The greatest song ever written. I mean it. It has everything. Genius. Gives me goose bumps every time.

This song has to be about 09/11. The fact that the song's subject was in the 84th floor cannot be coincidence. It references both the great Phillipe Petit and the 9/11 atrocity juxtaposing great beauty and endeavour, with great evil and the deliberate destruction of human lives. It one of the most moving songs I have ever heard both lyrically and sonically especially this live version here. The sheer fury of the drummers pounding and the lead singer's vocal in this performance is just astonishing.

@ooooobpbpbpooooo Here are details for the 2 vocal mics. The 58(right) went to my recorder (via Pendulum MDP1 preamp). That also fed the monitor wedges on the floor of the live room. The sm57 (left) goes straight to a Carvin amp with built in fx (slap delay and overdrive). That amp is in the live room with the band. I mic that amp up with another sm57 and that goes straight to the recorder via my Neotek Console. The two are then mixed together to get that phased & distorted sound you hear.

This is ace! an anyone talk me through the two vocal mics? I've seen it used live before, and assumed the live event was being recorded, and that the SM57 is used for louder singing parts..?
