Yeah, growing up in Australia it was hard for me to find clothes in women’s sizes that fit properly because I was skinny and short. In Korea I can buy basically anything. Honestly I’m probably a US 2 as this woman says but I do wear an S in Korea. Most clothes are FREE SIZE though, which means they are slightly oversized on most people

Chinese clothes are a good fit if you are thin 5'5 and above . For some reasons Indian, Japanese,Korean, Vietnamese clothes are in the wrong sizing 😢

To anyone watching this: please don't be discouraged by this video. I'm a European girl living in South Korea and a lot of clothes here aren't even sold in sizes like XS, S, M, L etc. A lot of clothes actually come in "One Size" which might sound even worse right now, but let me tell you I'm usually a size S in Germany and most of the "One Size" clothing in Korea is way to big on me. It would easily fit a German size M or even L. And no, not all girls in Korea are super thin. There are people with various different body shapes, just like anywhere else in the world. However, Korean people tend to be a lot shorter than the average European, so I often have trouble finding pants that are long enough for my legs. That's all. So yeah, please don't be discouraged. Vanity sizing. I own jeans and shorts - even from the same store - in sizes 4, 6, and 8! Also it's the cheap way clothes are manufactured. They lay a bunch of fabric down in a pile and cut it all at the same time, and the blade naturally shifts as it cuts down through the layers. So the pieces on the top of the pile are the true size, and the pieces on the bottom end up a little bigger. But it's all labeled as the same size in the store.

It all the same in Japan. When you weight over 60 you need to use extra size. I'm 70kg and I need to use xxl pants and M to L size for top. I'm from Indonesia, when I buy pants usually 73 or xl, but xl in Japan and Korean brand just so tight around my thighs😅
Usually I am not so happy about being XS but I guess as soon as I am in Korea I will see how good it actually is for me. I feel bad tho for the people who are really excited to visit the country that they wanted to visit and of course, when you visit a country you probably want to buy stuff such as clothes… but when you don’t fit into any it will probably be extremely depressing 😢❤
Already know. My mom bought a cute jacket online from a website based in Asia, and I tried to warn her. She "listened" and bought a size up. I think she ordered it in XL. When the jacket came, only my sister ( who's a US medium) could fit it
This is why I will never go to Korea because I find the clothes super aesthetic and pretty, but because my bigger chest and wider hips I will never fit in these clothes even if I lose weight 😢
but I feel like their XS clothes are not as small as US 00 or 0. I buy clothes at H&M and their smallest sized clothes are sometimes too tight for me but Ive never experienced that at Korean clothing stores. Their smallest sized clothes are not super small. Most of the Korean clothing stores only have free size and its about the same size as US2.
If this comment was about women having small boobs and butt, people would raise a thousand voices. It's very very sad how nobody said anything for the men, moreover "all men"? So is society
I’m so confused about the size chart. It says a US size 4 is a size small in Korea. The US size 2 is an XS in Korea. Obviously I’ve never been there so I don’t know first hand. It’s just the size charts I’m finding.

@@thisnthat7760 oh my god NOO THAT'S INSANE 😭 SO many people visit SK these days, aren't they supposed to get a bit more progressive and start selling clothes that could fit everyone? 😭💀
a lot of asian country sizes are just extra small in every corner. i'm a relatively medium to large size in us but in my country, the outfit that matches me at the very least are those in xxl-xxxxl. the same goes for shoes. i can fit just fine in 39 or 40 in eu or us sizes but in my country it's 42 or 43.
Ya! Most Asian countries you can't return. I used to be a size 3 US and when I return in my country. I had to tried to Large. Uh! The store owner got mad at me that I had to try on so many things and even told us "You are too big" 🙉. Ha! It's a thing about physical look in Asia.
You can return because you regret buying it (before opening package), but if it doesn't suit your skin, makes you breakout, the colour doesn't match, etc, it's your loss. That's why there're a lot of samples to try before you buy 🤷🏻♀️.
