Fun fact: the library in this game and the Penvellyn’s library from Blackmoor Manor were designed by the same French guy, as stated by Nigel Mookerjee 😝
When I played this game as a kid, I thought Hotchkiss was neurotic. Now as an adult who's been diagnosed with ADHD... I RELATE TO HER. If I am working on something, I NEED to ride the wave of hyperfocus to get it done. If I don't, then the essay or project I'm working on will indeed come crashing down like a souffle as Hotchkiss describes. I can remember names much better than she can, though.
@Amelia I mostly like the RUclips channel How to ADHD! Jessica, the person who runs the channel, has a lot of helpful advice for managing ADHD and learning more about it. I unfortunately don't know of many other websites or resources. 😕
Lisa sounds a bit like Leela Yadav from Warnings at Waverly Academy. This was also my first Nancy Drew game I ever played, and it was what got me into playing them. Such a good one!
He was probably living it up in Wisconsin with his wife! Would have been a neat phone contact though. Same for Icicle Creek, if he had been able to tell Nancy about Yanni as a competitor of his
I think what people forget is that Marie Antoinette was from Austria (or at least what makes present day Austria) and they did not believe in teaching the women how to rule as it was still viewed as the man’s role and a woman’s only place being married to a monarch or heir was to produce heirs themselves. Preferably of the male variety. Her birth name was Antoine Sofia I believe, she descends from the Habsburg line. For many years the Austrian/Bavarian monarchies never believed in teaching women at court much, they were forbidden from learning to dance and play music even if I remember correctly. I believe the story was that once Anne of Cleves reached England she learned to dance and play music and would do so often as she loved it, her step-daughter Elizabeth (future Elizabeth I) loved to do so I hear as well, granted the marriage was short.
Marie’s pre-marital name was Maria Antonia. All of her sisters were Maria, named after their mother, Empress Maria. Edit: Hotchkiss confirms this in her notes.
@@IWillBeHers That’s right I forgot, I remembered she had a lot of sisters but I couldn’t remember their names. I do remember that France was one of many where when a woman from another kingdom/country married in, they would have their name changed. I know the Russians were another to do this.
@@IWillBeHers Oh yes that’s right, her sisters’, brother’s, and parent’s names were changed as well weren’t they? In English text books they are referred to as Isabella, Ferdinand, John, Joanna, and Mary when they are actually Isabel, Fernando, Juan, Juana, y Maria. I also believe in Russia the women had to change their names too, especially when converting to the Russian Orthodox Church.
The first time I played this I had no idea what couscous was, and when she ordered it I was so puzzled. I thought it was a made up word lol. Anyway, that's what I mostly am reminded of whenever I see her.
@@thespiderofhonor3732 Oh really? Well, would you possibly leave comments on them, or any of my other Nancy Drew videos, in the future, because many of them are sorely lacking in comments and I've been struggling to grow my channel, so feedback from other fans would be a big help.
So I did a google and It turns out Marie Antoinette founded the home for unwed mothers Google also gave the option to her last words and I clicked it And it says her last words were an apology to the executioner after stepping on his foot

Oh cool, where'd you find that fact?
This was the first ND game I ever played, so it's got a special place in my heart! I could play/watch it over and over 😊

I have ADHD Too, However, I would dirty my hands with Sausy Greesy Drumsticks while Doing my Work, Cause I have OCD as Well
Do you know any good research sites for someone with adhd?

This is the realest comment I have seen on a Nancy Drew game lol
I've been so addicted to the Nancy drew games ever since I 14 to 15 and now 33 years old
These marathons are what gets me through studying every year so thank you! Also my favorite game :)
Lisa sounds a bit like Leela Yadav from Warnings at Waverly Academy. This was also my first Nancy Drew game I ever played, and it was what got me into playing them. Such a good one!
I live for how Dexter pronounces library as libary.
My sister does the same thing.
My dad has been referencing that mistake since about 2005 lol
@@sir9integra9jr omfg 😂 that's amazing
I really like these marathons I found you watching last years and will continue to watch these. I like how relaxed and fun they are.
Same here. I started watching them years ago. They are fun to watch and Arglefumph does a really good job. It's very entertaining watching them.
Kind of a shame that the ski instructor did not make an appearance (or even a cameo) in Danger by Design

@@luv3horse I like that idea a lot!
this game feels so homey ahh. my first one like 15 years ago
It comes straight from the book. It was a Christmas vacation release.
Thanks for doing another marathon!
This one is my favorite. This and Haunted Mansion were my my first Nancy Drew games. I got them because of the covers and absolutely love them.
I am so excited for this marathon
I think it’s so strange that you can’t confront Lisa about lying about not being able to speak Spanish after you find the letter in her locker.
First Nancy Drew game I ever played ❤ 😊
You climbed inside the elevator shaft? You're off the case!
Yeah, cause you’re dead
You deserve so many more likes, you make great content

First game I ever played!
I just realized that Harper from ghost of Thornton hall is played by the same voice actress as Prof. Hodgekiss!
I love it!!!!
I'm not much of a meat eater but orders 50 drum sticks 😂
It's interesting to think we found them since this game came out
hotchkiss is so funny lol
I always loved this game cause it was in my home state
Man. No wonder I was so scared of Dexter Eagan as a child. What a mean mug. I’m still scared. 😅 1:24
Hotchkiss is my fave! Savannah tired with her tbh

Hotchkiss would love my stir fry’s, I substitute the rice with cous cous
Ok thanks for the pie make it lemon meringue & you got a date with drew game day
Other historians can kiss professor Hotchkiss’s Green medallion
Lol Michael your french accent sounds like Count Von Count from Sesame Street
Unless I’m mistaken, I think the question about the boxes is in the book too
@@HAFanForever Hi I have already seen some of your unused audio series .

I Beautiful is in quotation marks because it’s buried in snow right now so it’s kinda hard to judge the beauty
So the culprit hides the medallion in the shed for Nancy to find, but then locks the doors so she’ll freeze to death? Doesn’t really make sense.

Did they design lisa after mariska hargitay? They look like dopplegangers
Cola or soda
So it doesn't matter that much
