Somebody has to know who was driving the vehicle. Let's see, they drive a white suv, they use Walmart, they've been missing for four days. Should we contact the police?wth

I have passed several of these natural gas pipeline valve substations and I haven't seen any protection other than chain link fence around them. Most are only off roadway approximately 100 feet. Many times, there are structures ( houses, barns, businesses, schools, churches, etc.) within 500 to 2,000 feet from pipeline values. Would thought there would be some kind industry enforcement to put better protection from vehicle crashes and vandalism in place.

It is sad that a lack of regulation allows companies to put profit over safety. I would think bollards would be in order, or something as effective.

@@charlesdeblanc3386 maybe something like that would be in the way of getting heavy equipment close to value for repair, but your suggestion had merit and would be above a little inconvenience for their work

Semi trucks also have to be able to get close to them for pipeline maintenance. Blowing out lines, pressure testing, etc . I feel pretty certain that valve and it's station area was to code. All of those valves look basically the same. They are all over the place.

Billions upon Billions for Ukraine. 35 trillion in debt but a simple concrete barrier around our infrastructure? Not a chance.