Clothes are also made to fit Korean bodies, so things like sleeve lengths and inseams are much smaller! If you are a taller (or even average) height expect that you might not be able to find anything that covers your ankles or wrists 😂😂 unless it’s the largest in mens/unisex size
Same in most countries. Once you break that packaging, it's considered used. 😆 So I had a culture shock when I learned about the US return policy when I started working in a call center for a huge retail store account. I was like, 😲 really???? Won't the company suffer losses for unreasonable returns? But what do I know? 😆🤷🏻♀️
Tell me about it lol I literally once bought a summer shorts online off a Korean shopping site, I'm not very skinny but I fit into S sized clothes. So I thought of ordering S size but since it was really short for my height, I got an XL. THAT LITERALLY FIT LIKE THE *S* ONES THAT I USUALLY WEAR. I was traumatized for life about how their S would be 👁️👄👁️
This is why you shouldn't be so concerned over sizes in clothes. They are different in different places. Im about a s/m in most clothing stores, but when shopping in asian brands, im usually about a medium to large/XL
Idk about American sizing, but I'm a European size 36/s and i fit a korean s just fine 🤷🏼♀️ the only issue is length or occasiinally the boob area 😅 I'm 167 cm and finding pants long enough was always a struggle in Korea
I still remember that sales lady measuring me in the subway at her shop for a skirt and she said I was an XL and at the time I was a US medium 2/4 😅 she laughed when I said 뭐xl?!
Great, I'm of smaller stature and can fit into kids clothing sizes, in my country it's so difficult to find good looking clothes that fit. Maybe time to look at clothes in Korea.
If you're size M in Europe, you're basically size L in Asia. Their measurement/sizes are smaller in Asia. So, please be careful when goes shopping in Asia.
@@debadritachanda4863 I mean the sizes run small, too. I'm a small or medium, even xs with US lines. Then Im medium-large in SEA. But yes, there's a bigger range of plus size clothing.
@@debadritachanda4863lol .. unless it's Chinese, all asian sizing are inaccurate, even Indian size runs small, Vietnamese, Japanese,Korean.. it is smaller comparing to EU, U.K and US sizes. These asian sizes are all the same.. if you think I'm as heavy as a beached whale and as tall as a coconut tree, let me tell you, I'm 45 kilos, and 5'5 .. so go figure.
I'm going to Japan and Korea soon so I want to buy lots of cute clothes, but I don't know if I'll find anything that suits me 😅 I'm a size M in Europe Well I'll see, I can always get cute accessories, make up, skin care and shoes if I can't fit in their clothes.
I was a medium in US size when i lived in Korea.. my mom and i walked into the store and the lady said "no large!" 😂 it kinda hurt lol we still talk about that 9 years later
So as a 🇺🇸10 I’ll be a plus sz in Korea? When my hubby was stationed there he had a Tailor measure him for anything he wanted made. I got a beautiful kimono and it was Everything!!
This is reverse scenario for me when I went to London I got the xxs and xs size pants thinking they would fit me when I tried them they were like a large I had to get them all altered
Is there no option to try them? Return policy in India is also not so lenient, but u can change clothes for a different size, or colour, rather than returning it for cash. Nd makeups can not be returned after opening the package. That's why the shopkeepers keep samples to try before buying. I think this is way more hygienic
Idk if it’s different for tourist based things. I’m in Korea and I’m buying and fitting into M comfortable and I would usually be a M in Australia or about an American 10…
The return policy is pretty much the same in the UK. Unless you can prove that the product was defective then most makeup counters and beauty stores won't give you a refund.
I have a trick. Go to Korea, make tailor and fashion designing major friends. Make yourself their test subject and let them try making your clothes. Give them your cloth orders and you will get them done in cheap too. It's a 50-50 deal

Weird looking on my silhouette 😂😂 .. the "privelage" of a skinny person with broad shoulders, flat chest, narrow waist and wide hips with a thigh gap 😂😂😂😂 but i found a solution recently for myself ,I buy European tops for Euro size L and Bottoms.. I buy Chinese 😂😂😂😂
I have a similar problem, not with chest but with a big butt. I give up trying to buy pants and skirts in SK. Ended up buying tops and dresses only.
When the jacket came, only my sister ( who's a US medium) could fit it
Well that's why they have a booth where you can try on. 😂
Can we please appreciate her gorgeous styles in every 👏🏻 single 👏🏻 video 👏🏻
I was just thinking this, she looks so nice in every short I've watched.
