I had my final exam of biology today. I wasn't prepared at all so I watched your videos yesterday and my exam went so well. I really wanna thank you. I don't know what I would have done without you. The way you explained every concept was incredible. They got stuck in my head. I will forever be thankful for youtubers like you who make such great efforts and explain better than those hours long class lectures in just few minutes. Thankyou very much. *Bows Down*

Wow, you just summarised a whole chapter in such a short space of time!!! Incredible how you pulled everything together. I think the biggest challenge with this chapter in resp is that lecturers don't make a good connection and everything seems disjointed. I love how you layered everything nicely into the 3 strata (from spirometry to flow-volume loops to the volume/time graph) such that it becomes apparent how obstruction and/or restriction translates across your strata of information.

I have watched numerous videos about obstructive and restrictive lung diseases just to make sense of the difference of these conditions but non really made the information stick. Your illustration and ability to synthesize the topic of lung volumes was the explanation I never knew I needed to make sense of all these! You are an amazing teacher! Thank you for this video!!!

I am not even a Medical student, I am a Software Engineer. I went to the pulmonologist today and they performed this test in which I was asked to take the breathe in as much as I can and then breathe out with full force for a few seconds (around 6 seconds). My doctor said you have allergy. I was curious to understand my "Pulmonary Function Test Report Results" and I found your video very useful!

Always really helpful Armando. I am a big fan!! Under obstructive you say that the ERV increases... If there is an obstruction, shouldn't the amount of air coming out of the lung be smaller? The VRE would then be decreased wouldn't it? I think the confusion may come from the fact that the RV is increased so much -- how can it happen if both the VRI and VRE are decreased one may ask? The decrease in VRE is greater than the decrease in VRI and the increase in total pulmonary volume takes place over time.
