Ive heard these Tecmo tips George sells are much better than factory. Your video is the only one i could find showing the long tip. Thank you for sharing.
@@KevincaronSculpture I don't see any info on how to order those tips. I have been searching for gouging tips for this exact torch. as NOBODY makes gouging tips for the IPT60 gun that i could find. Does he have a website or something where we can order from?
Thanks Kevin! Long time fan brother 🙏I have same everlast torch and was currently looking at local weld stores n no luck. I will definitely contact your guy.
I have been searching or these tips. I have the primeweld cut60 plasma which uses the same gun. And i couldn't find gouging tips for the life of me. I don't see links for ordering these tips where do we find them??? That's exactly what i have been looking for!
I am so glad to have found your channel again apparently RUclips likes to unsubscribe people from channels I followed your channel for a very long time and then I just stopped seeing the videos in the feed list stumbled across one searching for something and found your channel again showed I wasn't subscribed but I know I was anyways I re-subscribe love your videos thank you for the great content!
Kevin, I am curious if you know if you can convert the cheaper chinese cut 50 type units to these different model of torch and consumables? I have a cut 50, it does OK but the torch is garbage and seems like swapping to these unit's would make it a better unit for normal use? Thanks sir and I appreciate all the content!
If you adapted that torch it would work question is how much is it and the consumables. The Chinese consumables don't last that's for sure and what a great idea making it to where it can't short out. Great video
I bought those tips and I can't get them to work in my Everlast 60.... WTF.. Doesn't seem to be complicated to change them, but apparently I've done something wrong...
Make sure the swirl ring is seated correctly. If it is not then the nozzle and tip won't fit. Call Everlast tech support, they will walk you through the install.
@@KevincaronSculpture first of all Thank you so much for replying so quickly. I didn't expect that. I'm not sure what the swirl ring is, but if it's the plastic looking ring then it was in correctly. I took this thing apart and put it back together at least a dozen times with no luck... Very frustrating..
@@KevincaronSculptureno I haven't had a chance to call everlast. Real busy this time of the year. I'm gonna call them as soon as I can. Then if that doesn't help I'll be reaching out to you. But if they are able to help I'll let you know. Thank you so much for following up with me. That means a lot. 👍
I don’t fully understand how those drag tips work. Seems like as soon as you touch it your workpiece and ground it, the arc would want to jump the shorter distance to the drag tip rather than the the work piece.
@@KevincaronSculpture Yeah I get that. If it wasn't it would short out as soon as you pulled the trigger. But once you touch the workpiece with the dragtip, they become electrically bonded through the ground clamp. Not knowing much about plasma cutters, it seems like the arc would then have an easier time jumping to the tip as opposed to the workpiece. I suppose since the arc is only being used to ionize the air though, it wouldn't really matter.
Lol! Real messed up! Like years ago! Looks like the guy in the last video was cutting without the trigger and then you can see thiers a red trigger on the plasma cutter within this video! Very aweful! Anyway! Awesome video
always a BIG thank you Kevin
Any time brother!
I sure hope George carries this for my torch, I'm going to check this out. Thank you!
Good luck!
Thank you for the wonderful beautiful effort.. in providing the useful in a simple and understandable language
It's my pleasure

You're welcome! These tips seem to last about 3 times longer than the oem consumables. I would definitely give George a call if you need some.
Always enjoy your updates and info.
I appreciate that!

The non-conductive tip is so smart! I hope it becomes standard place, like fuses. Cheers!
That would be nice if it did.
Awesome George is the best!!
I was wondering when they make a longer cap for the plasma cutters. Does your plasma cutter cap arc to the workpiece?😊
I am really not sure when the longer caps came out. The cap will arc to the metal if you try to drag a non drag tip. The machine will not be happy!
I have the everlast 60s (2019) Does it have the gouging function?? That you know of?? Thanks for the video brother....
Yes it does.
That cutting tip you show at the end, is it insulated as well? I'm used to hypertherm
Yes, it is!
Thanks Kev 😊👍
You are most welcome!

Glad to help
That was new, have only cut with plasma. Looks like plasma gouging would be useful removing welds when upcycling metal for a project. Thank you.
It does that very well for sure.

Go see George, www.georgesplasmacuttershop.com He has forgotten more about plasma then I will ever know.

George would be a better person to ask but I don't think they will work with these consumables.

The cup for the drag tip is insulated from the gun.
