- after my last video and what a mess that was (lol) , i decided to get back into my comfort zone with some rhythm and groove! No better than some Stevie Wonder for that! I heard this song on a livestream that questlove was doing on Instagram and i loved it so i had to learn it! Also ive been doing so much rock lately i thought it would be nice to switch it up. What genre would you want to see me try out?
If you liked this cover and want to see more like it please let me know by either dropping a like or commenting what songs you'd like to see me do this with in the comments!

Wow!! When I was a 5 year old little boy on a early Saturday morning I remember waking up to my dad playing the old vinyl of Stevie. This one morning I wake up to him playing this song and he and my mom were dancing arm and arm to it both looking into each others eyes. That was over 60 years ago sadly both dad and mom are gone now and when I hear it I break down and cry of that one moment I witnessed first hand what true long lasting love is all about. If my dad had of lived 3 more weeks they would of have been married 60 years. After his death I knew it wasn’t going to be long before she was going to pass. 3 years later she did… Thanks for the reminder that they were both loved and are missed… 🙏🏾
Study all the “little things” that Jamerson does and you’ll nail it. You got the speed and the main notes down. It’s the nuance that makes it pop.
I loved the motown songs since a kid especially the bass lines. As i got older and started to study the bass masters i learned Jameson played his basslines with 1 finger he called The Hook. That blew me away and still does to this day.
Hell yeah ... one of the many great James Jamerson bass lines. Well done!
This is the Power of Funk ……. And it goes around the World……and in this Moment watching and hearing you with my headphones …….in Black Forest ( with Snow) Germany…….and some smoke in my room 😎……. 🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🤟🤟🕺🏽💃🏻🕺🏽💃🏻🕺🏽🕺🏽😉
F@cking WOW!!!!!! 🤩 it’s the accuracy for me!
Go on with new covers Ausha, you are great!!! 😎😎😎
Awesome bass line !! 👏👏
Yeah!!..you got it going on!!
Crisp!!! Go girl!!!
Gurl you killed that JJ baseline. ❤️🎶
Awesome job! One of the best bass lines ever. You did it justice
Alvin Barber that means a lot! But I’m no James jamerson so I just tried my best! Hahaha
I have always had the passion to play the bass just not the time. I had an old Ibanez bass. Thanks to you @Ausha my son now has the passion and time to learn. Thank you again!
That was a swinging bass number you did on Stevie's 1967 Motown Hit Released on Tamla Records(Motown Subsidiary)as Tamla 54151-Terrific Job
absolutely gorgeous
You’re absolutely amazing… also one on my fav Stevie Wonder songs … keep jammin 🤘🏾
Perfect execution!
What a great performance of this epic bassline which is hard to perform correctly ! Thank you for doing this ..... Made my day
Excellent as always!!! I think Sir Duke would be perfect for you. I know you could pull that off. You definitely have a lot of soul.
Fire 🔥🔥🔥🎸
Superb.
such beautiful playing.
💫
Nice!!!!!!!
You are beyond awesome, you are sublime!
Yes indeed. Do more.
You killed it
Boss!
Kick ass! You nailed it!
Cold
the great james jamerson, he played it using just one finger lol, you should get the book "Standing in the Shadows of Motown"
eljapel that’s what makes him a great! And I do! I went through parts of it briefly with an old bass pal that had a copy but it’s about time I get my own!
You should have more recognition
Love me some Stevie! Nice chops 👌🏽
clean and smooth as expected
Brian Jomansenstinesmith thank you!
This is the best version of this on YT - you have a great funky sense of timing and holding-back. Not rushing or pushing. That's the drummer's job! Oh yes - Subscribed and Liked. When I played in big theatre shows I loved to drum River Deep Mountain High. The bass part wasn't hugely difficult (our bass player said) but just good to play - can you do that one?
Hey great video! I would like to see you improvize and playing some jazz standartas, I think it will bw great (:
I was actually thinking about doing that but trying to spice up some modern pop/rap/r&b songs!
Oh yeah!!! You got the groove just right. On point. Can see from the head nods you know just where the groove is at.
You’re one bad cat 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
very good!
Cool tune well done miss Ausha.
Wow..You Nailed it ..!!!...I've been trying to learn this one myself....You just Really Helped me get it....Thank You So Much for This...
Great job!
Really nice feel.
nice!
Great playing!
What a fantastic cover of one of my favourite Motown songs. Seen a few of your other covers - YYZ, Tints, Hysteria, Roundabout. Seriously some of the tightest covers of those songs I’ve seen on here 👏
I might as well throw a cover suggestion - I don’t see many attempt Ian Dury & The Blockheads - Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick. Great melodic bassline that goes somewhat unnoticed.
it's 2:52 am and i literally just discovered you now and i instantly fell in love!
that was amazing! i love your other works especially the victor wooten challenge!
i'm a bassist myself. well, guitarist-turned-bassist
Thank you so much for the support!! I’ve taken a little social media break but my return is coming soon
Hi Ausha one song which immediately comes to mind is The Bodyguard by Steel Pulse. Very simple groove but it's all about the groove. There is very little cover of this song which I feel should be addressed if you're feeling it. Enjoy your work.
Peter Barratt I’ll check it out asap!
Ausha, hi there, could you play Master Blaster by Stevie Wonder please?
👍🏽😍👍🏽
Hola Ausha, llegando un poco tarde a ver tus vídeos pero siempre fiel a tu canal, tremenda energía y actitud la que tienes en tus vídeos, saludos como siempre, y sería interesante escucharte tocar Get on the floor.... Chao!!!!
Javo SS ¡Muchas gracias! ¡Esa canción sería genial! ¡No he hecho bofetadas en mucho tiempo!
Great playing! And cool that you’re tuning into Quest love’s stream... Stevie apparently called him on the phone while djing a few days ago ..???!! ✨ anyway maybe check out Date With the Rain -Eddie Kendricks
digs_orignl no way did he really??? I’m so sad I missed that!! Also I haven’t heard that song before I’ll give it a listen!
@@AushaMusic true story haha, nice, yeah enjoy!
YES this is one of my favorite tunes! Well done! Have you checked out Jacob Collier’s stuff? His newest Djesse Vol. 3 songs are very neat.
Ari Kaye Music of course I know Jacob collier! He’s the messiah of the jazz revival! I haven’t checked out his newest stuff tho!
Can you do Chic's Atlantic Records 1977 Disco Hit "Everybody Dance" with the Bernard Edwards Bassline?
Ciao Ausha, Italy loves you !!!!
Giovanni Lombardi Ciao! I’m honored to have a pal overseas!
@@AushaMusic friend and admirer: of your skill and your beauty !!!

