She used two packets of chocolate chips, and those look like the 6oz packages (because you can't really fit two 12oz packs into twelve cookies. At least not at that size.) So I think it's the normal 12oz or two cups of chocolate chips.

It seems only natural to measure with our curious array of appendages. I have only the six thumbs, so I have to measure feet with my foot (on the north leg).
did you do the cold egg? also ovens can vary by temperature a lot so be careful. some ovens can be a bit too hot and cause some baking events to dry out quickly.

i got 13 cookies
I used 125g dark chocolate to be melted and 350g chocolate chips but I would believe you can adjust the amount of chips to your liking.
i only used 75g of sugar all up, and about 250g of choc chips. turned out wonderfully.
"...mix by hand, theres no need to get the heavy machinery out". but she mixed the whole dough with the machine!! LOL. not hating, i love nigella!

swissm8 I dunno, she said half a kilo gram, which is 500g. I think that 100-200 grams is a more sensible amount. :-)
