This is the problem with DE and DE fans, "Elena is Damon's source of happiness so it doesn't matter if Damon is a human etc. etc." one person cannot be another person's everything nor should they be, that's the definition of unhealthy and that's when you get into situations like in season 5 when Damon thought Elena broke up with him so he reacted by killing Aaron and kidnapping Jeremy because his "one" source of happiness broke his heart and he couldn't deal so he had a wildly disproportionate reaction. Stefan is the only one thinking maturely and trying to get Damon to see the larger picture instead of what's in front of him; Damon would *hate* being a human because he was right in season 4, that human life with marriage and kids and careers etc. isn't him, that was Stefan, that is the basic difference between the two brothers and if he were trapped in that life when deep down he knows he doesn't actually want it, it *would* be his hell. And if Delena is so epic then him being a vampire and her being a human wouldn't be a problem until it *really* became a problem years later, I mean a human-vampire relationship was good enough for Stelena there is absolutely no reason why it has to be a problem for Delena at this current point in time, I mean, if they're as epic as people say.
ZalRB1 Well realistically Vamp Damon and Human elena wouldn't be a problem if Nina didn't have to leave. Damon liked her since s1 and she was a human than. I think the main "problem" is that if they stay together as a vamp and a human (knowing that elena can't be a vamp ever again) then they would be too attached to each other at the end for one of them or even Damon to end the relationship which is why I think DE will end off with Damon compeling her to forget him and live with Jo and Alaric as an act of selflessness or Kia coming back and killing her. (This would be like s4 when Damon had to break up with her bc she was sired to him.) LOL I just hope she leaves soon
Helen Perko This is the problem with the way they're choosing to send Elena off the show, the problems are absolutely contrived and aren't really "problems" and make me roll my eyes but then again everything about Delena makes me roll my eyes so there's that but I do think you're right about Damon compelling Elena to forget him and that would be his ultimate act of redemption blah blah blah blah blah. Like you, I just want her gone soon too.
ZalRB1 I can't believe this promo is just about them I just can't I wanted to see Kai loool People are claiming that Stefan has always been a crappy brother like their eyes have been closed throughout tvd I mean how many times has Stefan saved his ass like I'm not even gonna go into detail about the things that Stefan has done selflessly because he loves Damon He knows Damon more than uhlena Or anyone I think he knows what Damon truly wants He wants to be with uhlena because he doesn't want to lose her not because the human life is what he always dreamed of He doesn't want his brother to be miserable at all I'm sure if after all of this Damon is 100% about taking the cure he'll be willing to let him But let's get real dobrev is leaving If Damon was to take the cure and be human during s7 there would be no point
Carmela I don't think people understand that what the writers are trying to do and have been trying to do with delena is show that they're fundamentally incompatible with each other. Their problem is *supposed* to be that they love each other, yes, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they fulfil one another because they both want truly different things out of life and the only thing they can really agree on is that they want to be together but there is the constant question of whether or not that means they *should* be together and the writers have decided to use humanity and vampirism as the ultimate example of this incompatibility so from this promo, it just looks like stefan is being the "bad guy" by being the mature one and pointing this out to damon because this decision isn't like pizza versus chinese, this is about damon's life, his identity, what he will do with being a human outside of being with elena, it isn't simply about loving being a vampire, it's about who he is at his core, just like how elena, at her core, is a human and chose humanity, that is what damon is with his vampirism and I just find the idea the Elena is the only thing he needs in his life to be happy wildly immature. They're already codependent; the codependence that would come with them being human? Lord. And as you said, Nina is LEAVING, there would be absolutely no point of Damon being a human in season 7. Fans need to get a grip.
ZalRB1 Preach it. I couldn't have said it any better. That's exactly what I've been thinking the whole time. Though, I have to admit that I really don't know if the writers didn't lose their senses at some point. I guess we will have closure when S6 ends. Btw, it's so great to see people commenting TVD promos which still have a brain and see the big picture. :)
I think I died of heartache. Delena's undoing is my undoing. I wish I could unknow what I know about Nina leaving so I could finish out this season with hope. I no longer have hope for DE, thanks JP you sure know how to crush someone's spirit.
