So disgusted with our current SCOTUS. Vote Blue to correct this corrupt situation. Term limits & add enough new Justices to balance the court.
Each judicial district is overseen by a supreme court justice.
There are 13 judicial district's in the USA.
With 9 supreme court justices, that means some supreme court justices look after two or more districts. It would seem better for there to be one supreme court justice for each judicial district, which would mean appointing four more supreme court justices.
The American system of making appointing judges, at every level, a political decision is open to abuse, especially as federal appointments carry life time terms. It would be better if the American Bar Association were given the power to appoint and remove judges.
That will only be possible if the House, Senate and President are Democrats. The two parties may disagree with policies and that's ok. That what makes us a democracy but Democrats aren't trying to get rid of democracy, republicans are. It is also very important that the voters do the same when electing in their state elections.

I can testify to that after SCOTUS refuses to look at a RICO case involving the state of California, the CHP, the county of Los Angeles and Los Angeles judges, including superior Court, court of appeals and the CA Supreme Court.

Whether innocent or guilty, it should be mandatory to resolve all criminal cases prior to voting for that person. There should be such rule in the law.

Yep, and it’s always important to remember for him, every accusation is also an admission. Every damn thing he’s accused Biden of or Democrats for is something he himself is doing or did or wants to do.
The prosecution's failure to timely file charges should not translate into the courts rushing a trial that violates a defendant's right to a fair trial.
A rushed trial with a conviction that gets overturned will lead to serious claims that the prosecution was politically motivated election interference.
As an outsider, the US judicial system is mind boggling to me. The fact that a democracy's judiciary can be so politically biased is astonishing. The actual process which has brought you to this Republican weighted 6-3 Supreme Court is shocking to say the least. McConnell's manipulations since 2016, which have resulted in a Court which can pretty much overrule ANYTHING which threatens the power of the GOP, has ridden a coach and horses through your democracy. It doesn't appear to matter how biased and corrupt they are, they have lifetime appointments. Even Presidents only serve a single 4 year term, and a max of 2 terms if re-elected. This needs to be seriously addressed if/when Dems control both Houses again
I consider all of these delays to protect Trump from prosecution and admission that he is guilty of everything he has been charged with. I will not vote for a criminal for president.

Delay = Guilty. After all only someone who is guilty on all counts would have an incentive to delay their trials for as long as possible. After all if Trump is as innocent as his MAGA base claims him to be, then Trump would want a speedy trial before the election to clear his name of all wrongdoings.

For the first time in our nation’s history our President failed to peacefully transfer power upon loss of a free and fair election. And in 4 years our courts have failed to hold him to account. That is not how Democracy works.
Saying something is unlikely because it’s “rare” seems like a very unreasonable way to assess anything to do with THIS Supreme Court.
It is really disturbing that Cannon is getting away with delaying this trial. It brings much disrespectful opinions toward the court as a whole.

This is a case where we, the voters, have a right to know whether the person we may vote for is guilty of a potentially treasonous act. Yet our legitimate concerns regarding a speedy trial have been all but ignored by the judiciary.
It is not a car where he is guilty or not, it is whether he is going to be held accountable.

Great way to explain why there seems to be no way or recourse to stop this judge from blocking this trial. Its importance to the nation is so great this screams out for judicial reform in the most extreme case imaginable. If there were a panic button now would be the time for inventing one to use. These cases tell the nation if trump should be a candidate and the 14th amendment suggests he cannot hold office.

Need to schedule the trial and then give both sides time to subpoena witnesses. Typically judges go from one trial to the next and there are other things happening in the world that need to be tried.
My guess is they need 80 days to get all the republican bribes they can find. Corrupt court.
