I agreed! As long as proper maintenance done, I see some owners keeping it after 150k miles, and won’t replace it. First they still enjoying it, second: value went down so much, they understanding it doesn’t make sense to sell it for cheap. And i simply love to buy something much depreciated but full of cool things inside. Massaged seats, yes pls!
Seems like a good deal...but two things I think about on these. If this was a one owner, as was stated in the video, they took a HUGE hit over what they had paid when they got rid of it. The other issue here is that one repair can cost a significant value of the car, especially if you go to the Mercedes dealer
Thats 100% true! Thats why I will never go dealer, only mechanics I can trust. And most of the time will find a parts myself, since all resources available this days!
I think most people who buy a new S-Class, they know what they’re getting into cost/depreciation wise. Also, sometimes if you take a car to places other than a dealer, it could end up costing more than just the dealer. The other shop might not be able to fix everything, & then when you go to the dealer, you have to pay to diagnose the car, even if you know what’s wrong. Or, if the other shop supposedly fixes the problem, & then it doesn’t work, you might still have to go to the dealer. While dealers may cost more, I use it as piece of mind that it’s the last resort. I They should be able to fix all issues (if the car isn’t too old, & parts not available), maybe you can know whether it’s worth the cost to fix.
@@adamphynes7342 It seems to me that that the people that buys these new dont keep them past the warranty period. I agree with your finding a good independent mechanic when you can for the cars out of warranty. I just think that applies to the 2nd, 3rd etc owner. Its really the person that owned it in the first 4 years that takes the biggest hit in depreciation in the value of the car. But they DID have warranty peace of mind. After that the value of car [probably reflects the risk of ownership
I dont know why, but this video is very interesting to watch, how you recover cars from the auction, rebuild them and resell! Pricewise :) take that point, Andy
considering this car that gets compared to ultimate high brand cars such as Rolls-Royce, Bentley & other top of the line in luxury, this is rather the smartest buy when looking for brand & premium luxury all together.
I bought CPO with like 50,000 miles. That thing was nothing but trouble I couldn’t wait to sell it. I now just drive Lexus I have about four different Lexus vehicles. Please keep me updated on how soon you have to go to the dealership and how horrible to experience is even though everything is gonna be covered. It’s just having to go from driving your big beautiful ass class to now sitting in that little terrible C class. lol and then them telling you that they fix the problem but really they didn’t. They just reset everything they didn’t replace anything and the problem keeps coming back over over and over and over again they replace it and it fails again and you just keep dealing with the same couple of issues over and over and over again and no one knows how to fix them. lol but the car is beautiful. I love the self driving features in the Burmester speaker. System is awesome too. Absolutely absolutely the best looking sedan for that price range besides like a Rolls-Royce the presence I used to pull out of any parking lot and it was like to see what part everyone would let me cut in front of them because I’m driving the s class, of course.
I’m laughing so loud right now I own this car 2015 it had about 60,000 miles and I bought it and it was nothing but trouble so many electrical issues so many failures I went to the Mercedes dealership for three months straight every week every other week and every time I was given a little shitty ass C class or an E class to you some little small BS I got so fed up with the BS. I just end up selling it and going back to Lexus. I now have a 2001 LS 430 ultra luxury with massaging rear backseat package and radar cruise control. It’s hilarious how the new car does the same thing. The S class did for me. The LS even has air suspension as well. I paid 2200 for that LSI paid $80,000 for that S class. I’ll never buy a Mercedes again.
I feel your pain. I started with a E-350 no issues had it 4 years. My wife needed a car so I traded it for a 2006 GS 300 AWD this was 2014. Also purchased C-350 2008 from the same place the next week. I had it 5 years only issue was ignition coil. Finally traded it for a 2015 S-550 sport. Beautiful! After 3 years and my wife not knowing how to drive I got another Lexus LS 460. And we still have the GS300.
That’s crazy! But if you wouldn’t buy it, you would never get such a great experience in your life! people selling Lexuses because they getting boring of nothing happening with this cars at all)

Great find! The s class should come with a warning: "you can't drive anything else after you've driven an s class!" Simply the best in everthing.

SO TRUE! I test drove a new S class and ever since then I hate everything I drive when it comes to comfort and ride quality.
There’s a saying “you can buy a used $100k car for $20k but when something goes wrong, it’s a $100k car !!” 💸💸
It’s a chance with risk of course. But i would risk and drive Sclass vs any other car for same price. What would you choose?
@@AndyLaRidesme too, but in italy is not yet under 20k€ (the price is about 22k/40k€)
