  • We made our first visit to the Southern California Renaissance Pleasure Faire on Sunday, May 5, 2024 and were so glad we went! We weren’t sure if it would be worth it at about $45 per per ticket with fees for each adult plus $12 parking, but we thoroughly enjoyed a full day of spectacle and entertainment and left happy and exhausted! This year's faire goes through May 19, so there's still time to catch it.
There is so much to see and do! Check out the website before you go: renfair.com/socal/
Be sure to grab a schedule when you arrive so you can plan out your day. There are multiple stages with performances that take place throughout the day, plus lots of shopping stalls to browse, food and drinks to enjoy, games to play, and the people watching is beyond compare!
Don’t worry if you’re not in costume-we weren’t and no one cared. Some people even wore completely non-Renaissance costumes (we saw Power Rangers, Steampunk inspired wear, fairies, playing cards…come as you are or wear any old costume!)
We had no idea what to expect and we hope this video will provide an overview of just some of the things you can do at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire. It’s totally worth it and we had so much fun that we’re already planning another visit next year. It’s all outdoors so be sure to bring sunscreen and water and be prepared to do a lot of walking-it’s 20 acres of amazing things to explore!

Good evening Ellabelitta😎there are truly many things to do and see in California, that looked like fun, in Orange County numerous cities do things also, Orange has the street fair which is packed every year, Old World in Huntington Beach does Ocktober Fest, the boats in Balboa do the Christmas lights, I have always told my wife when she retires I would like to move to Northern Nevada which is still driving distance to Orange County, but of course she says we can’t because of the grandkids. Did Mr E say as you guys were leaving, hey babe Yamaava’ is right down the street🤔I was just wondering😉

Lol, John! You know us so well 😂 I had to put my foot down about not going to Yaamava’ because we left the Faire at about 7 on Sunday and I knew we wouldn’t get home until really late if we went to the casino. I expected this week would be nuts at work and it has been 🤪
Thank you so much for watching! This was new for us and so fun. There’s just no shortage of awesome things to do in SoCal!
