Great video tour! You sold this family on UA! It looks like someone put a lot of TLC into that campus. Very beautiful. The little study booths were a highlight. Such an inspiring space to study. Sorority row was impressive. I guess I didn’t expect much thinking they would be run of the mill Greek houses(big, but a little tired, needs help). I didn’t expect to see 20 something immaculate Barbie dream houses mega sized. This tour changed my daughter’s options from UA being an option, to UA being the priority.
Yes, Bryce got the first round pick by the Carolina Panthers! Keep Pounding! Yes you can see how it sparkles! The sunset is absolutely beautiful and All of the sorority houses on sorority row are absolutely beautiful! Lauren Norris who is also a RUclipsr was in Pi Phi at Bama!
Many things changed, since I was a student at UoA (1977-1984), the ΔΔΔ house was across the street from where it is now and it was round. Barnwell field, that we used to play soccer is now a parking lot. But the ΔΓ anchor, even with it's new brass color (it was dark colored in my days) reminded me of a time that our ΘΤ (back then it was a men's fraternity and ΔΓs were our Little Sisters, I think this changed now because in the new form ΘΤ became coed because is was a professional engineering fraternity and I believe the old scheme was dissolved for a while) pledges hand cuffed me on the anchor and as our members were chasing them around, in order to get the handcuff's key to free me, they lost the key in the grass lol. I got so mad with the whole thing, that I put the double side of the cuff my hand was tied with, over a blade near the top of the ΔΓ anchor and using my arm as a lever, I broke the pin of the hand cuffs and set my self free, with only minor cuts on the sides of my wrist. So the ΔΓ anchor has it's history with me too lol.
@@amandaking_xoxo Although after my return to Greece in 1984, I served in the Greek Army as an officer and studied in two more universities in Greece, eventually getting a PhD in Engineering, I can say that regardless of the difficulties, the anxiety and the difficulties, my time as a student at the UoA, was the best of my life. I think this will be true for all students, and I guess crazy things still happen, so enjoy your time there, because it will never be the same afterwards.
I wanna go here one day when I’m older and I wanna know more about it if I’m sure but the website keeps wanting my student name even though I don’t go there. Does the sorority you go to affect your dorm or The sorority house you pick?? And other info is most helpful!!
I am planning on taking my son here while im attending a class near there. In hopes it will motivate him to get his head out his ass with school. 🤞 🤷♂️🤞

I have just found this video and have to admit, i like this. Great video tour, but, all i want to know is, "wheres all the people at? It Seems abandonded".
Many of the buildings are the same as when I started there 50 years ago but the landscaping, hardscaping, building interiors, stadium, and amenities were nothing like this. Grass was scruffy, we parked in an unpaved lot that turned to mud when it rained, building interiors were old and creaky. For the non Bama fans who think Saban was paid too much, Bama football paid for much of this either directly or indirectly. Nice video but you did leave out Bidgood Hall, the business school where most of my classes were. I will say that some of this is over the top. Upgrades were needed but not opulence.

Yes I know we have international students!
You bet.
Those study booths on the 6th floor of the library look so great for working but they are tiny! Don't think my 6'4" son will fit!!
lol they do have other places that have a lot more space!
