Why this game is a superior ND game: Great 'in person' characters. Memorable phone characters. First for Sonny and Koko. First with an official 'checklist'. Different locations. Great mix of level of difficulty in puzzles. Scary ending is a plus. Great villain.
I have a master’s degree in Museology, and I’m honestly SO impressed with Alejandro’s character and the way this game handles repatriation and other ethical issues within the field. And in 2002?? Hell yeah.
When I was younger i loved the way Alejandro said the word conquistadors and also thought the chaco canyon cultural center had something to do with chocolate 🤣 😅one of my favorite Nancy Drew games
I haven't personally played scarlet hand but I probably should since it's my home city ^^ Seeing your playthroughs with this game is funny because when I was younger at one point I thought Henrik was shirtless underneath his lab coat. Now I always remember that moment when watching these annual marathons 😆😆
I think Heinrich is one of the most hilarious characters in the games. For all the chores you have to do I still thought this was a pretty good game, and I learned a lot. Also the death at the end with the newspaper photo of Nancy’s mummy shook me the first time I played 😂
Watching this as someone who lives in DC is hilarious. The map has the Mexican consulate at the Arlington cemetery in Virginia but it’s on DuPont circle on the other side of the map.
i was wondering why this game gives me the same vibe as shadow at the waters edge and i realized it's literally because the subway/train/transportation system in the game is the exact same sequence
"i'll take questions youd never ask after 2020 for 400 alex" "nancy drew says this to henrick upon first meeting him" " what is why are you wearing that mask?"
I have played this game ,multiple times, never once have I done the headphone/ checking the audio tracks without looking it up. It’s just too much back and fourth for me. I’m impressed they recorded all that for the game but. Before being able to take a screenshot with a phone, it was just a pain to go back and fourth from the exhibits, the notes, and the system. Would of been so much better if you had a way to bring the notes with you.
My trick for doing this with no online help was as I was exploring I essentially noted everything, all the gods, key words, years etc. Because I had read and heard so many reviews saying the learning aspect was super heavy. Having notes on my phone, taking photos (especially of Soony’s diary that labeled everything A-P really helped me, it made the audio tracks not so bad.
Alejandro had so little dialogue in this game, same for Joanna. The game was sightly above average, but after the Final Scene this game's story was lacking any stakes. So little creep factor. Enjoyable still, decent exploration and music, Nancy is likeable as usual.
Every time I revisit this game I appreciate Alejandro’s character more and more. Today, I lol’d so hard when Nancy so earnestly asked him if he considered Henrik a conquistador lmao
This is one of the handful of Nancy Drew games I actually owned and played myself. My young lesbian butt had a huge crush on Joanna. I can still see it, tbh.
Hey Michael, i am a claims adjuster with a large insurance company - who is the insurance carrier for the other driver in your car accident? i may be able to offer some insight and tips on how to get in touch with the other adjuster if you would like
2024 and I continue to come back to these play throughs just for the comfort and nostalgia of it all. Thank you for a peace of the past
Same!
Nancy suddenly being in charge of the operations in the middle of the game is hilarious.
right? haha like everyone left their jobs to her with no pay
Considering she‘s an intern it‘s pretty accurate to real life
I bet Franklin Rose is glad that Sunny June didn’t stick around and and that the museum is it in his hands right now

Alejandro was ahead of his time.
I love how Nancy can just waltz right into the Mexican consulate--in WASHINGTON, DC--without an appointment or anything.
this game thinks that the mexican consolate has time to waste on it XD

Y’know… if Henrik was 20 years younger… 😳💕
You got one of Sinclair's gross cookies? You're off the case!
But there from Oaxaca!

Why is Micheal so good at Prudence’s voice!? He had me fooled multiple times
I love binge watching your ND playlist every year. It always gets me in the mood to play the games!
This game is absolutely unhinged

Idk why but “My dude is napping” at 1:38:14 had me dead 🤣
the nurse is a HIPAA nightmare LMFAOOO
I haven't looked at this game in a hot second, I had forgotten how based it was with Alejandro
i was wondering why this game gives me the same vibe as shadow at the waters edge and i realized it's literally because the subway/train/transportation system in the game is the exact same sequence
Prudence Rutherford means listening to Michael's impression of her. Yay!
I feel like they did a lot of research for this one - definitely a classic.
This is my favorite game I think
I believe this was the first game I watched you do a play through of, it might be my favourite Nancy Drew game.
"i'll take questions youd never ask after 2020 for 400 alex"
"nancy drew says this to henrick upon first meeting him"
" what is why are you wearing that mask?"
nancys voice seems much higher pitched in this game, she sounds so peppy
“Who’s Taylor Sinclair?”
“It’s a secret tool that’ll help us later!”
Jeans with sweatpant fabric. My favourite winter apparel.
Alejandro is spitting facts though, based as fuck

Arglefumph should do a compilation video of all the Nancy Drew death scenes!

I keep hearing "Beech Hill" as be chill.
Your memory is better then mine 😅
29:24 When I visited Uxmal in 2019, our tour guide was a Maya, so I'm going with "no" for the alien abductions.
Love the weird Al reference
Poppy Dada is my new favorite phone character
IMO this game gas the best soundtrack
And which one is number eight
what happen to Bonanza and beech hill