I tried my hardest not to cry but I did. I keep telling myself not to watch but I can't seem to fight it. Looks like I'm finishing out the season. I will not be watching next season without Elena, Tyler, and Jeremy though and especially not without a chance of either Delena or Stelena. I have a horrible feeling that this is really the end of my favorite show. After the finale Julie Plec will reveal if Nina will guest star next season and if she isn't I can't watch. I'm just going to pretend TVD ended with Delena, Stelena, or both living happily ever after because the alternative is just too damn sad.
Give me a Chance Nina Dobrev is not coming back for season 7, not even as a guest star! Caroline Dries confirmed it in an interview to Tv Guide Magazine. But Malarkey said that fans who watched the show from the beginning will appreciate Elena's exit. I think that's why they are doing a flash forward at the end of season 6.
AnaCat M I think Malarkey hopes they'll appreciate the exit. I know I won't. I watch tv shows for good writing and quality characters, two things the show is already starting to lack. The story telling isn't what it used to be and with Nina, Steven, and Michael going to be missing from next season they'll be lacking characters and certain dynamics that made the show a favorite to watch such as Elena and well everyone, Jeremy and Bonnie, Alaric, Matt, Tyler, Damon, and Tyler and Caroline, Matt, and Jeremy. Tis' a shame Nina won't return for the final finale, now I definitely have no reason to watch it. Thank you for letting me know, I had not heard that information yet. It's good to know ahead of time, better to prepare oneself for disappointment, which I sorely am.
This week episode was actually good. Stefan and Damon's mom is crazy, how could you not love them? I get that they bring up a version of her that she doesn't like but they're her children. Even though it was for a short while, I was so glad when Kai appeared! I was dancing all over my living room and my mom was looking at me crazy! I love that he's going to be back, and hopefully he doesn't just have a small part in the next episode. I can't wait for the next episode, I literally want to fast forward to next Thursday. I know that Nina is leaving so that means they're going to have to find a way to get Elena out but there's no word on Damon leaving so I think he's going to stay a vampire. Matt is becoming annoying, he cannot just all of a sudden hate vampires so much that he can't stand them. I get that Caroline and Stefan tried to kill him but a lot of time vampires have killed him, why does he have to go on vampire hating mode now? And did he forget about Bonnie? Bonnie is not a murderer but it seems like now that Kai and the heretics are getting out, she might have to lay down the law. But hopefully my BonKai does happen! This is just making me more amped up for the seventh season because I have a feeling for that season it's going to be about the heretics and I can't wait. Now that Delena isn't going to take up most of the storyline, things should be better.
Stefan's right though Damon will hate being human. He relishes in being a Vampire that is him in and out. It will be completely useless especially if Elena is leaving.
ducky7jas elena is damon source of happiness stefan has no right to tell him what he should do and no one know how DE human life will be they OBV love each other so much i think they are gonna be happy together
Delena & Steroline As a brother he does have a right to talk to his brother about him and try to make him realize what it means to end his vampire life. Damon always said that he never wanted to be human again so Stefan must be suspicious.
I love Damon, but, I just don't like him with Elena. There was only one person I wanted him to be with & the writers killed her off in "The Descent" from "Season 2". Stefan was more than willing to become human again in "Season 4". In a deleted scene from the "Season 2" premiere, Stefan revealed to Jeremy that he hated being a vampire & told Jeremy that he was wrong for trying to kill himself so he could become one. For those who don't know what the hell I'm talking about... In the "Season 1" finale, Damon told Jeremy that Anna (his girlfriend) had been killed with the tomb vampires. Damon offered to erase Jeremy's pain, but, he wanted it to be Jeremy's choice. Jeremy turned him down. Then he inquired about the humanity switch & Damon confirmed his theory. Earlier in the episode, Anna gave Jeremy her blood. He took Anna's blood in the bathroom, drank it & found Elena's painkillers and took the entire bottle. When I brought "Season 2" on Blu-Ray, I was heartbroken the writers decided to cut out Stefan's scene in Jeremy's bedroom. Dumb move...
