Chima is a legend. He's been a favorite of mine for a very long time. Can't skate quite like I used to but watching Chima still killing it makes me happy.
Man, I f*cking love the Ground Glass series. Thank you for doing these Jenkem and James Thomson, especially as it ain't cheap to shoot 16mm film anymore! Please never stop. Worth every cent in my books. Would love to see a behind the scenes video one day.
Flips in and out of stuff sometimes but never excessive, willing to send it big but it's not all he does, style for days even just on ollies... Perfect combo of tech, steeze, and gnarly hits. Chima definitely one of the all time greats
I swear the editor of this Ground Glass series is in my head. This series of videos has the best music choices of any series I have ever come across in BMX and skate. As a BMXer and casual watcher/appreciator of skate videos I went into this thinking "Oh cool, they always have good music in these. What music will be in this one?" And then BOOM. I'm hit with one of my favorite songs from one of the most pivotal bands in my life as far as my music taste goes.
No frills style and actually focusing on the tricks is what a lot of skaters need to go back to these days. I don't need to see any more clips of dudes wearing insane outfits doing mediocre tricks. Chima is the man.
What are you smoking? The tricks were not the focus of the vid. First 35 seconds are b roll and then you had plenty more spliced in throughout the video. Like half the video was nonsense b roll. Not to mention this artsy filter and filming and slo mo. Your complaint about mid tricks from “skaters these days.” That’s all this part was. Flat ground tricks and ledge tricks isn’t anything new. There’s so many dope parts coming out daily I don’t know what makes you think this is a stand out part
@@phantomclan-blob998 I was referring to Chima himself and referring to the video description of his "no frills style." His trick selection and execution along with his overall presentation are enjoyable to watch. It's not a stand out part at all but I don't think good skating and artsy filming and editing have to be mutually exclusive. It's nice to see videos with skaters whose pants fit while being able to see the whole skater in frame.

Chima has always been one of the greats. Big fan of his trick selection/style.
Chima had by far my favorite parts of 2022. He went huge and absolutely killed it
