I am from Denmark but recently I've been looking into studying abroad (maybe for the whole time, maybe just for a semester or two) and the university of Alabama looks really great. I've been looking into univ. of Alabama and univ. of Pittsburgh. Would you recommend univ. of Alabama to an international student? And can you go to Alabama and not be in a sorority? I subscribed btw:-)
I’m going to be a sophomore at Alabama this fall. In regards to choosing, if you’re worried about money I’d say Pittsburg is more expensive because it’s in a bigger city and the further up north you get the more expensive it is. If you like a big campus , warm weather, and lots of school activities I highly recommend Alabama for you. It’s great for international students and offers scholarships. Also, YES you can definitely go the Alabama and not have to join a sorority. I did not join a sorority and I’m a domestic student. There are plenty of clubs to join and other ways to have fun. Sorority culture is not mandatory.
Hey Caroline! I'm going to be a senior at Alabama this year. I've made friends with a lot of the international students (some even from Denmark!) and definitely recommend Alabama for study abroad. You definitely don't have do be in a sorority! I would recommend living in the Rotary House if you are studying abroad. It's a mix of students from the states and other countries so it's a great way to meet people from around the world who are also studying for a semester or a full year!

why do some people have apartment such as yours and some have classic dorm rooms such as the last room?
Kathryn Handler It’s just preference! I wanted to live in a suite style dorm so I did, and my friend wanted to live in a traditional room so she did.
Sydney Palmer awesome thanks
