@ChronicNewb Well, the parties have changed A LOT since that time period. Plus, I think who the Klan supports in the modern day is more concerning that who they did over a century and a half ago.
@@ChronicNewb Back in the day around the civil war the KKK and other pro slavery groups were actually backed by democrats, with the democratic party being the main group who tried to stop america from illegalizing slavery. Obviously things have changed a lot since then but they were referencing the KKK's roots.
