only hope in this situation would be to find the ritual that they intended to use for SCP-3004, threw one of the floating followers in the ritual circle, and hope that it would remove the four sister's ability to be worshipped. And for safe measure they should just blow up the Earth with the Dead Hand SCP, that way none of the worshippers survive and the sisters will "starve"
And after that just throw 055 and 579 together and reset the timeline (and use SCP-711 to tell everyone not to tell anyone about the four sisters)

Good lord ... SCP Foundation agents sure are built different sometimes.
This whole thing was very well written, but I especially liked the end. You figure this will be one of those where humanity actually loses for real, or they go for the good ole scp-55 + scp-579 reset, but no, the ending is unique and bleak, but also somehow hopeful.