Delena & Steroline Stefan isn't telling him want he should do. He's trying to show him what is going to happen if he makes this decision. He's being a good brother. Wants to make sure he's doing decision he won't latter regret and end up resenting Elena for it.
Im crying sooo lauderr that everrr in the history of delena in the history of my life delena IS THE SOUL OF TVD AND TVD IS PART OF MY LIFE AND THIS SERIE IS GOING SOO FAST WHIT MY FEELING AND IM NOT THE ONLY ONE.. JULIE IS PLAYING SOO MUCHH!!!
I don't see why people are hating on Stefan for not wanting to lose his brother. Yes it's selfish but you all know if it was reversed Damon would do the same thing.
Skyeward Lyfe But he's also a hyprocite because back in S4 Stefan said that if Elena wanted the cure and to be with him he would take it, basically not caring what anyone else thought.
Stefan wanting to become human again in "Season 4" didn't make him a hypocrite. That's my opinion. This season a lot of things have been brought into the picture: The Prison Worlds & Magical Ascendants... If Elena wanted to become human again with Stefan in "Season 4", Damon wouldn't be without a brother 60+ years in the future. You remember Bonnie's gift to Damon in 6x17? In a deleted scene from the "Season 2" premiere, Stefan revealed to Jeremy that he hated being a vampire & told Jeremy that he was wrong for trying to kill himself so he could become one... In the "Season 1" finale, Damon told Jeremy that Anna (his girlfriend) had been killed with the tomb vampires. Damon offered to take away Jeremy's pain again, but, he wanted it to be Jeremy's choice. Jeremy turned him down. Then he inquired about the humanity switch & Damon confirmed his theory. Earlier in the episode, Anna gave Jeremy her blood. He took Anna's blood inside the bathroom, drank it & found Elena's painkillers and took the entire bottle. When I brought "Season 2" on Blu-Ray, I was heartbroken the writers decided to cut Stefan's scene in Jeremy's bedroom. Dumb move...
Crystal Dominique But what I'm trying to say is that how is it okay for Stefan to want to leave his brother and become a human and then for Damon to become a human. Stefan forced Damon to turn so he wouldn't be alone. Now he's forcing him to stay a vampire so he wouldn't be alone. The only difference now Damon has more to live for than just his brother and so does Stefan. They both found girls they be with and have friends. No one is really going to be alone either way so why can't everyone just let Damon do what HE wants!
I understand where your coming from but just like before Stefan needs his brother. I see why its a selfish thing but when it comes to family, you have to be selfish sometimes and I do see that Damon wants to be with Elena and have a family etc. but I honestly think if he became human with Elena somewhere down the line he would regret becoming a human. Just like Damon cant lose Stefan . Back in 5x22? he was broken up about Stefan being on the other side and was ready give up his life to get him back..
Skyeward Lyfe I get that too, but how he's going to get in his head next episode is kind of mean though.. also who said that just because Damon is human means Stefan will never see him again. Stefan can still visit him for a while. Nothing needs to really change. ;x
I loved the flashback to when elena was human before becoming a vampire, with the straight hair, she looked like the real/right elena not the vampire elena. I really liked her character then idk she had this cuteness about her then, I never understood why people complained about her.. Anyway now I wonder what Elena was planning to do when she entered a r/ship with immortal vampires, you'd think they would have this conversation in the beginning of the r/ship not when the show is about to end, did she ever have the 'I'm going to age & you're not' conversation with stefan? I can't remember
This is so ridiculous! What the hell is going with Stefan? He's crazy? Delena is a epic love being humans or not. I'm not here for this, after 6 seasons end up with Elena going away with Jo and Alaric cuz Stefan 'freaked' Damon with '''how your human lives would be a shit''' STUPID!!! I cant believe my otp will end up like this. For God's sake I will never watch a single ep after 6x22.
Luca Ruocco Stefan said something like: If Damon take the cure he'll human forever and so his human life with Elena will be falling apart and his friends and family would be your hell. And Damon said in the end: Get out of my head!
