    I’ve watched 50 reviews of this scanner, you are the only person that changed the orientation of the object to scan the bottom. I asked other RUclipsers and they told me it can’t be done. I see people do it with the revopoint pop scanner. That was the only factor for me. I’m glad I saw your video. I’m going to order this now. Others are going on to great lengths to find ways to scan the bottom, and none of them know that the orientation of the object can be changed lol. They release a new firmware with some additional options. My scanner is coming tomorrow. I’m so happy I saw your review

    Wow that's a pretty nice result of the owl! Interesting when you want to replicate things and especially difficult models. Great video!

    Been using 3d scanners for months now, have two, I know I am super happy not being in the creality ecosystem. I wish there was more support for Linux, but tell then I keep a windows laptop around. Love your channel and the videos on Freecad!

    Been wanting a scanner for a while, but I've had a lot of budget setbacks lately 😢 so I'll just design and build a powered turntable till then😊

    Nice! It would be interesting to see how to get a scan … or use a scan … in Alibre.

    You were lucky that all the ducks lined up so easily. The compatibility on this Ferret is murder. I can't get it to run on my phone (Motorola Moto G Stylus 2021) nor my PC nor my laptop.
    I've been at it about a week now may have to send it back.

      Sorry it hasn't worked out for you. It only took me a few hours to get used to it and get good scans.

    nice demo! interested about the post processing experience (if any). i've always been interested in optics based 3d scanners, but I get the feeling there would be a lot of clean up effort.

      I have been pleasantly surprised so far. The biggest need for cleanup has come from unclean scans, so if the scanner picks up something that isn't the owl that needs to be cleaned up.
      Also the base of the owl is loose and wiggles a lot which creates noise that isn't the fault of the scanner

    Hello. Ferret, POP3 or Mole? What do you think have more detail and Accuracy. Thank you so much for the video.

      Great question! I've honestly only tried the Ferret so far, but it went very well.

    Thx for the interesting video. Is it correct, that the size of the part you printed by using the scan, is almost the same size as the original part?

    • @JokoEngineeringhelp
      @JokoEngineeringhelp  8 месяцев назад

      Correct, they are for all practical purposes the same size. The slicer is capable of scaling if needed.

    How accurate are these things? I build guitars and I'd like to scan the neck of a guitar to replicate it through CNC. Guitar players are very sensitive to the thickness and shape of a guitar neck. I don't know exactly how much of a difference they would notice--let's say 0.1 mm. Could this scanner provide that level of accuracy?