She’s so pretty
In America I am in M/L depending (you know how all brands are different) and on average a size 8. I'm prob an xxl in Korea 😭😅
I’m 6,3 body frame big. In US I’m XL sometimes 2Xl for more comfortable baggy look. Sheesh imagine in Korea😵💫🤣
i'm more surprise due to the fact you can return you're purchased item even its used already
"The sizes are a lot smaller" bro really exposed all the korean men out there💀💀
If this comment was about women having small boobs and butt, people would raise a thousand voices. It's very very sad how nobody said anything for the men, moreover "all men"? So is society
😔
@@staybaboo pls it's a joke😭
Merci. Australia is like that once open no refund. Some stores give an exchange
As a petite girl I need to go to Korea to shop 😂 I can't find any pants that fit me in the US
I’m so confused about the size chart. It says a US size 4 is a size small in Korea. The US size 2 is an XS in Korea. Obviously I’ve never been there so I don’t know first hand. It’s just the size charts I’m finding.
why are guys complaining 😭😭 y’all act like the U.S. dont have big sizes. obviously we’re gonna need a place for people who are smaller and im not tryna body shame or anything but ik south korea has good clothes and the U.S.? yeah no
As a size L-XL, I defo don't think I'll find clothes that'd fit me in Korea :D
They'll chase you out of the store fr 😂😂 happened to my cousin bro, last month he visited SK for a work trip, on his free time he thought to go shopping for clothes, guess what happened!??? Some stores were downright at the entrance"WE DON'T HAVE YOUR SIZE"! and the rest "YOU SO FAT,NO CLOTHES FOR YOU"! he's not a beached whale, He's just a 5'8 and 80 kilos. He works in a church, He's a Pastor btw 😂😂😂, and the church which invited him as a preacher, the members were like "You FAT"! He was wrecked 😅 oh btw we are Asian too.. not south Korean.
@@thisnthat7760 oh my god NOO THAT'S INSANE 😭 SO many people visit SK these days, aren't they supposed to get a bit more progressive and start selling clothes that could fit everyone? 😭💀
Korea product like china product. Myeongdong outfit! 🤣🤣🤣
Same in switzerland
Damn i need to go to korea, xs sometimes doesnt even fit me in europe
Kwon delivers a strong short here
a lot of asian country sizes are just extra small in every corner. i'm a relatively medium to large size in us but in my country, the outfit that matches me at the very least are those in xxl-xxxxl. the same goes for shoes. i can fit just fine in 39 or 40 in eu or us sizes but in my country it's 42 or 43.
Ya! Most Asian countries you can't return. I used to be a size 3 US and when I return in my country. I had to tried to Large. Uh! The store owner got mad at me that I had to try on so many things and even told us "You are too big" 🙉. Ha! It's a thing about physical look in Asia.
😮
But if we don't open package then how i will know it's fitting or not???
You check the size chart before go two sizes up 🤷🏻♀️
You can return because you regret buying it (before opening package), but if it doesn't suit your skin, makes you breakout, the colour doesn't match, etc, it's your loss. That's why there're a lot of samples to try before you buy 🤷🏻♀️.
I wear smalls in american. In asian sizes i wear a meadium 😂
Clothes are also made to fit Korean bodies, so things like sleeve lengths and inseams are much smaller! If you are a taller (or even average) height expect that you might not be able to find anything that covers your ankles or wrists 😂😂 unless it’s the largest in mens/unisex size
Guess my dream of meeting ÆSPA won’t come true, But………
DREAMS COME TRUE

I'm literally too skinny, in my country ( India ) it's very hard to find my size cloths 😢 I really wants to go south korea
The US is so generous with its return policy. You all should be grateful for that and stop abusing it.
Well Asian women are much smaller than western women. What did you expect?
Only me who thinks she looks a lot like Im Yoona(Sunny from Goblin the lonely god)?
I hate bad return policies, especially when places don't even have fitting rooms
Same in most countries.
Once you break that packaging, it's considered used. 😆
So I had a culture shock when I learned about the US return policy when I started working in a call center for a huge retail store account. I was like, 😲 really???? Won't the company suffer losses for unreasonable returns? But what do I know? 😆🤷🏻♀️
Tell me about it lol
I literally once bought a summer shorts online off a Korean shopping site, I'm not very skinny but I fit into S sized clothes.