Hey Ausha...I got a request that I think you can do it and do it right....listen to Marvelettes..My Baby Must Be A Magician...awesome bass line...awesome lyrics and arrangement !!....but that bass line is kinda hard for me to learn..don't know why..lol!!!...but I know you can do it!!!...................RSirius!
Magic fingers
Really nice, Ausha! 👏
I have a couple of requests: Can you do a Prince song, maybe Diamonds and Pearls or When Doves Cry? Bruno Mars - Calling all my Lovelies.
Kevin Plays Guitar I don’t know why I haven’t thought about doing a prince song!! He definitely deserves a tribute! And Bruno’s songs are always so fun to play
@@AushaMusic Yeah!🙂Especially his 4 year passing anniversary is coming up. I'm planning on doing a cover of him as well.
you're absolute beaUty, please play 'Flea Instagram Story Jam 4/15/20'
I want to do an Acapella version of this song but I need to read lyrics and find how to replace some lyrics as a female.
can you see the fret board
You are amazing. Please, pan out a little bit so fledgling bass players like myself can get a good view of your right hand.

Alright girl I wish you would buy me I need a good bassist play the right way you're just as complex you don't miss nothing I think Jameson would love you and I love that a woman could go out there and do it just as good as any man in fact probably better than money I play the bass myself I can play flea and all sorts of crazy stuff I start playing newer stuff I've worked my way back to yourself is that I'm working on his guitar parts right here right now so God bless you girl doing an amazing style w ease. But now if I play dat bass part I'm going to have a hard time trying to keep up with you LOL that's okay I'll just focus on a guitar thank you.
