I think the other Celestials would be displeased with Ego for his plans since they were the ones who created the universe. They would have want to kill Ego.
I think I have it figured why Ego doesn’t have a giant armored body like the other Celestials. As Arishem explained Celestials gain their strength from the other populated life from the world they are planted in. Ego’s original host planet didn’t not have enough organic energy for physical form to rise it’s finest. Therefore, his emergence doesn’t go so well that he ended up coming out a disembodied brain, as such Arishem was not pleased with weak state of existence, stripped him of his memories and had exiled to drift in the void of space until his inevitable death.
I think this sequence is by far one of my favorites just for how serious it actually feels. A complete 180 when I first watched it. I wasn't sure I'd watch it when it was first announced just for how comedic the first one was, but it ended up becoming a truly memorable one for me👌🙌
Ego is just psychologically misformed. Antisocial and extremely rational because he was so lonely. He won't attach himself, he killed Quill's mom because he got too attached, still put in some effort to teach Quill to let go of any attachment, said "finally not alone",...
over thosands of years I implanted thousands of extensions of myself on thousands of worlds. I need to fufil life's one true purpose to grow and spread covering all that exist until everything is...me. I only had one problem single celestial doesn't have enough power for such enterprise, but two celestials well now that just might do
