Please keep the list of exercises in the description. I love it so much because it helps me to prepare for the space that I need in case I don't have enough room to work out in my bedroom then I can prepare my space outside!! It also helps me also because if I have to go outside, I like to make sure I have everything done inside as far as with my children and my twins as well so that I have that uninterrupted workout session with you!! Thank you so much Sydney!! And I love your videos 😁😁
Yes! Love it when a list of exercises is in the description. Helps me to be better prepared and not have to pause video between sets. Thanks for everything! ❤️ -Angela
I agree. I also have adjustable weights that take a while to adjust and it's good to know what's coming so I can be strategic in how I adjust/set my weights. Thank you so much Sydney!!
I actually emailed them a few months back when a few workouts in a row did not have descriptions and Dustin emailed back and said "There aren't any set standards, per se, in regard to the workout video descriptions, but Sydney always lists out what she feels is most helpful to the user and viewer. I will make sure to push this information along to her that you were looking for the detailed exercise list as feedback though." I totally agree with having the exercises in the description! GAME CHANGER for prepping!
It also helps me think of or research my modifications especially since she hasn't had a modification window. I have a injured knee and sometimes need further modifications so that I don't end up quitting the video out of frustration. Those exercises on the description really help. Any word on the modification window?
I used to do a Tabata 3 times a week. My friend told me about Sydney's workout and I said, "every time I try something else, I lose strength" she encouraged me to try this. Four months in and I've not lost strength, but gained it. I've had 6 kids and my own children comment I am in way better shape than their friends parents. With grandchild #2 on the way, I want to be active for them!! I just started officiating basketball, most people ask if I'm worried about keeping up with the athletes. I tell them, "that's the least of my concerns". 53 years old and I'm in better shape than when I just ran. When the weather gets better, I will have to figure how to fit all my runs in. Love this!
YES Sydney says, and dip dip dip dip! I'm so much more balanced physically now that I am more emotionally balanced. Thank you for your words of encouragement. You're a goddess!
I really impressed myself today with the bent over rows. I was able to do more weight than I have in awhile. Sydney's chat at the end really hit home for me. This past year was really rough on me physically. I was diagnosed with a chronic condition that made it very difficult for me to stay active and I put on quite a bit of weight. It definitely is humbling to go from being able to do a lot to starting at a lot lower weight with a weaker core, but I'm here and I'm fighting for the version of myself that I want to be.
Starting is the hardest thing to do. Start and then being consistent in the workouts and eating. I used to think I could eat whatever I wanted because I burned x amount of calories. HA! It takes a better mindset and that took time and patience. You’ve got it in you; you just need to find it. ❤
It was a greate workout. I need more effort in order to finish the workout. I will never leave the scene until to see the flashligts. Thanks Sydney. you are blessed to us by God.❤❤
Abs are on fire 😅 I didn’t have a child like Sydney but had a surgery the same time Sydney had her baby. I haven’t been able to do much of shoulder presses or anything over head workout because of my abs are weak. Hopefully by doing more abs would get my abs strength back. Thank you for all the workouts Sydney ❤
Sydney this is my 4th year of working out with you!! I’ve done some others as well but consistently come back to you! Thanks for keeping us motivated…p.s. I am one of your seniors! Age is not an excuse. Some things you just have to modify. I like the way you add the modifications into your workouts. Thank you!
I started working out with you 3 years ago when I was post-partum (and during Covid lockdowns) and I've gotten stronger than ever💪 Thank you for your honesty and vulnerability ❤️ You're amazing and you've changed my life!
Thanks for your vulnerability. You giving yourself grace gives others permission to do the same. Physically I didn’t notice any difference in you. You looked great when you came back. You always do. I did notice you scaling back as you should! I went hard on myself postpartum bc I was comparing myself to you (years ago when you didn’t have a kid). Now I see you treating yourself with care and I’m inspired to do the same, especially when I need it. Like today on my period. Thanks for being you and showing up just as you are 🙌🏼
My #royalchange this year is to pass nursing school while working and staying consistent with these workouts. I know I can do it if I set my mind to it and push hard. #process2023 #effortjanuary2023
Loved this!! I am proud of myself for doing the planks and not having to stop! I use to always stop or put a leg down! Not today!!! So proud! Thank you Sydney ❤
Chest Press and Hammer Curls for the win! My effort is here! Thank you Sydney and Dustin for what you bring to this community! I personally will be forever thankful and grateful 🙏🤎🌟💪🏽
Good morning Sydney! I’ve been following you a few years. I was inconsistent for awhile. This month I’m on it! I mark my calendar off daily w stretches, rest day and wo days. Today I felt good about shoulder flies and ab twists work. 🎉
7.5 months postpartum here! Feeling better and better with my core strength! Postpartum, I felt like I’d never be able to do full sit ups again! Felt so strong putting up 30s in chest press and hammer curling 20s! 💪🏼 Happy Friyay!
