I really love this take. "You're never getting out of here, he's a moron and he'll never figure it out" The concept of an ancient eldritch being, sealed away by, in their many eyes, the equivalent of a 2+2 math problem, and stuck there because they act like an impatient parent/bad teacher and absolutely cannot get down to their child's level to instruct them. And possibly throw some extreme learning difficulties into the allegory.
To me this has a particular Lovecraftian touch to it... The German voice speaks about the pixie as an entity belongoing to an eldritch race, inhabiting earth long before the dawn of men... So this creature bares a close resemblance to the great old ones or even the outer gods... Their ways of thinking are described as incomprehensible to humans and this proofs as the reason, why gazeem (I hope that's the way his name is spelled) was unable to fulfill what the entity demands in order to become a real boy... Because you can't finish a task which you even can't understand in the first place....
"What real boys do" - that last bit reminds me of a song by Austrian songwriter Ludwig Hirsch, in which there's the following lines (translated from German): I wanted to know, so I went down into the canalisation, to the darkness where there is no light. There, I saw a father teaching a boy how to kill.
With all that talk about real boys and the woodworker making stuff for an Eldrich Horror, I was a bit afraid on how the femake agent could have ended up. A coma is a pretty sweet alternative.

ok so i've been reading over the article and wracking my brain over it. I know what gizem was SUPPOSED to do was laid out in the article in teeny tiny pieces, but im still at a loss for whether my assessment is correct or not. i THINK, that Gizem is supposed to like.. 'wear' a human and use the entrails to summon the azure pixie, OR to be a woodcarver akin to his father and 'Make' her a body for her to use, a new puppet. However Gizem, like the real Pinocchio was not very studious and knows very little (since we see that he's either lied or is incapable of grasping certain concepts, having difficulty with time). I suppose he might also need to transfer his soul into a human body, but at this point Im grasping at straws at what he needs to do. i feel like the 'laying the entrails out in a spiderweb pattern' could be something akin to a summoning circle though
I think he’s supposed to take out his own heart and put it in a human corpse. Based on what the agent does to the wicker “copy” of him and her specifically pointing at the dead guard’s torso at the end. Gizem seems to have already tried “wearing” a corpse in one of the logs, or is implied to have.

This SCP is based off one of the older stories of Pinocchio that Disney did not have part in creating which should be obvious. But for those who don't know is Pinocchio actually had multiple different versions, so to say this was based off the original I'm not certain.
I'm sure there was a touch of the usual lovecraftian style, but just look up older versions of pinocchio and you see the connections. Even youtube channel Matthew Santoro brought up older versions of Pinocchio in children stories that were originally scary, and Pinocchio had multiple versions. And one version was similar to this Unstrung. I recognized it when I saw the video after reading Unstrung's file.
Unless you're counting unpublished drafts, there is a definitive "original version" of the story: _La storia di un burattino_ (originally serialised 1881-1883 and published as a single book in 1883). Pinocchio isn't one of those fairytales that was spread by word of mouth for centuries before being written down, like those collected by the Grimm brothers; it is an original story, by a single author, Carlo Collodi who, after he had translated some French fairytales Italian, was encouraged to write one himself.