Size up if u wear a large get a xl
I've also heard people say that pants are generally not that long. Me being 5'10, I don't think I'll ever shop for pants there😅
Yeah pants are as long as ... Around someone with 5'5 or 5'6 tall person's length... And female shoe size runs till Euro /U.K size 39.
Idk about American sizing, but I'm a European size 36/s and i fit a korean s just fine 🤷🏼♀️ the only issue is length or occasiinally the boob area 😅 I'm 167 cm and finding pants long enough was always a struggle in Korea
I think i should buy clothes from there I am SKINNY😢
what size should i get if us size xs is usually too big??
I mean, yeah the sizes are gonna be smaller guys. westerners are just a bit bigger.
I wear an XXL in American size, sooo… no clothes for me in Korea
If you're size M in Europe, you're basically size L in Asia. Their measurement/sizes are smaller in Asia. So, please be careful when goes shopping in Asia.
Yup, my sister was warned by my mother when retuning. Even if you rip the tag off the clothes they will not take the outfit back.
Maybe these apply to East and Southeast Asia in general..
doesn't apply to southeast asia . Just east asia. Southeast has a wide range of clothes from extra small to 7-8 XL
I bought 8 clothes,Indian clothes, size M. Too tight. These asian sizes are all the same.. if you think I'm as heavy as a beached whale and as tall as a coconut tree, let me tell you, I'm 45 kilos, and 5'5 .. so go figure.
@@thisnthat7760 gurl idk where you buying stuff fr cuz as an Indian it's pretty easy to get clothes
Also saying this cuz I am not 45kgs I am 90kgs
I'm going to Japan and Korea soon so I want to buy lots of cute clothes, but I don't know if I'll find anything that suits me 😅 I'm a size M in Europe
Well I'll see, I can always get cute accessories, make up, skin care and shoes if I can't fit in their clothes.
Wish I could fit into sk size S :)
ok? talk to your therapist ig??
I love Asian clothing sizes. Finally, stuff I don't have to tailor! Although, sometimes the sleeves and pantlegs are too short for me.
And a lot of clothes are “free size” one size fits all
my mom is a size S in japan its so dumb shes 5'2 and literally 99 lbs like tf
that would confuse me because im a sisze xs but in korea idk
I was a medium in US size when i lived in Korea.. my mom and i walked into the store and the lady said "no large!" 😂 it kinda hurt lol we still talk about that 9 years later
Probably because Koreans are usually not as big as most Americans Asians are just more petite in size on average (probably due to malnutrition)
I bought size S once in South Korea and it was too big for me😂
Yeah the returns policy isnt that unusual, its the same in many countries.
Is there no option to try them?
Return policy in India is also not so lenient, but u can change clothes for a different size, or colour, rather than returning it for cash. Nd makeups can not be returned after opening the package. That's why the shopkeepers keep samples to try before buying. I think this is way more hygienic
I'm from France but to me the return policy one is normal to me ! I had do idea you could return stuff after using in the US, it's crazy
thanks
I ACTUALLY WISH I COULD BUY THERE, all clothes from mexico or US are mostly really big for me :( since a lot of stores don’t have 3XS :(
Idk if it’s different for tourist based things. I’m in Korea and I’m buying and fitting into M comfortable and I would usually be a M in Australia or about an American 10…
I’m a US size 4 I’ll feel like a fool with my “giant” butt/hips in pants 😂
If YOU cannot fit into a korean S then I will probably never find my size in korea
The return policy is pretty much the same in the UK. Unless you can prove that the product was defective then most makeup counters and beauty stores won't give you a refund.
In India my size is L/XL, idk about the US or Korea though 😅
I'm a M but in Korean size I'm an XL 😵💫 LIKE WHATTTTTT.
I have a trick. Go to Korea, make tailor and fashion designing major friends. Make yourself their test subject and let them try making your clothes. Give them your cloth orders and you will get them done in cheap too. It's a 50-50 deal
👑👀😲W🤯W😲🤯😲
THANK ALMIGHTY GOD
FOR YOUR CREATION
THE ENTIRE WORLD IS GRATEFUL
ESPECIALLY ME ❤️🥰💍🌹😍🍾😘🥂
The worst thing is a lot of places don't let you try things on T_T
I wear a size 2 in the US too so would a size 2 be a Medium in Korea?
