Simple and very well explained the process of cooking. Being a mangalorean, I would always love to cook this, even at the age of 69 years. I have been following your postings regularly and this one would be on top of the list.
Cooked this curry and am happy to report it turned out amazing. Had some extra masala left so put it aside and used it to coat the inside of a dosa the way they do it in delhi to make a Mysore masala dosa...needless to say that too turned out amazing
Just listening to your step by step instructions , feels like personally cooking the dish, enjoying the aroma and feel of ingredients.l As a Mangalorean I have cooked fish umpteen times,, occassionally get to learn science of cooking .Fish curry's abode is clay pot & coconut shell spoon.
Wow & Wow & Wow !!! This is the same type of Manglorian Fish Curry Sir which I usually make being and East Indian from Mumbai and taught by My Very Good & Special Manglorian friend. Sir, this Manglorian Fish Curry out beats any other fish Curry made by any other community. I am honest to speak with regards to the same. Sir, I love cooking and have tried several recipes but this Manglorian Fish Curry tops it all. Sir, I salute you for your step by step demonstration and vividly portraying this Manglorian Fish Curry. I feel so blessed to partake in your culinary videos. I sincerely look forward to more such type of videos which will help me to enhance my cooking skills. Thank you Sir. You are so amazing. God Bless you & your family abundantly. Mrs. Thelma Pereira Mumbai.
It still pains me a lot that a channel of this quality still not crossed onr million subscribers.. way to go kripal amannaji we are warriors... My hearty wishes are always with you.
Kirpal bhai... The way eat and taste the food that is a quality... Any origin food you eat you just enjoy... Uss ko dekh ke hamaare muh Mai bhi paani aa jaata Hai... Khatey aap hai.. Taste hame aata hai.. Like we are eating
I loved that you made the fish curry using only 2.5 tablespoons of oil. Looks absolutely divine. Will definitely make my sister watch this video as she uses a ton of oil to cook. She feels that more oil means more taste.
Hello Sir , My favourite fish curry was Malvani Fish curry but when I tried this recipe my liking has changed, I feel no other fish curry can beat this one. It's simply yumicious . Thank you for such amazing recipe..
Waaaa it was delicious….. my dads not someone that likes to try new recipes.. but I made this today.. hez become a fan…. We are making it again in few days🤌🏽
I have fallowed exactly as you've explained, but as I originate from the Coorg, reduced tamarind a bit and added some kachampuli. Perfect recipe for fish. Loved it. I don't know how I finished two plates of rice. While eating I was watching your explanation again, as you said, I could able to taste each and every masala in my fish curry. Thank you for the lovely recipe.
Fish curry looked awsome whenever I come to Bangalore I eat in my sisters house her husband from mangalore miss seeing sridevi I married an iyemgar I can’t cook at home keep safe
Thanks to this yummy recipe, back home always used byadagi and short round chillies but this time it's Kashmiri and guntur which gave a dark red color to the gravy.. kept the gravy thick , it was really tasty with sea bass fish and goes well with red rice bhakri & pundi .
He also said herbaciousness, which isn't technically an English word, but 100% of English-speaking people will know what you mean. The word is like a mixture of Herbs and "spacious", which would indicate there is a nice space of herb flavour, and the 'ness' indicates that it has this attribute. You could say it makes it more "herby", but that would be less romantic and a less elegant way to describe it. We should seek the herbaciousness.
Thank you very much for demonstrating the mangalorean fish recipe. It reminded me , when I used to help my mom in kitchen. Now I stay far from my Mom...and your video helped me to cook alone. God bless.
I tried this yesterday.. And it was very nice... We are from Karwar.. we normally prepare our Karwar Konkani food... But this was slightly different... But really we all enjoyed the curry... ❤️
Your a life saver - thanks was looking for someone to post a genuine recipe- now for rava fish fry and butter garlic crabs please- love your channel and your passion for food
U don't have to chop the onions for a seasoning instead slice them... Don't make them brown... N u can add 2 green chillies as well... It takes the curry to another level .
I cooked this dish with sea bass and mackerel few times following your recipe. It was absolutely gorgeous. I did the tempering first and cooked the masala in it though.

You can easily get that last bit off the jar using that silicone spatula, it wipes out the blenders clean after grinding masalas. Thanks for the nice fish recipe. I will try with salmon because that's the only one we eat.
We add salt after adding fish. Otherwise some river fishes doesn't absorbe the salt. Add little salt while just boiling the masala and little after adding fish.

Can't agree more on that! And not just the word, but how Kripal Sir formulates a beautiful sentence and puts it together in food context!
True
What word did you learn? Vivacious?
Submerge.

Brown caramelized onion and shallots are flavor bombs!! Try if youy have not tried yet!
@@niwlarosejio⁹
Do brown the onions! This is called caramelisation and is a flavour bomb the final “seasoning”

We add salt after adding fish. Otherwise some river fishes doesn't absorbe the salt. Add little salt while just boiling the masala and little after adding fish.
Too gud recipe n so well explained gbu
Run the blender with a little water to get all the masala out after scooping it out with a spatula first.
Oma Sing was about to write this ... spatula is also good to get that masala out easily instead of a steel spoon
So nicely u explain I will try it thanks