This is how I think will end -Damon will realize he is in love with Bonnie, Damon will make elena forget him, then he will tell her to go live with Jo and Alaric as a human life taking care of kids.
Its nice to know even if Elena took the cure in season 4 she would have still chose Damon. Stefan would have been butt hurt lol Stefan was a great boyfriend and all back then but Damon gave Elena what love should be.
rachael No I'm 100% serious when you love someone, truly deeply love someone its infectious. Its all-consuming, you feel when you look at them, when your near them, and when they look at you. Its a once in a lifetime kind of love. She managed to fall in love with Damon all over again without her memories you cant tell me that not a love for the ages. I do believe Elena loved Stefan deeply and I know its a show but in real life some people come into your life for many different reasons. She needed Stefan at that time in her life, He needed her as well, they fell in love, had a real relationship and endured a lot and will forever be in each others hearts. You just don't forget that kind of love they had for each other And with Stefan coming into her life he also unintentionally brought Damon. When you open your door to one person or open yourself up to something anybody or anything can come in. Sometimes its be for the better or for the worse but you leave yourself open for possibility and a twist of fates. In life you never really know whats in the cards for you, you may think you have it all figured out and where you want to be and who you want to be with and then life happens. It throws a curve ball and what you thought you knew it turns out you didn't know shit. Stefan's reason for being in Elena life was to bring her a new found love a deep, genuine, pure love, and to help her heal but I believe he was also meant to bring her Damon. Everything happens for a reason and whats meant to be will be, you cant stop fate. She said it herself when shes with Damon it consumes, its passionate, deep, exciting, unapologetic, unconditional, freeing love and rather it last forever or not she's know a great love twice in her life and some will never even know at all or ever.
Stefan maybe right, if Damon becomes human he just might end up being miserable and alone but you never know he could end the the happiest human on earth, its a slim chance but possible. Stefan has Stefan's best interest at heart not Damon's, hes being 100% selfish in his reasoning. Stefan was willing to do the exact same thing way back when he was in love with Elena and if that's what he really wanted Damon would have let him go and get him be happy but when the situation is reversed Stefan puts what he wants and that fact that he doesn't want to be alone over Damon's happiness. I don't think Damon should be human given the enemies hes made and that fact that being a vampire is everything to him. He's jumping the gun and being impulsive and not taking time to think clearly as per usual but if chooses to give it all up its his choice and his choice alone........What happened to the Stefan that respected others' choices, he's such a hypocrite.
Damon is going to be crushed when Elena leaves...He will be killing people again and angry and sad because knowing he let the love of his life walk away. He may get over it but it will never be the same for him. He will be off the rails...and some people may want to see him that way, bad ass and killing but deep inside he's crying :(
My heart is broken into million pieces. I love Delena and i'm still not ready to let them go.. The writers could have made their few episodes epic instead of bringing that stupid cure again.. They've promised forever and now Elena had that sudden urge to become a human again!! Anyways Stefan is not being selfish, he knows Damon more than anyone else and somehow he knows how miserable his human life might become in the future! I don't think Damon will take the cure and it's cause i can't imagine human Damon in s7 and without Elena he will just be as miserable as ever,, atleast being a vampire he can switch off his humanity or he'l just turned into the badass vampire that he was in season 1!! *Sign* Still nervous and confused to know what will happen in this season finale! They better don't disappoint us! Are they going to kill Elena or just compel her to leave or another twist! #CuriousAF
I don't think Damon will become human, but then again I also don't think Elena is going anywhere. I know Nina is leaving the show, but I have this feeling that season 7 will be a flash forward and Elena will be older, played by a different actress. I can't foresee her character just disappearing.
Jorge Araújo Katherine only got old so fast because the last time she was human, which was a gazillion years prior to the cure being shoved down her throat, those years caught up to her as a human. Elana, on the other hand hasn't been a Vampire that long at all so she'll only age a couple years...
