Chaim's team is doing well. They criticized him but you are now seeing results of developing and not over-spending for older players.
Yeah but they still could use a few late 20s early 30 year olds with a few years of experience to round them out. Baseball is a marathon, let’s see how they play in October, if they make it that far. My guess is they won’t get past the first or second round, which may be cool to John Henry and casual fans but it wasn’t cool to him when he first bought the team, they wanted titles, and now Fenway and the Sox just feels like a cash cow they don’t wanna spend too much on. Just enough to keep people engaged. That’s what Chaim was brought in to do. That wasn’t the mission when he first bought the team, and frankly if I were him, I would be bored by now, too. He’s been to the mountain top 4 times, along with many other ALCS teams. This is when you cash in your chips, take the insane deal he’d get to sell Fenway and the Sox, and buy an nba team in Vegas or another soccer club or something. Get out of Boston and let another owner on who wants his own title.
you could start to make that argument...but you can also thank chaim for the errors, kike hernandez, and all the garbage of the last few years. he may have a few diamonds in his pocket, but overall, it was a disaster.
