This amazing woman is one of the few sane people left in this world. Sort of tongue-in-cheek, but also serious. Why isn't she on MSNBC every single night? Oh yes....
She is very accurate in her analysis of subject matter she covered. All the more reason the mass media wouldn't want her to have access to any of their platforms to spread this perspective they've spent billions and billions of dollars to eliminate and control thoughts like that. She needs to be heard that much more tho. The irony isn't something acceptable.
Professor Cleaver has taught hundreds of students studying African American History and Law at Yale and Emory University. Trust she has spread her knowledge and critical thinking abilities widely. In addition, she travelled extensively and globally speaking to the curious and the learned. Plus, she has published in journals and edited and contributed to imprortant anthologies. If contemporary folk are ignorant and inarticulate some of the responsibility is theirs. She is right about the paucity of journalism but at the same time indiividuals have a responsibilty to increase their knowledge especially those who are concerned about social justice. Kathleen was and is certainly brilliant but she was not alone. There were thousands of young people like her in the 1960s, not only college students but high school students who started and joined grassroots movements, the members of SNCC, the BPP, the League of Revolutionary Black Workers, the Republic of New Africa, and so many. There is no irony; there is a lack of critical thinking, empathy for others, political will and self determination. Study! Read!! Get outside the silo, engage with people who do not look and think exactly alike.
Light skin, brown, darker skin...caucasian, Japanese, chinese , every culture can indeed have racism and segregation in the heart without a spoken word. We must pray for universal peace and unity
What a brilliant mind. Our society today has no idea how to even articulate the issues even though they know something is wrong.

What does that mean may I ask, tongue cheek?
They already have enough liars making blacks into victims.
Because the mainstream media is scared that she awaken the masses
Beautiful, intelligent, articulate, pertinent and on point right on sister I just love Kathleen Cleaver