Bench press went well today. The rest was tough. I feel like I've lost momentum over the holiday season but will try to get it back now! Keep pushing us!
Jack knives and sit ups was were I felt proud of myself. I could complete the set even with the slight doubt in my head, but I kept going and did it! 🎉
I was proud of my shoulder press -- I didn't let my traps engage this time -- and of my core today! I have been working hard for years to have a strong core and it feels good.
Sydney - thanks for your positivity. I love how human you are. My shoulders were strong today. I'm going to start where I'm at with the other muscles w/o giving up.
Another great workout! Definitely feeling stronger in my core and shoulders. Bumped up to 25lbs for the chest press and used a dumbbell for the sit ups. Thanks Sydney & Dustin. Have a great day everyone.
CRUSHED IT!!! I felt strongest in the shoulder press/single dumbbell raise circuit!! That one was tough with the intense shoulder burn back to back in each round!!! Proud of myself to be able to do more of the core moves in full range of motion. That's a big win for me! Love me a great FLEX FRIDAY workout!!! Great job Squad!!! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵💦💦💦💦🔥🔥🔥🔥🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽P.S. Feeling the shakes in my upper body and my core is on fire!!!
@Sydney you are such an inspiration and it is so amazing to see your growth, as much as it is to feel my own! You are 100% allowed to praise yourself! I surprised myself with strength in my tris and bis today and pushed that heavy weight. Feeling strong! p.s purchased new Nike training sneakers today and perhaps that was the little extra push I needed to work harder.. SO WORTH IT! Let's go 2023!!
SHOULDER PRESS!!!! Wohoo! I got stronger on shoulder press! I needed this win. Since my knee re-injury, I've had very highly modified leg workouts. My legs have always been my pride, joy, and strength. It's been a bit off putting but I'm telling myself I will eventually get back to the strength I had. I have made progress with my range of motion on legs and I'm adding weight here and there. But man! My shoulder press today was truly impressive (for me). I also didn't feel like working out today and almost called it quits. I chugged my pre-workout and set my mind to "just move" mode. Showing up was the first step. Thanks Sydney + team for your hard work!
Arms and upper body have always been harder for me. Little by little I can see my strength growing and it feels GREAT! My one moment where I really felt the strength was the plank round. Then you added the dips!!! Woooo! I did it ALL tho and I'm feeling so proud. I didn't start my postpartum fitness journey until after baby number 4 and when they were almost a year old. It's been highly motivating watching you during your own journey.
Thank you so much Sydney xx i needed something a bit different that didn't kill me and this was great xx YOU SHOULD BE SO PROUD OF YOURSELF in every way - you are a beautiful soul, a strong woman (in all senses), you've endured such hardship but you continue to live with love and openness and you are doing something AMAZING for the world. Not to mention you're a total boss exercising so wonderfully both before and after your baby. BIG LOVE from Sydney (!) Australia x
Crushed it!!! 💪Really surprised myself on shoulder presses today used 7kg(15 pounds) for the 3 rounds, that's something I struggle with, but am seeing and feeling improvement in shoulder strength because I also lasted the entire time on the plank burnout, on heels for side planks too! I'm so glad you showed ur vulnerable self Sydney because I started consistently with you on ur return with Arise program as a beginner returning to strength training and have already made huge gains both physically and aesthetically, so thank you for letting us be part of your journey like you are part of ours!!! 💖
I feel STRONG!!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 I surprised myself if the chest press. 20 lbs used to be my heaviest but this time I could bump up to 25s and it was achievable for me! It's working. So proud of everyone!!!!
I surprised myself by going up to 8 lbs on the shoulder raises. I usually stay with 5 lbs but not today :) Also the last 30 sec plank I told myself I couldn't do it....BUT THEN I DID IT!!! So proud of myself I can feel myself becoming stronger. Thanks Sydney!
Day 9 of Effort complete I had to take a week off because I got COVID but I'm back recovered and feeling great after this workout! I MISSED WORKING OUT WITH SYDENY SO MUCH BUT as a reminder to anyone out there it's ok to take a break from working out that doesn't mean you've given up! The exercise they made me feel the strongest were the planks! loved this workout Sydney thanks ❤

I came to see what we are doing today and saw your comment. I agree, I love the idea of knowing what is coming.

Last week I wasn’t able to plank on my knees and today I was able to do so. Muscles are remembering what they used to do. Very proud of myself!