Malinie Hernandez Tara mentioned a Flash foward in her comment... Say 20 years... Elena will be older, I never said it would be because of the cure because even if someone sucks the cure out of her, she'd only age about 2 years... Cheers.
mileyrox2754456 Dumb bitch Stefan was the one that caused Damon to become a vampire, and now he's telling Stefan not to take the cure that's fucking selfish to me you idiot
Stefan's doing the right thing. Damon's gonna HATE being human. Vampirism has become a part of them. It won't be the same at all!
People are claiming that Stefan has always been a crappy brother like their eyes have been closed throughout tvd
I mean how many times has Stefan saved his ass like I'm not even gonna go into detail about the things that Stefan has done selflessly because he loves Damon
He knows Damon more than uhlena
Or anyone
I think he knows what Damon truly wants
He wants to be with uhlena because he doesn't want to lose her not because the human life is what he always dreamed of
He doesn't want his brother to be miserable at all I'm sure if after all of this Damon is 100% about taking the cure he'll be willing to let him
But let's get real dobrev is leaving

Cried at then end when i saw Kai lmao im so FREAKING PUMPED
The Delena scenes today were beyond amazing, can't wait for next week's episode:D
So... Julie gives Elena her memories back, and guess what she does next? Delena fight! Again... Why, just why?
I think I died of heartache. Delena's undoing is my undoing. I wish I could unknow what I know about Nina leaving so I could finish out this season with hope. I no longer have hope for DE, thanks JP you sure know how to crush someone's spirit.

Does he look evil again to u?
Taylor T Damn right he does hahahaha :D
Hey check my channel I just made a vampire diaries crack but it's very short i am a little rusty but it's very funny
So Kai is back? ... Can't wait to see him in action! I love his character on the show and I missed him, hope he can handle Bonnie feisty self lol
Does anyone know the name of the song when Stefan made Damon see how his life would look like without Elena?
FUCKK IDK WHAT TO THINK OR DO OR FEEL OMFG
oh my gosh i just can't wait for kai to come back
It's so sad that next season is gonna be the last! Everything is changing! I loved old school Vampire Diaries!!

Alice Gomez Agreed. No more TVD after 6x22 for me either.
This is how I think will end -Damon will realize he is in love with Bonnie, Damon will make elena forget him, then he will tell her to go live with Jo and Alaric as a human life taking care of kids.
Uh no I think Bamon could happen after elena leaves but not like that
Human Damon was looking miserable lol
Stefan, baby... what the hell are you doing?
I am still trying to cope with the fact that Nina won't be in the show anymore. This will not be TVD for me anymore. This is making me feel sad ;(
Its nice to know even if Elena took the cure in season 4 she would have still chose Damon. Stefan would have been butt hurt lol Stefan was a great boyfriend and all back then but Damon gave Elena what love should be.
Professor X ....... youre joking right
rachael No I'm 100% serious when you love someone, truly deeply love someone its infectious.
Since nina is leaving tvd I think they should bring kath and amara for the final ep
both dead, doubt it will happen
Why would Elena be older?
Malinie Hernandez Well... because she's human now.
Jorge Araújo Katherine only got old so fast because the last time she was human, which was a gazillion years prior to the cure being shoved down her throat, those years caught up to her as a human. Elana, on the other hand hasn't been a Vampire that long at all so she'll only age a couple years...
Malinie Hernandez katherines age caught up to her because the cure was sucked out of her by silas
Malinie Hernandez Tara mentioned a Flash foward in her comment... Say 20 years... Elena will be older, I never said it would be because of the cure because even if someone sucks the cure out of her, she'd only age about 2 years...
Cheers.
Damon is better as a vampire.
Everyone calm the f down, this is the VD plot twist always happen. Elena is Human again.
I think that in the final episode, damon will become human and elena is going to die after that.
BTW how selfish is Stefan Salvatore smh
Ikr
schoolgurl95 Ohhh stfu
mileyrox2754456 Dumb bitch Stefan was the one that caused Damon to become a vampire, and now he's telling Stefan not to take the cure that's fucking selfish to me you idiot
Crystal Dominique Girl bye ain't nobody got time for that
AlinasArt It's my post,so what if I am lol
