      If an ordinary citizen did this he/she would be going to jail/prison for many many many years but it seems there's bi-standard justice between rich and poor and the level of power and connections a person holds‼️🙄🤔🤬😤😡😠😳😱😭

    • @prodemocracyseth

      @@rosex3271 no it just takes more evidence, than what they had on him, to put away high profile suspects, like him. Of course a normal person would be in jail by now. Because a normal person can't afford to cover up everything, making it harder for investigators to find the evidence needed to lock them away. Did you know Al Capone was a Mob Boss for 6 years before the FBI finally got him on tax fraud? Because he was able to cover his crimes and the fact that he gave the orders. That's normally the case with high profile suspects. It's not just that there is this 2 tired system. Yes at times it can seem like that. The court and prison systems get more money out of them, from them appealing every ruling made, then they would by having them behind bars. The point is to drain them of funding as much as possible before putting them away. That is if the evidence is sound proof.

      He's been exposed for years. It's pathetic that it has taken this long for the legislature of Texas to do anything and Paxton's argument that he was "prohibited from presenting evidence to defend himself" is a stupid argument for the uneducated. The impeachment trial in the Texas Senate is where he will be given the opportunity to present evidence. That's how impeachment works. Trump used the same argument when he was impeached, twice.

    • @markhooker8520
      @markhooker8520 11 месяцев назад

      I believe this was the sequence of events:
      1. Four of his TOP people reported him the the FBI.
      2. The four were then fired
      3. So they sued Paxton for wrongful termination.
      4. They won, and the judge awarded the plaintiffs $3.5M
      5. So Paxton, ever the grifter, tried to get the state legislature to pay the award! Yes, he wanted taxpayers to pay for his misdeeds.

      Impeachment is like bringing an indictment - it's just a determination to bring charges. The defendant NEVER gets to present evidence at that stage. He will have every right to present evidence in his trial in the Senate. Complaining that he couldn't present evidence in the impeachment is a bald-faced lie, and he also knows VERY well that it's a lie. But he lies anyway because he ALSO knows that there are a lot of ignorant fools who will just eat up his lies. There's no down side to lying, the ignorant population won't hold it against him.

    Paxton seems to be one of those nightmare, careerist animals that sucks up to power while being a nightmare for those beneath him. Likely he’s charmed a lot of powerful people who have no idea who he really is. If there was ever a bipartisan agreement in America, it’s that both sides blindly love their own monsters while hating the other sides who they see as even worse than they truly are. The attacks only help entrench the monsters.
