Jellis Vaes hi! Nice video of climbing! I have a few questions about Zugspitze. Witch way did you took? where was you start point? Witch month did you climbed? And is the helmets needed? Thank you very much! 😊
@@last_minute527 Hey Zoran, I attached in the description a link that describes routes. Have a look there mountainsforeverybody.com/climbing-zugspitze :)
Well done!! I remember doing a casual day walk up to what must have been just before the rope section.. we got past all the waterfalls and somewhere where there were sheep. How many hours from the climbing point?
Hi Jellis, Do you think we will require special equipments to climb this? If I have already done Herzogstand, do you think I can challenge myself with this? What should be the things we must take for this hike in our bagpacks?
Hi Harshita, Thank you! :) It's a fun mountain to climb. For Zugspitze it is recommended to have a helmet, harnass, via ferrata gear, trekking poles (will be useful on the glacier), and while not necessarily needed, on the glacier crampons might be useful as well. While Zugspitze is not the most insanely difficult mountain, it's definitely a step up compared to Herzogstand. There are some parts that are dangerous. Especially at the glacier where you could slip. (therefore crampons are good to have with you). If you don't have all this equipment, you can rent them at certain outdoor shops there. I would suggest reading the following article for some more info about routes and equipment: mountainsforeverybody.com/climbing-zugspitze And my last piece of advice, it never hurts to have a mountain guide with you for these kind of mountains. Especially when you are starting out. I've personal experience with the following website: www.explore-share.com/l/mountain-climbing-trips-zugspitze/ They have some great guides on there! Hope this helps Harshita! Let me know if you have any more questions. Alwaya happy to help out :)!
@@JellisVaes Many thanks Jellis for your detailed reply. May I also ask which route is more beginner friendly: Reintal route or Höllental route. I cannot afford a mountain guide given my just masters graduated status :D
Through the following website: www.explore-share.com/ You don't need mountaineering boots for the Zugspitze, but you certainly need good hiking boots :)

@@arlenturley8971 Hey, apologies for the terribly late response ( 1 year later...). With a mountain guide, yes you can.
