Damn man... Capcom is on FIRE with these new characters. It already feels like AKI is going to be iconic. Her design is so striking in every possible way and wildly unique. Just sick!

All her animations are simply incredible, so fluid and dynamic, she really moves and attacks like a snake. Capcom did an amazing job creating this character
AKI’s animations are the best in the game, by far.
They’ve really nailed the snake like movements of hers and managed to translate them onto a human character. Really amazing work, and it feels like the designers and animators had a lot of love for this character.
Wow, Critical Art version of her Level 3 is sick!
All 4 or her supers are among the coolest in the game.

@@MusicoftheDamned it's an interesting twist on supers in anime/hyper fighters that are "summon shit above me that then rain down on someone at a diagonal angle"; what immidiately comes to mind is Zamasu's blades of judgement and maybe a bit of Vergil's summon sword positions in DMC and MvC
@@MUGENanaya Yeah, it may be that. It personally like it's the wire aspects that remind me of something that is going to bother me for a while unless I can figure it out. I don't think it's like a one-to-one thing either like how Scharlachrot from _Arcane Heart_ just straight stole Omega Red's Omega Destroyer.

I was sort of worried about the poison mechanics, but the fact that the poison stops if she A.K.I takes damage is genius. It rewards the A.K.I player for having a good defense, and it rewards the opponent for being able to break through that defense
Exactly the same as FANGs poison plus the poison only lasts a set amount of time anyway

Honestly, I think capcom has done the impossible : correct the F.A.N.G poison archetype which never found his spot during the SFV era. I'm already fond of A.K.I and will main her when she comes out !
I think with FANG his poisons were fine it just this other attacks which looks/feels goofy. With AKI, everything blends well with the poison archetype , her attacks flows nicely. Hence why I believe AKI will do well.
Her poison still looks like an after thought just like it was for FANG. She looks like a rush down archetype to me more than anything.

@@CallsignJoNayThe damage over time is neglible. The increased combo potential and improved properties on her specials is not.
Way better than Fang if you ask me.
@mappybc6097 My point exactly. She's not really a poison archetype where the majority of her damage comes from it. You could take the poison damage over time mechanic away from her completely and it probably wouldn't change anything about her.
All of her movements are mesmerizing. The animation team went full burnout combo on her.
I love these character guide videos that Capcom is doing for Street Fighter 6 but I do wish they would show the command inputs for each special move and super combos
They do... in the game.
Be patient. We won't be able to play her anyways until the release. I am curious too, but there is no use to know the input now.

From what we can see in this video, she's able to perfom a lot of her special moves without charging. If she needed to charge she would have to crouch for a few seconds, but she is able to move freely while doing them. So she's at least a hybrid like Dee jay

As a dedicated FANG main, I am excited that AKI will bring his gameplay style a new spin. Hopefully she'll be both fun and balanced; considering I'm maining JP I'll need a good counterpick against mirrors or anti-JP match-ups.

Eyyy, fang main here too. She seems to be pretty strong. Also seems her skill ceiling might be pretty high seeing how complex her game play is
I like how the footage is choreographed to show off the interactions between tools.
If youre comboing someone in a puddle, it looks like you can get multiple blossom activations in a row.

Serpent Lash acts exactly like Yamazaki’s Serpent Slash from KOF, it’s even named almost exactly the same. That’s dope, I have to assume they did that on purpose

I do like her unique hairstyle, whereas Marrisas is styled like a Greek gladiator helmet, hers is styled like a Chinese straw hat, which I often see Ronin/Samurai wear during travels.
its also a similar tribute toward her master almost, given Fang had that wide brimmed hat that evoked the kind of image of a classic kung fu henchmen. her design is very well executed to make her freakish but also very nasty to fight.
It's officially confirmed her hairstyle is based off that of a japanese assassin's hat

The poison mechanic is pretty cool. With FANG, you really didn't care about getting poisoned but with AKI's poison explosions extending her combos, you really don't wanna get hit with the purple stuff now.
Her taunt makes a Fang bubble XD, love her already, she looks like a NIGHTMARE to zooners, also her CA ver of her lv3 is INSANELY COOL.
She's a zoner that fucks over other zoners...sounds incredibly fun lol

I was already rlly excited to try her out but now i’m super hype after understanding her skills. She seems like so much fun to play and has so many tools and buffed moves just like rashid. Can’t wait for her release

@@lepetitnegro8827 I think he's a bit of a gimmicky knowledge check character that has to work quite hard for not a lot. A.K.I. seems a bit more straightforwardly good.

Still, within 2 next years when current-gen graphics become the standard, this game will look quite outdated.
Imo, it was a bad choice to make it cross-gen from a point of view of a consumer who wants the highest quality.

This game has been created so PS4 users can play it, ERGO it uses previous-gen graphics.
Meanwhile, the rest of the gaming industry is (finally) moving towards current-gen graphics (PS5), which are, obviously, miles above previous-gen.
Thus, SF6 will look rather weak in a few years when over 90% of AAA games will be using current-gen graphics.
And so, if you want the highest quality possible, it was a bad choice made by Capcom to make it cross-gen (work both on previous and current generations of consoles).

Fighting games are made to last 7 years+, so all of them are destined to be outdated visually, this is assuming all of them push the visual boundaries of the current console-gen to the max when they are released (hint: they don't, outside of Mortal Kombat and Tekken most prefer focusing on a stronger art direction).
And not only are new-gen consoles outside the price range of most people, they are owned by less people, leading to fewer people playing an online game... which is the worst that could happen to an online game. Name 1 successful exclusively online game that does not try to be in as many platforms as possible. And you are only taking into consideration 1 console series, ignoring the amount of players in PC and XBox.

Obviously, casuals don't care about such things, especially when there are barely any games that've shown real capabilities of current-gen consoles.
Nice that you've pointed out that the games always age--EXACTLY, and that is why going a step backwards by trying to keep the previous gen owners happy makes it only worse.
As for quality of graphics supposedly not mattering -- why buy new consoles, then?

I love this character. She's so well design, I feel like a lot of work was put into her. And her moves seem crazy too, lots of control to them.
I gotta say, the design of Aki to Fang is quite the contrast! In a good way of course.
The follow up for the poison attacks are pretty much gills retribution mechanic from 5.
It also reminds me of Testament's Shock State in Guilty Gear Strive

This is the first SF game where every newcomer to the universe is just fantastic. I sure miss all my favourites, my main is missing, all my secondaries are missing, but the newcomers are so awesome I don't even mind that much.

I play Luke, but AKI might be my new main!! She doesn't have an invincible uppercut which is the only thing I'll miss. But she does have a good OD reversal anyway, and her Level 1 seems fully invincible except projectiles. Which the OD slide covers anyway. Very excited for this character

Her name's Aki, which is the word for Fall/Autumn in Japanese (秋), so it can't be a coincidence they release her in Autumn. And indeed, she'll fit right in the Halloween mood. ^^
